Ursa Major and the Origin of the Number Seven
The shape of the number seven is theorized to originate from the constellation Ursa Major, which was used in ancient Egyptian afterlife rituals via the Adz tool. Garza argues that the seven stars of enlightenment were originally the circumpolar stars before being transferred to the seven wandering planets. This section also discusses how the 12-sign zodiac evolved from an earlier 8-constellation polar sky clock.
