Topic: Pol Pot

Lee Dundas describes police and prosecutors in Thailand as deeply corrupt, with officers taking bribes and moonlighting for brothels. She argues that poverty and communist collapse created the conditions for trafficking, then cites name-and-shame campaigns in St. Petersburg and Orange County as effective pressure tactics.

The conversation turns reflective as Lee Dundas urges gratitude, civic resistance, and practical activism over despair. Greg Carlwood closes by recounting a Cambodian refugee story and voicing skepticism about legal prostitution, while still emphasizing the need to keep trafficking victims in mind.
