Nuclear experts like Arne Gunderson and Timothy Mousseau have documented suppressed data regarding deformities and radioactive cesium reaching the American West Coast. Over half of the 71 sailors on the USS Ronald Reagan who responded to the Fukushima disaster have reportedly contracted cancer, leading to a lawsuit against TEPCO. Scientists warn that the release of ionizing radiation threatens human life in the Northern Hemisphere for thousands of years.

Reports from the Activist Post highlight 28 signs that nuclear radiation from the Fukushima disaster is affecting the North American West Coast. Wildlife issues include polar bears and seals in Alaska suffering from fur loss and open sores, alongside an epidemic of sea lion deaths in California. Researchers have also detected high levels of Cesium-137 in Pacific Ocean plankton between Hawaii and the mainland.
