SIM Card Anonymity and Physical Hardware Blocks
To avoid location tracking tied to a legal identity, users can purchase SIM cards like Mint Mobile with cash. Physical tools such as Faraday bags can block all signals when the phone is not in use, while "mic locks" prevent the device from eavesdropping. These measures are increasingly important as governments in places like South Korea and Nigeria tie phone identities to national IDs.
