Topic: Joe Rupp

Greg Carlwood introduces a large panel of guests for a special episode focused on self-sufficiency and resisting a digital dystopian future. The group includes Darren Grimes of Grimerica, Joe Rupp of Lighting The Void, Owen Hunt (Bootsy Greenwood), and fitness coach Brandon Powell. They are convening to discuss their upcoming collaborative retreat, Magic & Manifestation in the Mountains, scheduled for February 9th-13th at Mount Shasta.

Joe Rupp outlines the three stages of the Hermetic Mysteries, focusing on the "operation of the moon" which involves understanding the mind and the elements. He explains how he uses focus and trance states to lead participants into a hypnagogic state, where they can experience their "etheric double." He argues that once a person experiences this altered state, their understanding of manifestation shifts from a desire for things to a realization of their own nature.

Joe Rupp shares a humorous story about getting excessively high before a speaking engagement at a previous event. The guests discuss the social atmosphere of the retreats, which includes late-night partying, humor, and the formation of long-term friendships and business partnerships. Darren Grimes explains that they extended the retreats to four nights to allow more "hang out" time for participants to connect without a rushed schedule.

Brandon Powell and Joe Rupp share their contact information and current projects. Powell directs listeners to his website, On Fire, and the official Wim Hof Method instructor page for his upcoming fitness events. Joe Rupp promotes his podcast "Lighting the Void" and his radio network, Fringe FM, which offers a platform for independent creators and DJs to establish their own audiences.
