Fairy Blasts, Morgellons Disease, and Alien Implants
Joshua Kutchin identifies the "fairy blast" as a historical antecedent to modern reports of alien implants. Victims of these blasts would develop boils or blisters containing foreign objects like stone, bone, or string. This historical description closely matches modern accounts of Morgellons disease, which some in the UFO community believe is a side effect of extraterrestrial abduction.
