About this episode

Peter Cowan and the Sunlight is Life team have ignited a national firestorm by linking the San Francisco 49ers' historic injury rates to a massive electrical substation expansion at their Santa Clara practice facility. While General Manager John Lynch and NFL officials remain publicly dismissive, players like John Feliciano and George Kittle have openly questioned if the 2,000% capacity increase in 2014 is responsible for the team's frequent non-contact Achilles and tendon ruptures. Cowan presents magnetic field readings of 8.9 milligauss at the site, a level more than double the residential safety limits established in several European nations.

Historical precedents for this biological interference include the Moscow Signal, where the Soviet Union targeted the US Embassy with low-power microwaves, leading to the death of Ambassador Walter Stossel from leukemia. Cowan cites the research of Dr. Robert O. Becker and Andrew Marino to illustrate how electromagnetic fields cause oxidative stress and dehydrate collagen-rich tissues, making ligaments brittle and prone to failure. The investigation further details the 2004 California firefighter study that documented brain anomalies near cell towers, a finding that eventually led to specific 5G exemptions for fire stations under SB 649 despite the restrictive Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Beyond the gridiron, the discussion explores the legacy of heliotherapy and Nobel Prize winner Niels Finsen, who utilized light to treat lupus before the pharmaceutical era. Peter Cowan shares his own recovery from Silicon Valley tech abuse, moving from chronic fatigue to founding a quantum biology practice. The segment highlights the eerie coincidence of the Cowan surname appearing across the EMF research landscape and concludes with a look at the dead trees George Kittle observed near the substation before the NFL removed them from public view.

CHAPTER 01 / 19 Discussion

Peter Cowan, 49ers Injury Mystery and EMF Exposure

Host Greg Carlwood introduces Peter Cowan, a board-certified quantum biology practitioner and founder of Sunlight is Life. The discussion centers on Cowan's investigation into the San Francisco 49ers' high injury rates and their potential link to a massive electrical substation located near Levi's Stadium. Cowan's work has recently gained mainstream attention, being discussed by figures like Joe Rogan and the team's general manager.

00:00 The planet's puppet masters almost surely have a plan There clearly may be something there beyond the realm of man And until we've thoroughly tested every last closed-chested view I find, the more we think we know The less we really do Where would we be without THC? Cause we know they're lying to us Just don't know to what degree Where would we be without T H C They trash your company

01:10 Well, it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood people from the Sunshine State. I'm Greg Carlwood and for over 100 years we've been under a pretty relentless assault to sell the industrialized system as progress over our crude and primitive natural ways but our bodies have fundamental needs and most of the important ones have no man-made substitutes Despite the sales pitch, most human problems can't be solved with petrochemical pills or invasive surgery. Nor should you treat the luxury of electric light as a free pass to ignore your biological rhythm or the comfort of rubber-soled shoes is a reason and never let your bare feet touch the energizing earth And although their relentless list of obligations and never ending economic pressures were under cause us to cave to the convenience of prepackaged ultra processed factory frankenfoods

01:58 Most of it contains not much more of what our body needs or wants than the packaging it came in. Well, the breakneck pace of industrialized capitalism has seen more than a few health-degrading effects swept under the rug and a recent inquiry into the fact that San Francisco 49ers far and away lead the league in injuries coupled with their stadium's tight proximity to large electrical substations Finally has a fair amount of people asking if excessive EMF exposure might be a new example of one of those things. And much of the discourse over this possibility spirals out of a series of sub stack posts written by today's guest Peter Cowan, which include his own first hand EMF meter readings of the area, history of our outdated regulations and more information that all builds a pretty good case that this nearby substation and team's excessive injuries are likely related

02:46 He's a peter of many trades as the founder of Sunlight is Life, a company that provides software tools for light and sun exposure optimization. And Living Energy Wellness where he practices as a board certified quantum biology practitioner He is a software developer, pianist and composer as well. And I look forward to getting into this story the injury mystery solver 49ers knight in shining armor and champion of the sun Peter welcome to THC. Thanks for having me Greg great introduction by the way i try and try and i know you're blowing up right now so i appreciate you doing this with me joe rogan's talking about it the general manager of that team is being asked about it, you're on some sport shows but today are what the humble stoner dropout do in a show from a spare bedroom so i am honored what does to be clear i'm also has got out so we.

CHAPTER 02 / 19 Discussion

John Feliciano, Locker Room Jokes and Substation Proximity

Former 49ers player John Feliciano publicly joked about the electrical substation being a cause for team injuries, though he noted that high-level players take the issue seriously. Peter Cowan highlights the physical proximity of the substation to the practice fields, noting it is a unique variable no other NFL team faces. A clip of the 49ers' general manager shows the organization's dismissive public stance toward EMF meters and independent readings.

john feliciano· levi's stadium· electrical substation· injury rates· nfl· general manager

03:40 One of my own. I love it. I failed at becoming a stoner though, so you beat me on that Oh man well the bar is pretty low for success in that field! I don't know man i really failed we can talk about that later if you want oh man all right well obviously The big offering on the table is the 49ers thing. I'm not much of a sports guy but I am interested in EMF exposure and Real world like case studies of high level emf exposure and this is one of them. Talk to us about this how did this really get on your radar was it really. Hearing this clip i believe from your sub stack it seem to be you heard one of the players saying that there's a long running locker room joke that maybe has something to do with their excessive injuries yeah it was john police and he is an expert in our end, do you love watching nfl just cuz aesthetically its very like old nfl films just as a nice thing to watch and

04:38 It's chaos, everybody has got helmets on. You can't tell who is who it just a release but yeah I don't know much about NFL beyond that. But John Feliciano he is just like you know well loved ex-49er he was always on the Bay Area radio shows and people just know that Niners as having really high injury rates like if your into fantasy football you always know if you go to 49 or you are better be keeping my eye whoever I do not actually have fantasy football work so something about that So he clearly was joking when he said, you know I think it might be that electrical substation. And the guys, the host laughed but then he goes on You know there's some very very high level players in organization who take this substation seriously and they He's like as i think It might have to do with the thyroid or something and they do a lot of these really special practices to mitigate against the effects

05:37 And so that just a juxtaposition of those two things of him joking and then actually it's serious maybe thing okay sounds like people think this is a joke but the players are taking seriously but nobody else is taking them seriously. So i'm gonna take them seriously and The one thing I wanted to add to that though, is I had gone do a Niners game back in 2022 and you cannot miss that substation. It's just it's massive and then you go up the back steps and it's just like those things they're buzzing and they're just like feels weird so yeah that's what really got me onto this story and I should say that I was turned on to that story by this

06:18 journalist named Chase Senior, and he posted about it. And I follow a lot of people who are really EMF on X and some people who are super electro-hypersensitive just to get that perspective and there's this one guy that he shared it and I didn't know that actually had gone super viral as I caught up when I was in his first 10 thousand views or so. So I thought oh that's interesting this football guys writing about this and you got a bunch of details kind of wrong but And everybody was calling him a conspiracy. There's like, that's cool. I'm going to run with it. Yeah. Well, I appreciate that you did and I figured so I will just add a photo the aerial shot of the stadium area because yeah, the substation is right there. There is a correlation that no team has this many injuries and no team is playing so often

07:14 this near a substation. You can look at all the stadiums out there, none of them are this near to an EMF emitting power station and I wanted to think it'd be fun to share this little clip This is the general manager talking about the situation you know this but for the people we'll let him hear it. You know what I would tell ya Eric because it deals with allegedly, you know the health and safety of our players. I think you have to look into everything and so our guys have been we've been reaching out to anyone and everyone that see does a study exist other than a guy sticking apparatus underneath the fence? And by coming up with a number that I have no idea what that means. You know, that's what we know exists. We've heard that debunked, right? So yes, we will look into it.

08:04 The health and safety of our players is the utmost priority. We pour into it, our ownership Jed tremendous in terms of resources and we'll always be cognizant of things I know that a lot of games have been won at this facility since it opened but yeah we aren't going to turn a blind eye will look into everything I just love that because it's so typical of the attitude the dismissal of these things you mentioned the guy joking you say one point we joke about the things that we can't comfortably just bring up and that is so true and its just.

