Topic: Dildos

Dr. Hillman describes the use of expensive pharmacological oils and "alabaster" dildos in ancient mystery rites, suggesting that Mary Magdalene's "expensive ointment" was a drug-delivery vehicle. He redefines "baptism" not as a religious sprinkling of water, but as a medical and ritual process of "dyeing" or transformation. Evidence for these practices is cited in the murals of Pompeii, which depict initiates undergoing ritual beatings and drug-induced states.
