The Copeland Family, New Wave, Intelligence Acronyms
The emergence of New Wave and post-punk music is linked to the Copeland family, headed by CIA officer Miles Copeland. His sons founded the International Record Syndicate (IRS), a booking agency with initials matching the FBI, and the band The Police. This overt use of intelligence agency acronyms is framed as a "revelation of the method" by the controllers.