CHAPTER 03 / 19 Discussion

EMF Meter Readings, Residential Safety Standards and Childhood Leukemia

Peter Cowan describes visiting the 49ers' substation with his father, an electrical engineer, to take magnetic field readings. They recorded levels around 8.9 milligauss, which significantly exceeds the 4 milligauss limit set by some European countries for residential safety. Cowan cites historical research from the 1970s linking 3 milligauss exposure to increased risks of childhood leukemia.

milligauss· gauss meter· childhood leukemia· magnetic fields· electrical engineer· residential exposure

08:46 You know he's being a little shitty. We need more than some guys sticking a meter under the fence and getting some reading I don't know what the hell the number means well god forbid you learn something man i mean at least i'm smart enough to know what i don't know and no that there are EMF readers and these numbers that they come up with do have some significance. Talk to us about that, talk to us about actually going there and the less dismissive shitty version of the story that he gave there. I will but let me just say though i think i think there really is something too about the fact that if people keep this in the joke realm they have more freedom to actually address it so it wasn't on their clip but like the reporter who asked the question

09:29 He took like 45 seconds to ask the question. He's like, I think it's probably been debunked and all this really ridiculous but before he even said anything and it was just everybody is so afraid to touch it and he hasn't reached out. He says we've reached out to everybody. He hasn't reached out to me. Nobody's reaching out to me except for the stoner high school dropout with awesome podcast. I'm kind of the foil here, so it's just kind of how things work and like. I don't even think of it as shady. I just think that is like this status quo and like that's what you deal with until the status quo changes but just to give more context actually answer your question. I went there with my dad on the way to airport after Thanksgiving. I was down in Bay Area and I was like Dad do you want to go check out this substation thing? He's an electrical engineer he got excited and we made a plan

10:17 Go with him and then we're gonna go meet my daughters and my mom in an out burger, and then go to the airport. But we get there and my plan I didn't couldn't go exactly where i wanted to go because there is like gates and stuff so we had to find another place And then There's guards there and they're nice but they're very much just like you know I can answer your questions and stay away So I found a place to look it wasn't ideal and I could tell that There was magnetic fields all over the place. I really wanted to get the one that was closest to the facility, so... ...I was measuring a lot higher than what I showed on my gauss meter which was about 8.9 or something like that. But then shortly after, my dad started having some health issues and I had taken him to the doctor, so it just went real quick but for context like for some guy sticking an apparatus under a fence and getting an 8.9 milligauss

11:08 What does that mean? Well, in a normal like residential exposure you're going to have like about point five milligauss to maybe up to like nine ten maybe even fifteen if you live under some high voltage power lines but not a ton of people really do. And then just as far as health concerns go There's european countries that cut it off at four miles for residential exposure. And the reason i do that is because there's a lot of studies from the seventies and showed around three milagros childhood leukemia becoming an issue so double what a lot of countries are calling their cap and this is just one

11:51 Random reading on a day where you say far from peak load i mean this is a quiet monday they probably don't have everything turned on. And this isn't like the team plays there once in awhile this is right near their practice field and this is their job so their exposure is routine and very frequent, i think it's like six days a week for chance of the year weather therefore either training or recovery are watching films are All the things i do it's that's their place and. The facilities are closer to the substation in a field by large margin.

CHAPTER 04 / 19 Discussion

Mitochondrial Biophysics, Collagen Dehydration and Non-Contact Injuries

The conversation explores the biophysical mechanism where low-frequency electromagnetic fields disrupt mitochondrial function. Peter Cowan explains that these fields cause oxidative stress and cellular dehydration, specifically affecting collagen-rich tissues like tendons and ligaments. This dehydration makes the tissue brittle, potentially explaining the 49ers' frequent non-contact injuries, such as Dre Greenlaw's Achilles tendon rupture.

mitochondria· atp· oxidative stress· paul herrou· collagen· easy water

12:27 So in your first piece, you say the EMF hypothesis here fits like a glove. It's the one variable no other team faces at this intensity and the injury pattern collagen rich failures and tendons injunctions matches the exact biological disruptions documented in peer reviewed research talk to us about that research and these specific injuries conforming to it? I think the specific injuries is really important because I'll get misquoted as saying that they have the most injuries of any team when i don't know if they actually have the most injuries on a team. I'm specifically looking at collagen

13:07 based like tendon soft tissue injuries and even more importantly, the non-contact kind. So I called out one specific injury, Dre Greenlaw at the Super Bowl a year or two ago he tore his Achilles' tendon just running on the sideline into the field. He tore it before he got into that field no contact was just like jumping and then running. It's really that kinda thing in my article is highlight this specific set of injuries angle syndromes and that sort of thing. And so injuries could be like, you know, a bone break or like a muscle strain and concussion whatever those things don't really fall into this category. So I just want to be clear about that because I have people debunking me. That's not even my argument. I could be wrong but let's at least talk about the same thing. So I think, you know, I get into some pretty deep mechanisms here

14:06 But I think from a high level, just from a kind of high-level biophysics perspective... Are you familiar with the mitochondria? I've heard of it yeah what is the weather what's your take on my condor just i hear about this from dr jack cruises work and a lot of the. Easy water stuff as well as the light stuff but mitochondrial party or dna and it's like obviously very important and seems to be regulated by sunlight largely you already have more than understand most people so That's great. And I'll just for the listeners that maybe don't know, let's just say like if you ever took a high school anatomy class you learn that mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell and they generate some energy is called ATP it's a molecule and so that's kind of like the classic biochemical understanding of mitochondria as it generates ATP and then water in carbon dioxide or byproducts and free radicals

15:01 more precisely radical oxygen species are kind of like the exhaust. And so, like if the mitochondria aren't running effectively they're creating more free out radicals and that can eventually lead to something called oxidative stress which breaks down your cells and causes disease this whole story right here is not controversial at all if you go to any biomedical biochemical journal they're going to just say yeah that's 100% right So when we get into biophysics though The water is not a byproduct. It's actually perhaps the most important product of mitochondria, maybe even more so than ATP but let's just say it's very important and there is a reciprocal relationship between the radical oxygen species and the water. So the more radical oxygen species that are being produced, the less water. My high-level thesis looked at the work

15:56 Canadian doctor named Paul Perot, who has studied specifically magnetic fields and their effect on the mitochondria. And he's shown that so the mitochondria basically what they do is you mentioned light but let's stick to the simple biochemical story real quick as they take food and turn it into electrons and then the electrons transport across the inner membrane of the mitochondria and there's protons from hydrogen that go to a different place, and it creates like a battery effect. When you have electrons moving, you get a magnetic field. It's creating its own endogenous electromagnetic field

16:35 And so what Paul Harreau discovered is that there's one of the four laws of electromagnetism from James Maxwell Plurkett, he was a physicist from the 1800s. Was that if you superimpose one electromagnetic field onto another, you will alter the field. So Basically, we've got on the mitochondria this very high frequency field and overlaying it a very low frequency field. And so the way I like to visualize it is that if you were to drop a pebble in upon, do you get the tiny little ripples? And then let's say a boat came by from far away and you get these big waves. And so when you're at the bottom of the wave, the ripples are kind of getting compressed and where at the top they're getting stretched. And so think of that

17:20 Electromagnetic field in your mitochondria is getting stretched and compressed, and you're losing electrons. When you lose electrons, you get more radical oxygen species and less water which leads to dehydration at the cellular level. And collagen happens to be 99.7% water And water is a structural component of the collagen. As you mentioned, we have easy waters that the metabolic water that's actually more structured than typical like bulk water recalled it comes from a tap or something. So basically we're dehydrating the athletes and is causing their collagen to be weaker

