Topic: Bridalry

Gary Fraun reinterprets the marriage ceremony as a "breeding ceremony" rooted in animal husbandry. He breaks down the etymology of wedding terms, linking "groom" to horse handlers, "bridalry" to the bridle used on horses, and "nightmare" to an uncontrollable mare. He asserts that these linguistic origins reveal a system where women are viewed as property or livestock within the legal and religious framework.
