Spiritualist Church, American Occult Roots
The conversation explores the history of the Spiritualist Church in America, beginning with the Fox sisters in New York. Alon Nu discusses the "patriotic" nature of occultism, noting that founding fathers like Washington and Franklin studied astrology and alchemy. He defends the Spiritualist Church against claims of scam artistry, suggesting that sincere practitioners are attempting to tap into a genuine connection with the spirits of the dead.