18:01 Right and so the ligaments and tendons of your body that typically are supposed to stretch their breaking instead there rupturing because of this specific dehydration of the cell caused by this field exposure. Exactly and i think one more nice visual for people to imagine is if you've ever taken a rubber band or left it outside in the sun If you know where is the rest of your bed and give it a couple days in the sun any pull and just breaks. That's the light doing it and so its different if that's more direct mechanism of like doing not to rubber which i don't think is college and bass but it's the same idea you need dehydrated substance and loses flexibility yes i think thats a great visual, so when we talk on the phone we got into the idea of a conspiracy here of course

CHAPTER 05 / 19 Discussion

Industry Cover-Ups, Robert O. Becker and Nonlinear EMF Effects

Peter Cowan compares the EMF industry to past health scandals involving asbestos and lead paint. He references the work of Dr. Robert O. Becker and Andrew Marino, who documented how the industry averages inconsistent study results to claim "no effect." Cowan notes that the Navy and other government entities historically shut down research showing any biological effect from electromagnetic radiation to protect economic and military interests.

robert o. becker· andrew marino· the body electric· mk ultra· dan rather· navy antenna

18:54 I don't shy away from that word but a lot of folks in some of these interviews you've been doing particularly sports world they're just like, they laugh off the whole thing as a conspiracy theory but to me it doesn't have to be some radical conspiracy. It's just history is full of products used at large scale that turn out to be bad for health, the industry covers it up as long as they can and only changes when they're forced to. Asbestos lead paint pesticides food additives nonstick cookware is another good category does EMF fit into this sort of pattern do you? I think it does yeah and like

19:33 And like you, I'm like what's the conspiracy? Like is the substation conspiring with the Patriots or something to injure the 49ers. But you bring up a good point. There's economic interest involved in these things and sports teams and in electric infrastructure. If you want to expand it to the larger EMF question cell phone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc., etc. There's a lot of economic interest in keeping things as they are and i like you mentioned asbestos because there was a journalist named paul broder who exposed he was no i think he won whatever greatest prizes you can win for

20:18 For journalism and he really exposed his best as issue. And then you went on to write about electromagnetic radiation, and it just for some reason never quite caught on as much as that is the story So funny yeah i saw you right about that and. On the subject of the idea of a cover up u did tweet a clip of one of the players joking that these substation gave him superpowers and use say, his joke echoes the science robert becker and andrew marino documented that emf effects are non linear same exposure can harm one person barely touch another and even enhance function in a third

20:59 Industry used this variable, this variability to rig studies because you take the average of wildly different outcomes together and you get quote no consistent effect. He inadvertently mirrors with his joke exactly how the science was buried." So interesting I mean that's wild tell us a little bit more about burying this information or fixing these studies in this way? Before i talk about it im just going to show you that book cause i happen have it right here It's called going somewhere and it is by a doctor and you're in and he work with dr robert becker who was just. I'm pioneering researcher and bio electricity basically orthopedic surgeon,

21:43 His book the body electric is very hard to read but really good i have it back there somewhere i've tried uh, I know. It's like summaries better than reading the actual text yeah it's a hard one but i would say for that but for just your average reader if you're interested in like the varying of the science there's a chapter and called something doors hammer or something like that and it's just all about the studies that the government was doing with mk ultra and so on and so forth to use this kind of stuff for controlling people's behavior theoretically. It's all documented, if you want to talk conspiracy go read that book I don't know all the details on that stuff myself but back to the question you asked about variability they discovered these issues and Andrew Marina was his biophysics assistant in a lab he was just like a research workhorse it was his life goal

22:41 to just have a study that shows directly harm caused by, it doesn't even have to be harm. Just effect because what was happening is they would do these studies and let's say they take some rats and expose them to some magnetic fields over time And then you know they did what they do as the rats had babies and then they exposed the babies and yet like three generations down Often in the third generation, like they're just these scrawny little weak things because they've been harmed by the electromagnetic radiation. But because it's nonlinear you'd get other populations that nothing happened at all and other ones where they grew bigger. And so the industry would take these three sets and then average them together and say oh there is no effect. There is a great clip from Robert O'Becker

23:33 YouTube and he's being interviewed by sixty minutes i think it's ten rather even and he had been contracted to do some. studying on an antenna that the Navy was going to build in Wisconsin, a massive radio antenna to see if it would have health effects. And he found that it would have health effects and he found that not only would the radio have health effects but the electricity in our homes you know everything is gonna have health effects. So he went on that show to kind of air his findings as the Navy shut down his report Dan Rather is talking to me, he says so you're telling me that whenever they do a study that finds negative health effects from electromagnetic radiation. They shut it down and Becker says no anytime they have a study that shows any effect whatsoever they shut her down So there's your conspiracy theory and

24:32 Again, though it's like we built the backbone of our economy on electricity and tech and stuff. And I don't think it's going anywhere honestly so... I'm not really an activist or anything. I just want people to be healthy. That was kind of where I was coming from this whole time Yeah i think that's totally fair i eat fast food sometimes it is what it is but at least it's an informed decision. I wanna know what's going on if i choose to use my phone for eight hours a day at least don't lie to me and tell me that that's harmless because im okay with dealing with the consequences but i want the raw truth and so thats kinda what this is about totally

CHAPTER 06 / 19 Discussion

Andrew Marino, Power Line Wars and Personal Mitigation Strategies

The discussion covers Andrew Marino's legal and scientific battles against high-voltage transmission lines in New York. Because magnetic fields are difficult to block with physical shielding like Faraday cages, Cowan suggests focusing on biological resilience. Recommended mitigation strategies include morning sun exposure, red light therapy, and the use of selective antioxidants like molecular hydrogen to manage radical oxygen species.

andrew marino· faraday cage· red light therapy· molecular hydrogen· antioxidants· circadian rhythm

25:09 And i didn't get into robert o becker's work until after he passed away but i did. Reach out to andrew marino a couple times and we talked about doing an interview is a bit of a character, add it doesn't come together but you have written about his lessons from the power line wars this isn't interesting little story that kind of informs the overall thesis here right yeah i think so for sure By the way i have done some emailing with him to he's really interesting guy. Really really cool he gave me the best compliment think of everything in my life. He reminds us peter and fifty years that i've been doing this work you are the most insightful person i come across wow yes i love that and just made my life

25:57 He's kind of a hero mine because you know he's the biophysics pioneer and in upstate new york when they were doing these long really high voltage. Transmission lines use concern about it because he knew about the health issues and He knew that the experts that they were getting, they were getting paid for by the power companies and maybe to some extent of state government. I don't remember that. Actually at that time there were people in public office who were interested in health effects more so than maybe they are now and he didn't think that they were going to get a good hearing from their experts. So he went and got his law license

26:39 While he was being a lab assistant for Robert Becker, Becker gave him permission to go get his legal degree so he could represent them in this fight. Crazy! Totally crazy and I mentioned this in my subject but... This guy is such a badass and like He deserves so much credit And basically he's being asked by the judge at one point like If you had to choose between living under these lines yourself knowing what you know or letting somebody else live under it What would you choose and i think the judge is trying to like can also get gotcha thing and he says im gonna go there with my family because i know how to mitigate the effects. And somebody else doesn't and that's not fair to them right i remember him saying that and uh,

27:25 Yeah it's a noble thing to say but the insight there is that there is something that can be done if people are listening to this and they happen to live under power lines well they're not gonna be able to move maybe for years they have to plan up to make some kind of move what can a person do if they find out their office or whatever they're just in a situation where they have forced exposure kinda against their will how How do you mitigate such a thing cuz it seems so like it's either like a light switch on or off what can you do yeah and unfortunately with magnetic fields in particular. You can't really block them because,

28:04 Like I said, these really long wavelengths. 60 hertz versus our cell phones which are thousands and thousands of millimeter waves like 60 thousand or something up to 30 thousand maybe and the smaller ones you can block them. You can do a Faraday cage and that will just block most of the frequencies from coming through so with a magnetic field you're gonna have to focus more on your individual health resilience in other ways And so that's where a lot of like this stuff you mentioned, Dr. Cruz like the sun exposure the morning light exposure red light therapy keeping it dark at night and then there's circadian practices with your diet, you know? I like things like molecular hydrogen and other kind of supplemental stuff that can really help clean up those radical oxygen species but you want to be careful because

