Dr. Raymond Moody | Near Death Experience, Nonsense Logic, & Storming The Afterlife
Evolution of Near-Death Experience Perceptions Since the 1960s
Dr. Raymond Moody reflects on his 50-year career, noting how NDEs transitioned from a novelty in the early 1970s to a recognized part of global civilization. He recounts his early academic exposure to the subject at the University of Virginia in 1962 through Plato’s Republic and the teachings of Professor Hammond. Moody also describes the profound impact of meeting Dr. George Ritchie, a psychiatry professor whose personal account of a near-death experience validated the phenomenon for him.
