Steven Snider AKA Recluse | A Stanley Kubrick Odyssey: Film Symbolism, & Hollywood Scandal
Paul Prevailer, Double Indemnity and Murder Convictions
Snyder reveals the shocking history of Stanley Kubrick’s cousin, Paul Prevailer, a former LAPD officer who became a murderer. In a real-life "Double Indemnity" scenario, Prevailer conspired with his mistress to kill her husband and later murdered his own wife for insurance money. Prevailer was arrested in 1968, right as Kubrick was returning to the United States for the premiere of "2001: A Space Odyssey."