28:59 The idea is that antioxidants will clean up radical oxygen species. But the thing with radical oxygen species is that it's information, It's not just something that's bad. It sends a signal that your body uses to understand how different cellular processes are working and when it gets high enough, it kicks in certain cleanup processes and you know we don't need to get into all of that so You don't want to just go max on vitamin C or something, but something like molecular hydrogen is more of a selective antioxidant and it's going to clean up the most harmful ones while letting the more normal signaling ones do their thing. Like red light therapy is interesting because it really mimics what we get from the sun which were not getting because were inside with our lights on and whatever you know so

CHAPTER 07 / 19 Discussion

Cold War Microwave Research, Moscow Signal and US Embassy Sickness

During the Cold War, the Soviet Union beamed low-power microwaves at the US Embassy in Moscow for over two decades, an event known as the Moscow Signal. This exposure was linked to "microwave sickness," resulting in elevated cancer rates and the death of Ambassador Walter Stossel from leukemia. Despite internal warnings, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger reportedly suppressed the information to avoid diplomatic embarrassment and maintain the "thermal-only" safety dogma.

moscow signal· walter stossel· henry kissinger· project pandora· non-ionizing radiation· microwaves

29:48 Those are the kind of things that I would be focusing on. But you know, this is not medical bias and if somebody does live under such a thing, look for someone like me or other biophysics based health coaches who can help you on an individual level because everybody's got their own individual needs Right fair enough so there is a deeper history to that you write about going back to the cold war when the u.s and soviet union turned electromagnetic research into a battleground to use your words what is that story because of the graphics show are pretty eye opening that two different empires went two different ways, and it has huge effects huge facts at i think its religion cuz

30:32 I think it's almost just chance is that the Soviet scientists in the post-war era kind of stumble upon some immune related effects from the lower level electromagnetic energy. And their research even states that is not the level of power so much as the frequency itself, And I mentioned with Paul Haro earlier, same idea. It's not so much the absolute power it's like the disturbing of the status quo with these novel frequencies. So in United States though we hadn't come across that research and to the extent that we believe what is called non-ionizing radiation because unlike an x-ray is not actually damaging your tissues directly.

31:23 So the extent that we understood that it harmed at all is because these radar operators were actually burning themselves and getting cataracts and stuff, because they're just directly exposed to it. And so there was a scientist who figured out a threshold after which the risk of those sort of acute effects became too high and it wasn't worth dealing with especially like long-term day-to-day exposure different standards for like if it's short exposure So we kinda locked in that as a standard for exposure to this stuff. And of course the Russians were aware of that because, you know it's public information and so they created this microwave emitter I remember exactly how many

32:09 Miller heard her to whatever it is but it's somewhere in the range of our you know that the higher 4G 5G. Fields we use for a phone and they just pointed at the embassy the US Embassy in Moscow and yes didn't even knows happening for I think decades perhaps yeah Let me read this because i have this exact paragraph is so compelling to me you say the divergence between the u.s and soviet union exploded in nineteen seventy six when us intelligence discovered the moscow signal, soviets beaming low power microwaves at the US embassy for twenty three years intended as jamming or harassment it sparked microwave sickness reports fatigue vision issues elevated cancers among staff

32:55 Ambassador Walter Stossel developed leukemia and died in 1986. Three ambassadors total succumbed to cancers linked to the exposure Secretary Henry Kissinger briefed in 1975 squashed hazard pay for all embassy workers to avoid embarrassment despite internal memos calling it a health hazard. The incident fueled US secrecy Project Pandora but reinforced the thermal only dogma dismissing Soviet non-thermal data as propaganda even as declassified studies later showed leukemia clusters 2 to 3x

33:34 expected rates. So yeah, I thought that was super wild. You keep it you use the term heat or nothing that the U S kind of had this paradigm of it either creates heat or if it doesn't create heat then there can't be anything that it does and the Soviets knew that there's a lot you can do even when you're not producing heat and they seem to have blasted the us embassy for half of my lifetime and it It had big effects. Yeah, and they specifically used a power level that was much lower than the heat threshold like thousands of times lower than the US heat threshold just so the U S thought it was some sort of like you said jamming device for their radios or something and mean all this meanwhile the Soviets knew what they were doing

CHAPTER 08 / 19 Discussion

Arthur Firstenberg, The Invisible Rainbow and Personal Health Risks

Greg Carlwood and Peter Cowan discuss Arthur Firstenberg’s book, *The Invisible Rainbow*, which documents the history of electricity and health. They reflect on the long-term risks of EMF exposure, noting that while many people feel resilient in the short term, cumulative damage may manifest as cancer or chronic disease later in life.

arthur firstenberg· the invisible rainbow· electro-hypersensitivity· cancer· chronic disease

34:22 Yeah it is so wild and very concerning i don't know if you've read arthur firstenberg the electric rainbow are the invisible rainbow, but man that is a book that just hits you i actually only read the first half because it hits you with so many stories like. Data after data after day to very dense i was just like yeah i get it man point proven and put it down, that is a beautiful book and do highly recommend that's everybody but i would say i follow the work of person for many years and he was electric sensitive so. He got that perspective this is a threat like it was like literally a threat to his body. Most of us are more resilient than that, and so I would read that book and be like okay this is important and this is something we're not taking seriously at a society level but as an individual most of us can take care ourselves and not succumbed to that sort of level of illness

35:18 Yeah it's really tough to know i mean my dad felt good until he didn't and then a couple weeks later died of cancer and they did scans like hey you got tumors everywhere man your probably not coming out of this hospital. And you was seven years in the seventies but most people get into their eighties so you know how much exposure seems like he had a whole lot sitting in front of the computer as an account his whole life but, Just because you feel okay doesn't mean it's not taking years off your life and that's the kind of thing that concerns me when you get to those upper. Age is u wanna feel good potentially spend time with grandkids that might exist or something you don't know what the end your life gonna be like so the damage you do in early to midlife

36:04 Man, it's not a free lunch. It's not a free ride." It is true and I don't want people to get caught up in the fear cycle is basically where I'm coming from. Guilty? Yeah! It's just...I think fear is maybe one of the most harmful substances if we can call that you know and yes you can be empowered to do things and get yourself out exposure if you can too Absolutely it's true i tend to get a little paranoid specially with young kids and dislike you can't control the signals there everywhere, no what my kids of their first school shared a wall with the veterinarians office which everyday i'm looking at that like what kind of fucking signal going off in this school all day. And is just feel so powerless so i mean the phrase ignorance is bliss exist for a reason because

CHAPTER 09 / 19 Discussion

49ers Substation Expansion, Data Centers and Silicon Valley Infrastructure

Addressing critics, Cowan points out that while the 49ers have practiced at the same site since 1988, the substation underwent a massive 2,000% capacity expansion in 2014. This upgrade was driven by the energy demands of Levi's Stadium and the growing density of data centers in Santa Clara. The facility is now one of the largest regional transmission hubs in the system.

tristan scott· santa clara· silicon valley· data centers· levi's stadium· capacity

36:52 the more you know the scarier things sometimes become but to get back to the forty niner story what are some of the big criticisms that u r hearing this theory overall do any of them have a point anything what's the pushback been. I think they do and also they also miss read me in a way so i was like no it's shannon hands training methods or is the turf or its We talked about the injuries, like people saying you got the injury stats wrong. I think we're talking comparing apples and oranges but that's a common one. Other people will mention steroid use, Cipro which is an antibiotic that apparently gets used a lot in sports because of the MRSA infections that go around but maybe for other reasons too it's anti-inflammatory so there are couple other things

