Topic: Dr Seuss

Dr. Moody discusses the power of nonsense in cultural forms such as Dr. Seuss books, doo-wop music, and religious glossolalia. He argues that combining nonsense syllables with meaningful language creates a psychological power that neither possesses alone. Examples like "Hickory Dickory Dock" and playground rhymes are used to demonstrate how nonsense can evoke vivid mental imagery and ecstatic states.

Dr. Moody promotes his website, lifeafterlife.com, and identifies Making Sense of Nonsense as the book he is proudest of, noting it took 40 years to write. He traces his interest in nonsense back to childhood experiences looking through a telescope and reading Lewis Carroll. He explains that the book offers practical mental reformatting for various professions, including law and advertising.
