The Greek references the work of Louis Kervran, who demonstrated biological transmutation in chickens that produced calcium eggs despite a calcium-free diet. He also dismisses the metric of calorie counting, explaining that the laboratory method of burning food in a glass tube does not reflect how the body processes energy. He argues that since waste can still be burned for fuel, the caloric output measured in labs is irrelevant to human nutrition.
