Dr. Joanna Kujawa | Sexual Alchemy, Erotic Rapture, & The Goddesses of Eros
Wombs as Stargates, Ancient Goddess Lineages
The metaphor of "wombs as forgotten stargates" is used to describe the feminine element necessary for passing between dimensions. Dr. Kujawa traces a lineage of erotic goddesses including Inanna, Ishtar, and Isis, who all share themes of higher magic and resurrection. She notes that women who held this secret knowledge were historically demeaned as harlots or prostitutes by mainstream patriarchal religions to protect the egos of male authorities.