37:47 I think because i was writing this article kind of to scratch an itch and like, I was starting my sub sack. And I had no subscribers with me make a flashy and like maybe we'll get like 30 subscribers and that will be exciting. Like that was my high level. And maybe I'll get like 10 to 30000 views on x. And so I wanted to write something that was just kind of like A little bit provocative and really wanted to emphasize that substation because that was kind of a meme at that point. It was starting to become a meme, so I'm like, I'm going to focus on that because that's what people are thinking about." So you know, I think it's never one thing. There is lot of things and... You read all my series here is something just kinda give some context about how discourse works in social media. So I got over 22 million views on the first tweet in my thread. Second tweet not even 1 million views

38:40 So that's a huge drop off. Then the first essay in my subset series got 80,000 views I haven't checked recently but that's what it was The third one which was the last one that went into the mechanisms 7 or 8 thousand views so you have 22 million people thinking they know something about what i've said about this story when in fact only eight thousand people know everything I had to say about this story Yeah it's a little wild and of it seems like with that first one the algorithm hadn't caught up to suppressing suppressing you yet, Because obviously tech companies all of them have a huge interest in saying electronic technology is harmless. Don't worry about it ever the more the better Yeah, I wanted to quote this so you do mention in your article some of this pushback and you say perhaps one of the most common complaints about my 49ers EMF injury hypothesis Is that the 49ers have practiced at the current facility since 1988? This is true

39:41 But then you shared a tweet from Tristan Scott, where he says in 2014 the year that the 49ers injuries began is the same year. The substation went from a small local plant to a full regional transmission hub increasing 2000% incapacity and now we're right back to it sounding like there's something to it. Yeah. And I thank Tristan so much for doing that post because I had been working on a follow up to explain that part and i got swamped he just came in and it was like that really helped with that are the story.

40:18 Right away and i've documented completely on my sub sack how it went from this teeny little substation that was honestly across the parking lot and nowhere near the facility to this massive substation that was. Create a not only two power the stadium but santa clara is no harder so can valley they're building capacity for data centers so its the biggest Substation in their system yeah and so this is a very extreme example them play near the stain hundred yards away from this thing as often as they do. But that's fine because we have all across this country power stations next to schools and hospitals are emf soup send

CHAPTER 10 / 19 Discussion

Firefighter Cell Tower Study, Brain Anomalies and SB 649

A 2004 study of California firefighters revealed brain anomalies, cognitive impairment, and sleep disturbances following the installation of cell towers on fire stations. Despite these health findings, the Telecommunications Act of 1996 prevents local governments from considering health effects when siting towers. Firefighters in California successfully fought for exemptions from certain 5G deployment bills due to these documented risks.

firefighters· cell towers· rf radiation· spect scan· telecommunications act of 1996· susan foster

41:03 You know it's just good that maybe it takes an extreme example in arena that people actually give a shit about the nfl where we actually start to ask some of these questions another thing i seen recently this is just. A tangent really but i've been seeing people making compilations of athletes with wired earbuds, that with all the millions of dollars they have and all the resources they have you think they'd have the latest air pods or the best beats by dry wireless stuff. And i haven't seen anybody say anything but the insinuation is that these athletes know something about,

41:40 Bluetooth and for that reason they deal with the hassle of your ten dollar gas station wired headphones because they don't want those wireless earbuds just an interesting thing it's interesting like how much is not sad i think that's a really good point on, add to that thing you know people's criticism about my argument as actually in the third installment i have a whole section on house or katie and rhythm disruption and light. is a huge factor in the collagen degradation. In fact, I think it's the most important factor and that the EMF is kind of just like the straw that broke the camel's back for the 49ers but these tendon issues are happening across all sports It's not just the 49ers And so I think it's really like a larger issue of we are living in an unhealthy light environment and the athletes

42:31 Because they're at the extreme end of human performance are showing these acute signs of it. Whereas the rest of us, it's showing up in more longer term chronic disease, diabetes, heart disease, etc., etc.. You don't make that connection yet Yes, yes. And I wanted to make sure this fit into the first hour because it just blew my mind but yes coming through your Twitter feed I saw this comment where somebody says or I live all the fire houses got towers installed. I imagine they got a hefty check for it. I think it's terrible It would make a really good research opportunity. I've asked a couple of firefighters about it and they look at me like I'm crazy lol

43:11 And you replied with an article, the firefighters wake up call to all of us by Susan Foster about the policy of letting these power companies kind of put up these towers wherever they want. Apparently they do use fire stations quite often I've got a read this it's a little long but wow She says, the industry-friendly California legislator may claim they know nothing about the health concerns but in fact they do. The legislature granted an exemption from SB 649 to the firefighters who have fought cell towers on their stations in court and in their cities for almost 20 years throughout California firefighters have long complained of often debilitating symptoms from cell phone towers on their stations

43:56 Cities frequently rent out space on fire stations to add to city revenue. Firefighters live and sleep in the stations when on duty, and have experienced significant RF radiation exposure. A 2004 SPECT brain scan study on firefighters in central California found brain anomalies and all the men tested as well as delayed reaction time, lack of impulse control and cognitive impairment. None of the men worked hazmat so chemical exposure was ruled out all the firefighters tested had suffered from sleep disturbances headaches, lack of focus and memory loss following installation of a tower adjacent to their station five years earlier. They sued the wireless company that told them the towers were perfectly harmless but section 704 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 does not allow health to be taken into consideration when sitting in a tower so the judge dismissed the lawsuit

44:54 Damn, I mean if the 49ers is an extreme example this is a little less extreme because they have a tower in their station and The effects seem pretty damn serious and they all are affected in this case i got a colleague up here. Shane riley he's on i think it's twitter is optimal dwelling or somebody heat he's an ex firefighter, who became any mf mitigator because he was second by the conditions of the fire station now terrible electromagnetic radiation sickness i think as well we call that n You got studies and like other countries where they'll take a tower off of the apartment building and just. All peoples insomnia air ability rainfall goes away you know i'm yeah and another thing that wanted to fit in this first hour is that i read the breakdown of your own health journey were you say that you're pretty much the poster child for tech abuse right there with you on that as no way child tv was my best friend and.

CHAPTER 11 / 19 Discussion

Peter Cowan, Silicon Valley Upbringing and Health Recovery Journey

Peter Cowan shares his personal history of "tech abuse" growing up in Silicon Valley, which led to severe health issues including depression, chronic fatigue, and gastrointestinal problems. He attributes his decline to a combination of mitochondrial toxins like tetracycline, a reversed sleep schedule from late-night hacking, and heavy radiation exposure while working at a wireless networking company. He eventually recovered by prioritizing sun exposure, grounding, and removing himself from high-EMF environments.

silicon valley· tetracycline· hacking· circadian disruption· mono· wireless routers

45:55 You also though, go on to say that in your case damage from conventional medicine plays a role too. And I do enjoy stories of people who fall into the wounded healer archetype you know, you fixed yourself and then become a fixer. You go forth and share what you've learned talk a little bit about your own kind of health journey and how you finally figured it out with a lot of the stuff that you are preaching these days. Yeah. How about this? I'll do like a little high level over that and then we can maybe get into it more in the second hour because deals with some personal stuff that i may be. Be careful about sharing sure always got to tease that second hour so good on you yeah, yes so the high-level is like you know i grew up in silicon valley

46:42 in a little town outside of San Jose called Santa Cruz. And my dad had computers when I was five, you know he got like the first IBM or whatever and so I got into computers early and by the time I was a teenager well you mentioned that getting harmed by medical help So when I was 16 I was given tetracycline for some normal teenage acne and they're like stay out of the sun for three months I'm a skateboarder and i can make are you kidding on my stand the sun and so tetra cycling is basically mitochondrial toxin. I discovered later in my life at that point just kinda started slowly just kind of spiraling downward, in some ways i started getting depressed and as a coping mechanism i became less social and more interested in my computer when i got into hacking

47:37 And so i started saying up later and later just work on my computer and made friends with these hackers and rediscover the local university and get on that's my call the sun spark station some was it. Really hit tech company back in the eighties and nineties and they had this massive Really powerful computers are like not even a fraction of the sparkles phones now but at the time that was so we would sneak into university after two am cuz. There be no guards there and go use those computers and i was inverted my sleep schedule And so circadian disruption and it went on for a couple years until i heard my back really bad. And i couldn't work anymore and then it was like i got mono and this is one thing after another into all the sudden like i can't sleep, i'm sleeping up right and just horrible gastrointestinal stuff

