THC 83: James Corbett | Fukushima, The Balance Of Power, & New Alternatives
FOSA 2013, Open Source Journalism and Transparency
James Corbett discusses his presentation at the FOSA 2013 conference in France, where he spoke about applying open-source principles to journalism. Unlike mainstream media, open-source journalism involves providing direct links to source documents and encouraging audience skepticism. Corbett argues that citizens must move from being passive receptacles of information to active participants in verifying the news to shape a better future.
