THC 88: Duncan Trussell | Fear & Mindfulness In The Internal Universe
Maharaji and the 1000 Microgram LSD Test
In a famous account, Neem Karoli Baba requested to take Alpert's "medicine" and consumed 1,000 micrograms of high-quality LSD with no visible physical or psychological effect. On a subsequent occasion, he took an even larger dose and joked with Alpert about it "driving him mad" before stating that such substances could bring one into the presence of "Christ energy." The segment concludes that psychedelics are a stepping stone rather than the destination of the spiritual path.
