About this episode

Maureen Healy joins the program to detail the rise of Indigo children and the global shift toward intuitive intelligence. Healy, author of The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids, explains how these highly sensitive individuals possess a specific warrior energy designed to dismantle failing societal systems. The conversation highlights the origins of the Indigo label via Nancy Tate and the metaphysical connection to the third eye chakra.

Beyond child psychology, the report covers TEPCO’s high-risk operation to remove 1,300 fuel rods from Fukushima Reactor 4, a move Paul Gunter warns could release radiation equivalent to 14,000 Hiroshima bombs. Additional updates include the exposure of the This Man viral hoax by Andrea Natella and a police discovery of a voodoo temple in Lakewood, Colorado, containing human remains and ritualistic scepters. Healy also shares a case study of a four-year-old boy recalling specific details of a past life, suggesting consciousness exists independently of the physical body.

Maureen Healy describes her time working with Tibetan refugee children and the universal resilience found in the Himalayas. The segment concludes with a look at how laughter serves as a biological tool for wisdom, mirroring the joy maintained by the Dalai Lama. Greg Carlwood also announces the Higher Side Money Bomb giveaway details for the upcoming eighty-fifth episode.

00:04 In the 1930s, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt addressed a nation through a series of radio broadcast known as the Fireside Chats. His aim was to reassure the common man that our society would recover from its troubled times but we're far from 1930 and I deal with a different kind of fire For a new era of worldly frustration We offer a fresh conversation! I'm Greg Carlwood These are the Higher Side Sheds. Well, just a quick update on the THC Money Bomb before we get going. As you've heard I'm giving away half of the donations by episode 85 to one of you guys and so far this is turning out great! I've gotten donations from $5 up to 100 fucking dollars and i can say that ill be giving away at least 150 which is the halfway point right now

01:05 way better than I would have thought from the first round and it seems like at this point people have about a 1 in 30 chance, and of course that's going to change but i can't think of anywhere with better odds if that's your kind of thing. And you know the money is gonna go to show you like and someone who has the same struggle as you so if you want all the details just go to the higher side chats dot com slash donate and all the info there including how to be in the running without making a donation if you're unable to do so what that said I'm gonna throw little conspiracies action at you and go over our higher education for the week, and then we'll be talking to Maureen Healy about Indigo Children on the other side. We're here because we don't buy into the bullshit of mainstream culture. We're tired of the mundane passionless careers we've been shuffled into as a result of this orchestrated debt-based system of rule And the stranglehold on education entertainment by cold soulless corporations People yes, we are frustrated Yes, we are tired

This Man Hoax, Andrea Natella and Viral Marketing

Rob Davin reports on the "This Man" phenomenon, a website claiming thousands of people worldwide have dreamed of the same mysterious face. Investigation reveals the site is a creation of sociologist and marketer Andrea Natella of the company Guerrilla Marketing. The project is identified as a subversive hoax and an experiment in viral media and the power of suggestion.

this man· andrea natella· guerrilla marketing· dream hoax· viral media

02:59 This week we've got another interesting one why are thousands of people dreaming of this man. Have you had a dream about this man confronting or befriending you over the past five years then your one of thousands of people across the world who have dreamed of this man according to the this man website set up to bring together people who have dreamed about him they go on and list a bunch of different occurrences of them having sex or him coming in helping them with the problem in their dreams. And it sounds kinda weird but it is fact turns out that this theory is the closest to the truth

03:41 This website is actually the creation of a sociologist and marketer named Andrea netella he runs a company called gorilla marketing which stages subversive hoax, increase weird art projects that are mostly about pornography politics and advertising so once again viral media yeah that's messed up either all the stories are fake or. power of suggestion is causing people to be like, oh yeah that guy was in my dream. I think that's what it is the power of suggestion and it seems to me a lot of these stories are just people that are easily led astray. I hate that about people you're really fucking things up for the alien abductees out there or the people who really did fuck that weird police sketch of a man and their dreams either your fucked a man or didn't people don't bullshit a bullshitter Rob what else she got?

Colorado Voodoo Temple, Human Bones and Occult Discovery

Police in Lakewood, Colorado, discovered a suspected voodoo temple in a tool shed behind a home on Cline Street. A cleaning crew preparing the property for sale found human bones, a skull mask, a machete, and various animal remains. Authorities believe the site was used for occult worship involving ritualistic items like iron pots and scepters.

04:32 Alright, Nightmare on Klein Street. Human bones found along with skull masks as a voodoo temple is uncovered in a tool shed behind a Colorado home. Human bones have been uncovered along with numerous bizarre and unusual items at what police believe once was a voodoo temple that was used to worship the occult The shocking discovery made last thursday in and around the tool shed of the back of a home at 1250 cline street in lakewood colorado which was being prepared to be sold.

