Ed Haslam | Dr. Mary’s Monkey, The Polio Vaccine, and Lee Harvey Oswald
Clinton Louisiana Sightings, Clay Shaw and Voter Registration
In late August 1963, Lee Harvey Oswald, Clay Shaw, and David Ferrie were reportedly seen together in Clinton, Louisiana, near the state mental hospital. Their presence was noted by local marshals and residents because it coincided with a CORE voter registration drive. Haslam notes that this sighting provided the crucial link between Oswald and Shaw that District Attorney Jim Garrison later used in his conspiracy trial.