48:35 Then I injured my wrists and couldn't type. I couldn't even carry a glass of water with my hand, it was like I'd have to hold the glass of water like this." It was very scary and so I just clung on to whatever I could at that point. So I've stayed in tech not knowing that was the thing that was still harming me. I'm still staying up late at night. So I had another two or three waves of finding stability and then everything falling apart again At a certain point, I had kids and you can't have your health falling apart like that when you have kids. And so now I really got serious that was when I was like 33 about okay my diet and exercising more and trying to go to bed early just over the years it got slightly healthier started working out and then after I got divorced this distress of that year I got kicked down probably lower than ever been at that point being a single parent

49:36 Being not sick i was just thinking to myself i can never let this happen again and i'm gonna figure it out. And so slowly got out of that hole and at one point after working at this wireless company wireless network company where is this like three routers on my desk, add all times and my colleagues had routers in we have these access points use little discs all over the office and video cameras that were Wi-Fi, probably hundreds of units. And massive server infrastructure and then on the wall like maybe 10 feet like that direction was this microwave emitting device that was built to beam microwaves I think up to three miles so you could do a networking infrastructure in places that don't have hardwired fiber and stuff? So that was playing right at me

50:31 We'll get more into that in the second part, but I got very sick and had to quit my job. And wound up just like it was summertime when we went to the beach and just sitting in the sand and in the sun. And then I came home and wasn't working so I would just get up every morning and sit on the grass too tired to do anything else and slowly started getting better and then I realized wait a minute What's really changed and change my diet didn't change not working out not doing anything other than. Not being in front of a computer and not being irradiated by wireless all day outside in nature and getting better. And so that was kind of the turnaround for me yeah i love it i mean

51:19 You say in that piece that you tried everything herbs supplements stress reduction techniques diets and. Who your kind of the end of your rope like so many people are when they finally try the alternatives not even did it intentionally it seems but, no you might have felt better and then investigated why do i feel better find out that there is science and stuff behind it but the simple stuff getting the right amount a sunlight and grounding Working on your gel state structured water in the cell and it actually works after many years of nothing else working i just do find that fascinating this stories are here they keep stacking up. Yeah and i love you mentioned the jail stay a while cuz i'm not use again i think there's some interesting things that have come from that go beyond, does health that i find very exciting alright i love it i love it

CHAPTER 12 / 19 Discussion

Heliotherapy History, Nobel Prize and Clinical Sunlight Use

The conversation reviews the historical use of sunlight in clinical medicine, noting that heliotherapy was a standard treatment for tuberculosis and rickets before the pharmaceutical era. Figures like August Rollier and Florence Nightingale utilized direct sunlight in patient recovery, and Dr. Niels Finsen received the 1903 Nobel Prize for treating lupus with light therapy.

heliotherapy· august rollier· florence nightingale· niels finsen· lupus· tuberculosis

52:13 One of the other things i was gonna bring up is just to run through this because it's on your website and i just think more examples help to stack up too. Validate a premise that people might think is too alternative or two weird and just the importance of sunlight because it is so demonized in our society You have on your company website is place where you say across civilization sunlight play to practical role in maintaining health egyptian healers incorporated light into their temple treatments greek physicians encourage sun exposure to support vitality the anchor organized daily life around the sun's movements i read a recognize sutra as understanding,

52:55 And then you go into heliotherapy and early Western medicine or conventional medicine before pharmaceuticals dominated Western treatment sunlight was used clinically in the early 1900's. August Reuler developed structured sun exposure protocols in Swiss Alpine clinics, helping tuberculosis patients who had exhausted other options. His results spoke for themselves. Florence Nightingale insisted that patient wards receive direct sunlight viewing it as essential at the Battle Creek Sanitarium Dr John Harvey Kellogg applied forms of phototherapy to support people with rickets and 1903 Dr Niles

53:37 Finson received the Nobel Prize for treating lupus with targeted light therapy. So yes, we find this long lineage of people recognizing this reality but it's just never folded into the mainstream paradigm. I guess one other thing i wanted to ask you before we ran out of time was You mentioned a second phase to the 49ers work that you might be embarking on that maybe isn't ready to go fully public but maybe inner circle public Yeah well so...I measured the magnetic fields The really interesting thing with our modern electrical infrastructure is the way that the transformers are structured and everything. You get something called dirty electricity, which is basically you know about dirty electricity if your listeners don't see AC electric as a sine wave but dirty electricity has noise on the sine wave so it's like squiggly lines on the wave itself

CHAPTER 13 / 19 Discussion

Dirty Electricity, 5G Stadium Renovations and Future Investigations

Cowan outlines his future research plans, which include measuring "dirty electricity" and stray current at Levi's Stadium. He notes that the stadium recently underwent a $200 million renovation to install 5G millimeter wave and C-band hotspots. He argues that the combination of high-intensity LED lighting and wireless infrastructure creates an unprecedented environmental stressor for athletes and fans alike.

dirty electricity· sam milham· 5g· levi's stadium· millimeter wave· stray current

54:37 Dirty electricity is very harmful. You can read a book called Dirty Electricity by Dr Sam Millham and it's just phenomenal work, they've done studies on like cows who the transmission lines get grounded near them and all of sudden they're producing like 1 3rd of the milk out maybe even less And then they move the cows and their backs normal production. And so we're basically polluting the earth with Stray current that is not a pure sunlight it's a dirty sign away. And i do think that could be an important factor with what's going on the forty niners and maybe even more important than the magnetic field itself because to the extent of the regular best stuff they regulate the magnetic fields and

55:29 I did get some elevator readings, you know and up to like over 20 in certain places. And actually up to 50 in very specific hotspots. So it's possible that is the high end of facilities but even if its not that stray current could be causing its own harm and that could be bleeding onto the field and so on and so forth. That's another question I have and I'm going to be down there hopefully gonna do some measurements And then just the larger question in general with sports is. So 5G was kind of, in a way, a bust because it's such like small wavelengths that I can't get through buildings and even trees will block it. And so they have been expanding out with these micro cells that they put in neighborhoods and they kinda hide behind things that look like trees and stuff

56:18 But where they're really doing it is in downtown areas and in sports stadiums. And JMA Wireless, because Levi's Stadium is where they're doing a Super Bowl just did a $200 million renovation of Levi's Stadium to put in millimeter wave and C-band hotspots all over the stadium. That's on my to do list because to me like okay that's happening at Levi's Stadium Not only for football for any event there like when taylor swift plays are actually plays everything i mean like nfl once people having great connectivity so they can take videos and watch stuff on the screen and be interactive and change the lighting

57:03 this massive bright LED light. They used to have more of a halogen full spectrum lights, and now it's the 5600 Kelvin which is like bright white daylight because that's what makes their cameras look... So it's all this kind of entertainment thing so I'm going to be writing more about that because I really think this bigger than an NFL It is bigger than the NFL. And because it's caught on in the NFL, that's great and I'm gonna keep that connection but the story is going to keep on going after the Super Bowl because its much bigger than the NFL and its bigger then the magnetic field. Its light, its the millimeter wave, its a straight current and who knows where we'll go beyond that? Yeah well...I definitely look forward to seeing you continue the investigation

CHAPTER 14 / 19 Discussion

Sunlight is Life Software, Vitamin D Calculator and Closing

Peter Cowan describes the software tools he developed for Sunlight is Life, which help users track UV timing, UVB availability for Vitamin D, and sunset schedules. The goal is to provide a "bare minimum protocol" for people to align their lives with natural light cycles without over-analysis. The segment concludes with Cowan providing his website information for further updates on the 49ers investigation.

