Valerie Solanas Assassination Attempt and the SCUM Manifesto
Sean Peter describes how his research into feminism led him to Valerie Solanas, the woman who attempted to assassinate Andy Warhol in 1968. Solanas was the founder of the Society for the Cutting Up of Men (SCUM) and a radical feminist who viewed men as obsolete. The official narrative suggests she shot Warhol because his team lost a play she had written titled "Up Your Ass," but the investigation suggests deeper motivations.
