Melvin Combs and the Heroin Ring Informant History
The guest details the history of Diddy’s father, Melvin Combs, who was murdered in 1972 following his involvement in a major heroin distribution ring. Citing a 1973 New York Times article, the guest explains that Melvin was identified as a "co-conspirator" rather than a defendant, suggesting he was cooperating with law enforcement before his death. This history is linked to Frank Lucas and the events depicted in the film American Gangster, establishing a generational pattern of illegal activity and federal cooperation.
