CIA and KGB, 1972 Olympic Basketball Fix
Brian Tuohy recounts a tip from a purported former CIA agent regarding the 1972 Olympic gold medal basketball game between the US and the Soviet Union. The source claimed the KGB kidnapped a referee's family to ensure a Soviet victory. Tuohy notes that his FOIA request to the CIA resulted in a "Glomar response," neither confirming nor denying the existence of such records.
