Jesse Marcel, Reopening the Roswell Case
Stanton Friedman recounts how he rediscovered the Roswell incident in 1978 after a chance meeting at a television station in Baton Rouge. He was directed to Jesse Marcel, the intelligence officer for the 509th Bomb Group, the elite unit responsible for dropping the atomic bombs on Japan. Marcel confirmed to Friedman that he had handled wreckage from a crashed saucer in 1947 that was not of conventional origin.