sunlight is life· vitamin d· uvb· circadian rhythm· peter cowan

57:52 And before we go, we got to save some room to talk about what you've got going on at Sunlight is Life. You make a few software tools for helping people get their light life right? Talk to us about some of those. Yeah, when I started, when I really dialed in the sun stuff, I found it frustrating because like I didn't know when all the different events throughout the day were that were important and so I just wanted a quick place where I could just look and it was all listed and I could just set my phone down because I didn't want to be on my phone all the time thinking about this stuff. So it basically, it tells you like when the sun is when the UV rises, when UVB first appears which is how we get vitamin D and is better for building a tan. It tells you when UVB disappears if your more fair skinned and you want to avoid getting a sunburn and stuff and tells you on the sunset and so on. And more importantly though

58:45 There's a whole page of education about all these things and why they're important. And the timing, and if you don't want to think about all these things in a granular way it'll just give you a really simple schedule that you can follow. So my whole thing is most people are not really interested in getting into the deep down into health mechanisms, they're just like what can I do to make my life simple? So for them it's just there I have called the bare minimum protocol that just tells you the three basic things, just do your best and try to do these things when you can as a start because my feeling is when you get started, you realize how easy it is and you want to do more and it just kind of builds on that but

59:24 Just don't stress three simple things. And then beyond that, there's like a vitamin D calculator and like a compass so you can see where the sun is if you're not home and you want to get up and watch the sunrise and just couple of other things like that just kind of useful tools. Yeah I think that's great because i'm sure a lot of people are like me that I get caught up in analysis paralysis or I need to start working out more so let me do a deep dive into the absolute best workout, bang for the buck I can do. And you're spending a couple of hours when you just get down and do the 30 fucking pushups to start doing something lift a heavy thing walk around. Yeah yeah same with sunlight it's just like well i'm gonna do this but I want to do it perfectly from the first day I do it so let me get all my ducks in a row and it's like no just walk out into the sun. Just go outside and if the sun is too hot going with the shade that couldn't be simpler. Yeah well

1:00:23 Right on any other links to give the good people are promotional stuff i just created a promo page for the first service forty nine or substation dot com and that's where everything if you're interested in stories go there all the time is gonna keep updating as news occurs. I'll put your podcast on their you know cool more players talk about it so Basically, if you Google my name you get Peter Cowan conspiracy theorist which is fine. Been accused of that in other times as well. Yeah this interview is going to help with that I think it'll help like we didn't even go into the moon landing or anything like that but oh man That's a fun one but I just kind of wanted to take control of my exposure on the internet so

1:01:02 Yeah, check out that website and share it with people so they can see who I am for my own words. Solid awesome well you are the man thank you for doing this congrats on all the traction you have gotten i do hope more people consider The role of EMF exposure and just natural sunlight in their life take care out there keep doing what you do! I will thank you Greg It's been great You got it All right all right back in the saddle with another interview and i don't usually jump on trends very much but. This time my kinda went for it because this story popped up and i could tell it was going quite viral and peter did make time for me amongst all these sports and health podcast trying to get attention, add plan for this one actually come out alongside the super bowl

CHAPTER 15 / 19 Discussion

Super Bowl Commentary, AI Surveillance and Ring Camera Ads

Greg Carlwood reflects on the cultural impact of the 49ers story during the Super Bowl. He also critiques a Super Bowl commercial for Ring cameras that promoted AI-controlled network surveillance features. Carlwood suggests that the public's negative reaction to the ad reflects a growing awareness of the "apocalyptic age" of surveillance technology.

super bowl· ring cameras· ai surveillance· halftime show· marketing

1:01:53 Not that I really needed that kind of competition for people listening to my show, but it just got away from me. It just felt topical and now the football thing is so last week What the charles ford presentation took several days longer than i expected since i didn't outsource the editing or anything which is got to change in the future. Either way i thought this was right up our alley for a couple of reasons the main one being that sometimes, for a public health scandal or concern to actually get acknowledged it has to be wrapped up and something else that people care about ding ding sports you know

1:02:33 You'd think they would be looking at high voltage lines over their kids' schools or the big substation across from the local hospital, but no. If you're hurting their favorite sports team though well...they are pissed Sports fans understand though All joking aside that very small advantages or disadvantages can have huge effects so i thought it was awesome just to see this rise to the level of cultural awareness that did. The level of like national conversation at least in the sports world and we talk to people all the time who tend to have a more easy teric or spiritual view of truth almost as if the truth is alive and wants to be known,

1:03:17 And so not only did this story sprout out of the ground in an interesting way, but of all the stadiums that the Super Bowl could have been at it was that this one and i didn't watch the super bowl to see if there was any commentary on it. Given such a large audience that would've been a little interesting seems like most of the discourse was focused on the halftime show stuff in the cultural clash their And there was that one commercial where they promoted the new. AI search function for the ring cameras and everybody was like hey wait a minute here, do we just pay for an install a i controlled network surveillance grids across our entire neighborhoods yeah it seems like you did

1:04:07 And that my qualifies another instance of the truth wanting to be known and not once particularly funny cuz this big. Billion dollar company spends all this money on a super bowl ad for it to go poorly it's like all you had to do, Was neutral but instead your marketing team thought i will reveal this new network surveillance feature by wrapping it up in the idea of a lost dog because americans just love their dogs and then go over so. Great what is one apocalyptic age is all about strap in the big reveal across the board also,

CHAPTER 16 / 19 Discussion

George Kittle, Dead Trees and 49ers Practice Facility Observations

In a viral interview, 49ers player George Kittle discusses the EMF conspiracy theory and mentions that trees near the substation at the practice facility were perpetually dead and leafless. Kittle notes that the NFL recently cut the trees down, removing the visual evidence of the environmental impact. He expresses a desire for the league to conduct legitimate research into whether the substation is harming players.

george kittle· kyle juszczyk· substation· trees· nfl· telecommunications act of 1996

1:04:52 This is on my list let me play this it's an example of how the national conversation was and is happening about emf. Maybe less than the off season again but this has two point two million views its two minutes it's interview with george kittle who clearly seems to have been a player on the forty niners team but here we go, there is in foil hack conspiracy theory careful of a lot listen that The electromagnetic fields. Okay next to the San Francisco 49ers training facility is the reason why there have been so many injuries on the team because it's closing softening muscle tissue some collagen thing that that is the theory right? Yeah, what is your take on this conspiracy? Um Let's see I think one of my teammates put a really good Kyle you check our fullback and he said as professional athlete

1:05:41 You're always trying to get 1% better like is this ice tub? Is this rehab recovery thing is this red light therapy doesn't make me one percent better because then you can stack all those up and hey, you're 3% better than the next guy cuz you're doing all this stuff if something's affect you like Negatively 0.25%. You'd want to know about it Like whether I say this type of cleat is hurting me This type of shoulder pads is I'm not going to risk my life, or increase my risk of getting hurt. You'd probably change that." So all we're saying as players is that we would look into it and make sure its NOT something. That's what I would appreciate. Like hey this isn't going to affect you guys? And then if they come out and do some research like no you guys are good then I don't think we'll think about it.

1:06:20 this is tough, my rookie season there used to be trees in between the electrical substation and our practice facility. And there's a fence there too and above the fence all the trees had no leaves on them year round. That's kind of weird All dead There was a couple bunches of leaves every once in awhile and it was like that No one notices until you point out to people Like I didn't point out to coach Shanahan till like 2021 Yeah Like Yvette pointed out to me at my rookie season I was like thats kinda weird yeah It is what it is But then this year, the NFL came in and cut them all down. So they're not there anymore so no one can see them. So it's only us vets that know that was the truth. I don't think anyone talked about that yet but that one messed me up. I was like oh my goodness! There are no leaves on these trees why? We're feeding the TikTok conspiracy theorists. No, I would say is my argument for it is this like Fred Warner he practices their and trains here year round and he said won injuries entire career. Now did he just evolve and you absorb the radiation? I don't know

1:07:18 I'm kidding. I'm kidding. It's just like, let's just figure out if it's actually harming the players or not and hopefully its not. Right? 100%. Yeah! I like it. I'll take the win. I'll take at least cracking the door open on the curiosity around EMF since it is so ubiquitous and that goddamn telecommunications act of 1996 you really fucked us there Bill what are you gonna do So yeah this particular episode was more about covering an instance of one of our core topics of concern, penetrating mainstream culture and just how it was handled how the term conspiracy theory was used to turn people off from looking deeper all that sort of stuff.

