Topic: Blotter

Host Greg Carlwood introduces author and scholar Eric Davis, highlighting his work on the crossroads of alternative religion, media, and the cultural history of California. Davis is the author of "Technosis" and "High Weirdness," and his latest book, "Blotter: The Untold Story of an Acid Medium," explores the art and design of LSD tabs. The introduction notes that Davis conducted the final interview with Terrence McKenna.

Davis discusses the importance of recovering the "juice and meat" of the 1960s counterculture as a legitimate Western lineage and tradition. His book "Blotter" focuses on the anonymous artists and printers within the acid trade, exploring their values and relationship to the medium. He invites listeners to follow his current writing on his Substack, "Burning Shore," which covers psychedelics and various cultural topics.
