FirstNet and the Privatization of First Responder Networks
FirstNet, a nationwide communication network for first responders conceived after 9/11, has been effectively turned over to AT&T through a $7 billion contract. This merger of corporate and government interests raises concerns about creating a monopoly that is "too vital to fail."
