Afro-Caribbean Magic and the Table of Ifa
Afro-Caribbean traditions like Voodoo and Santeria offer a rich, living system of magic that is often overlooked by Western scholars focused on written scriptures. The Yoruba divination system, Ifa, utilizes 256 complex binary figures that must be entirely memorized by practitioners. These 256 figures show a mathematical consistency with the elemental squares of the Enochian tablets, suggesting a universal underlying structure to these magical systems.
