Jack Parsons, a pioneer of the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL), integrated occult rituals with early American rocketry. A devoted follower of Aleister Crowley, Parsons famously invoked the god Pan before rocket launches to ensure safety. His work in Pasadena was conducted alongside L. Ron Hubbard, and Parsons eventually came to believe that his ritualistic activities had opened a door for the 1947 UFO wave.

Carrie Cassidy explains her methodology for vetting whistleblowers, which includes a combination of intelligence-style triangulation and psychic perception. Drawing on her background at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) and her upbringing near Moffett Field, she looks for three unrelated sources to corroborate a story. She emphasizes the importance of "resonance" and using the emotional body to determine the truthfulness of a witness.
