Lieutenant Commander Edward C. Lin as the Suspected Leaker
Lieutenant Commander Edward C. Lin is identified as the primary suspect for leaking the MH370 footage. Lin, a Navy officer with top-secret clearance and experience in signals intelligence (SIGINT), was charged with disseminating secret information in a heavily redacted 2014 case. His defense lawyer noted that the classified information in question was already available on the internet, and Lin was found with flight manifests containing search and rescue code names from 2014.
