Lupa Greenwolf | Animal Magic, Neo-Paganism, & Connecting With Totems
African Gray Parrot, Mammalian Bias in Consciousness
Lupa Greenwolf recounts her experience caretaking an African gray parrot to illustrate the importance of recognizing non-mammalian consciousness. While she consulted a parrot totem to open her mindset, she emphasizes that practical knowledge from behavior specialists was more valuable than "animal communication" claims. The anecdote serves to highlight the limitations of psychic insights compared to direct observation and expert study.
