Peter Cowan | The 49ers Substation Story, EMF, & Light Health
EMF Meter Readings, Residential Safety Standards and Childhood Leukemia
Peter Cowan describes visiting the 49ers' substation with his father, an electrical engineer, to take magnetic field readings. They recorded levels around 8.9 milligauss, which significantly exceeds the 4 milligauss limit set by some European countries for residential safety. Cowan cites historical research from the 1970s linking 3 milligauss exposure to increased risks of childhood leukemia.
