European Management Symposium and the Club of Rome
Klaus Schwab founded the European Management Symposium, later renamed the World Economic Forum, in 1971 with support from his Harvard mentors. The 1973 meeting featured Aurelio Peccei of the Club of Rome, who presented the "Limits to Growth" report advocating for global depopulation and environmentalism. This period marked the transition of the forum into a hub for technocratic planning and Malthusian social engineering.
