Aristotle Onassis, Howard Hughes Kidnapping and the Gemstone File
The "Gemstone File" by Jim Keith alleges that Aristotle Onassis was a central figure in the kidnapping of billionaire Howard Hughes. According to the theory, Hughes was held prisoner on the island of Scorpios and kept sedated while Onassis usurped his financial empire and defense contracts. This narrative attempts to explain Hughes' sudden transition into a reclusive, eccentric figure in his later years.