CHAPTER 17 / 19 Discussion

Plus Show Preview, Synchronicity and The Cowan Surname

Greg Carlwood previews the "Plus" version of the episode, which features Peter Cowan discussing more personal and mystical topics, including synchronicity and the work of Jerald Pollack on fourth-phase water. Carlwood notes the odd coincidence that three prominent guests in the EMF and health space—Dr. Tom Cowan, Alexis Cowen, and Peter Cowan—all share the same surname despite having no relation.

plus show· synchronicity· jerald pollack· tom cowan· alexis cowen· fourth phase water

1:08:02 Now the plus show was kinda weird when we were set to record. Peter message me and said that he checked out a few episodes of THC and it made him feel comfortable to talk about personal stuff that he might have left out otherwise and, That's kinda like the more mystical synchronicity spiritual for stuff that he feels seem to leave him along this work and. Yeah this long story in bang he followed along had this outsized impact of going viral and suddenly being talked about invited all sorts of places do you two following these spiritual talk so that's always interesting not only did it feel like,

1:08:48 We might be a better show to actually talk about that sort of stuff and say the scott mcafee shower some other espn podcast. The fact that the plus show is more private also seem to make him feel more comfortable going there we talked about, the jerald pollack fourth phase water stuff and how he nerded out on that for awhile and improved his health Just all good stuff so this is what the plus show contains in this one more of a detailed example about synchronicity and spiritual guidance kind of works. And when you follow that lead big things seem to happen i know synchronicity can sometimes be very personal and the impact is kinda hard to relate others much like dreams,

1:09:34 But if you struggle with picking up on those subtle messages in your own life, I would hope that hearing other people talk about their tales would be helpful. So peter seems like a good guy happy to have gotten no i'm and also makes me curious that there are now three people with the last name, how and all focused on emf light health in gel state water. Dr tom khan previous guest alexis cowen and now peter cowen so strange. All three no relation as far as i know but i wonder if you looked up the origins of this surname if u get anything resonant with this work Just an odd thing i noticed so in higher side news we had a big gap there for a minute twelve days without anything because i was really working hard on this book of the damned presentation that i had to stop to prepare for interview those on the books.

CHAPTER 18 / 19 Discussion

Charles Fort, Book of the Damned and John Klyzak AI Discussion

Carlwood discusses his recent presentation on Charles Fort's *Book of the Damned*, highlighting Fort's theories on secret societies and the idea that humanity is "property." He also addresses listener feedback on a previous interview with John Klyzak regarding AI in the classroom, defending the importance of the subject despite lower ratings from the audience.

charles fort· book of the damned· john klyzak· ai· secret societies· plagiarism

1:10:24 It's just a lot easier to read a book with the knowledge that you're just gonna be looking for things to ask someone else about the author about. But it's another deal entirely too have to talk about it all yourself and my goal is just make sure i fit in all, the accounts from the book because thats what i think people wanna know about and when u hear the book discussed in charles sports work discuss you really only get Those two or three most popular stories that people tend to bring up over and over again so instead of nine hour audio book or something you can just listen me for ninety minutes and feel like u, no everything interests at the book contains and because it's old i didn't feel like i was doing any damage to sales or anything like that.

1:11:12 Which is something i do have to be careful with there's a fine line between commentary and promotion of a thing versus plagiarism and piracy or something piracy adjacent. We did it probably relate fifty different stories often very short but more about the volume of odd stuff that goes on reported because its inconvenient to the mainstream model, I also wanted to make sure though that we folded in Fort's conspiratorial leanings that don't often get talked about either. Saying not only that we are property but our owners communicate instructions down to secret societies that manage the planet for them? Wild! Anyway, we don't have to go over all of it again It is out there and I hope you checked it out and enjoyed if ya did. Seems well liked so far. Just put it out like 48 hours ago So its a little early to be talking about rating

1:12:07 Seems like i got a four point seven so far from the plus people and good bump in new sign up that i can see already said thanks for that, welcome to the people who finally pulled the trigger get an archive there are hundreds of compelling interviews that are just as compelling today is when they were recorded contrary to today's interview. A lot of the times I try to avoid trends so that we have these timeless discussions around a subject matter that is just as useful to people five years after it was recorded, but... You know, you decide. And as for the last interview that I did... That would be John Klyzak talking about the new level of tech and AI in the classroom Clearly something of great personal interest to me but not plus members favorite It's only sitting at a 4.3 Yikes To me that is on the edge of like C++ B- range and i get it Maybe not alot of new information But I still wanted to give him an attaboy for being so far ahead of the curve on this subject

1:13:10 Hey i hit us like a ton of fucking bricks it's basically the whole internet now. So person like john should get his credit even if its not exactly the most exciting material at this point, i'm just kinda rooting for john he seems like a good guy who does great work but isn't really getting noticed like i think you should and is getting hours cut at work trying to teach kids but While warning about AI, it is also actively replacing him. A lot of factors but we ran it back and I'm glad we did. Okay the meetup calendar here are the upcoming events hosted by other THC fans hopefully near you

CHAPTER 19 / 19 Discussion

THC Meetups, Global Events and Outro

The episode concludes with a list of upcoming listener meetups in locations including Queensland, Los Angeles, San Jose, Auckland, and Amsterdam. Greg Carlwood encourages listeners to "unite the tribes" and attend these events. The show ends with a musical outro and a final call to action regarding EMF health awareness.

meetups· australia· auckland· amsterdam· san jose· st. paul

1:13:52 Alright saturday february twenty first the backbone bar and to gun gold coast queensland australia in february twenty second la at the trails cafe. March seven san jose california rose accretion park meet and greet march nine feed north coat tavern me up and north coat point auckland new zealand, March fourteen can i new hampshire nudists at poor house barbecue i mean that's what im talking about a nice big slab of ribs eating with your hands naked as hell the bunches strangers. Why not get in there and then we have march fifteenth saint paul minnesota be careful out their meet up at black stack brewing,

1:14:40 March 19th the wraps galley and report is how this one is title general manager and bartender are truth seekers in loyalty fans first pint on the house although there is no location here. Hopefully that can get corrected in time and then friday april 10 we have a couple of rooms to premium members passing through amsterdam looking to make a thc mashup event i love to see it Got unite the tribes get out there you know rune soup and higher side chats go together like scrambled eggs and hot sauce which is to say, exotic choice a little spicy not for everyone but if your ass can be it's a good combo.

1:15:24 And I think i stumbled into an okay analogy right there and I should get out on that note. Thanks for listening kudos to Peter for bringing attention to the EMF issue getting it on the general cultural radar, we should have been asking questions a long time ago but here we are take care of you in yours I've done my part your move emf health effect hiders tight tendon theory deniers and defenders of the coming big old lawsuit your fucking Do you feel betrayed by the ones you're told to trust? Well, you know you don't get much help from the ones that beat you up Like a dog that don't obey We're just left to lick the... They say it will be okay or at least be over And the cycle continues we don't seem to care For those who come after repair Bread and circuses really is an awful trade

1:16:34 But what are you gonna do? It's parents We see the crash is coming, why won't? Apathetic to the next collision Haven't even had the time to heal So the cycle continues You don't make the space Once they come after Much love lost in this place They don't change their ways at the top so we gotta change ours Make all a new up and tell the story I just wanna be comfortable, i guess Easier to believe the lie The cycle continues Cause it's all about And the ones that come after Can try and get them We always have the numbers we never have the drive Sometimes have a mindset right Really tempted to thrive Way patient to hunt Hard to truly go So again

1:18:07 And the cycle continues We don't even dis for the ones who come after Cause no one did it cause ignorance and blind can learn from our mistakes
