THC 113: Philip Farber | Understanding Invocation & Evocation Magick
Trans-derivational Search, Reality Delineation and Schizophrenia
Farber describes "trans-derivational search," the process by which the brain sorts through associations to define reality. He explains that magic rituals provide frames to guide this unconscious sorting process. The discussion touches on schizophrenia as a failure of the default mode network to switch off correctly, and concludes with the idea that every thought and action creates a "ripple" that changes the world through interconnectedness.