05:08 A cleaning crew hired by local real estate agent uncovered numerous items while clearing out the shed including a machete, skeleton mask, wig of brown hair candles bottles an iron pot, scepter made from antler and bulls horns and various animal bones. So remember kids, there really is a Luciferian death cult behind every corner. Ain't no party like a voodoo party! And then finally, a fuel removal from Fukushima reactor that threatens an apocalyptic scenario An operation with potentially apocalyptic consequences is expected to begin in little over two weeks from now

CHAPTER 04 / 25 Discussion

Fukushima Reactor 4, TEPCO Fuel Rod Removal Risks

Plant operator TEPCO is scheduled to begin a high-risk operation to remove 1,300 spent fuel rods from the damaged Fukushima Reactor 4. Scientists, including Paul Gunter, warn that the sinking building is vulnerable to seismic events which could trigger a massive atmospheric release of radiation. The rods contain a radiation equivalent to 14,000 Hiroshima bombs.

fukushima· tepco· reactor 4· fuel rods· radiation

05:53 as early as November 8th at Fukushima's damaged and sinking reactor number 4. Plant operator TEPCO will attempt to remove over 1,300 spent fuel rods holding the radiation equivalent of 14,000 Hiroshima bombs While reactor 4, the building itself did not suffer a meltdown it did suffer a hydrogen explosion and it is now tipping and sinking and has zero ability to withstand another seismic event. Now here's a quote from Paul Gunter MD who was one of the scientists examining what's going on here

06:31 Time is of the essence as we remain concerned about another earthquake that could topple the damaged reactor building and the nuclear waste storage pond in its attic." He continued, "...this could literally reignite the nuclear accident in an open atmosphere and inflame it into hemispheric proportions..." So you know Fukushima were set in what two years on? And... It's still not even begun to be dealt with. It's a beautiful world, isn't it Rob? Well you know what's the third arm or third eye growing out of ya I mean come on love the radiation. Yeah right it's just the creativity of the universe manifesting in this new age for awakening Exactly exactly Earth wanted plastic so it made plastic Right on well hey thanks again Rob we will see you next week Alright man thanks for having me

07:25 Alright, well that was Rob Davin my main man from darkspace.tv you can check out all the things he's putting out over there and we'll see him with more higher education next week Alright people, I'm pretty psyched about today's show because there is this idea that people are changing. This idea that there is some type of awakening going on Something prophesized in the stars Knowledge held sacred by a shadowy cabal of dark elites In fact it may be their very motivation for ramping up the global takeover and crackdown on human consciousness People, I don't know but it's a popular thread on the conspiracy sweater and if it is true we should be able to find some sort of evidence of this so let's see how this thing unraveles. So what's the deal? Are people being born today more energetically sensitive do they resonate at higher frequency? I think its an idea worth exploring so I got the expert. Maureen Healy has been a leading voice for children worldwide in 2007 she lived at The

CHAPTER 05 / 25 Discussion

Indigo Children, Maureen Healy on High Sensitivity and Intensity

Maureen Healy, author of The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids, defines the term as a category of highly sensitive and intense children. She suggests these children represent a global awakening and possess a "fierceness" intended to break down failing societal systems. Healy notes that while they share traits with other sensitive groups, Indigos have a specific drive for fairness and equality.

maureen healy· indigo kids· sensitivity· intensity· global awakening

08:22 base of the Himalayas working with the Tibetan refugee children and she studied with His Holiness himself, the 14th Dalai Lama. She's written two books as well entitled Growing Happy Kids and her newest book The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids. Maureen welcome to the show how are you? I'm great thanks for having me It is absolutely my pleasure. When I first heard about Indigo Kids, I had heard that they were this new type of person being born, that they were more enlightened and energetically sensitive, that they had a connected global mindset... just a whole host of attributes were thrown out there. And if it's true it could be evidence for this global awakening but I never really dug into it too much so when NewPage sent me your book I thought yeah maybe its worth taking a deeper look at the idea

09:07 But for people who might not be familiar with the term indigo kids, and just to clarify what they are. Can you give people your take on them? Sure! You know there's a big umbrella and under that umbrella there would be sensitive children all different types of sensitive kids including Asperger's and autism, all different types of sensitive kids. But indigo kids have a high level of sensitivity and they also have a high level intensity which would be like angry type energy. And I don't want to say they're angry but they had like a fierceness to them so they hold what seem to be opposing qualities that they have that in that high sensitivity, they have that fierceness and they also have similar mindset

CHAPTER 06 / 25 Discussion

Indigo Aura Origins, Nancy Tate and Intuitive Intelligence

The term "Indigo" originated in the 1970s with metaphysician Nancy Tate, who observed an indigo-colored aura around certain children. This color is associated with the third eye chakra, signifying that these children operate primarily through intuitive intelligence. Healy describes these children as being naturally prone to energy healing and psychic abilities.

nancy tate· indigo aura· third eye· intuition· metaphysics

09:49 So they deeply want things to be fair, they wanna be treated as equals and then there's a whole list of things that they share at the collective. But the reason I zeroed in on indigos is because they have that high level of sensitivity, high level of intuition very gifted in certain areas and also do have that fierceness that can go in a direction that would be considered skillful quickly or can be challenging as well. Yeah it seems really interesting where did the term Indigo Kids come from? It came from a metaphysician in the 70s who is now past. Her name is Nancy Tate and she noticed, she was the first person to notice that the aura around these children tended to be the color indigo and that color is associated with energy center of intuition, the third eye center which is between the eyes and thats where they have this high level their primary intelligence is intuitive although they are intelligent in all sorts of ways there very intuitive

10:46 See, that's really interesting the third eye chakra aspect to it. So they seem to be more psychic I guess? Are they more prone to seeing auras or energy healing and that kind of stuff? They're definitely prone to energy healing and they're definitely very intuitive. All kids are intuitive but some of these kids are just off-the-chart intuitive I recently worked with an indigo kid and he was just born with this gift of energy healing. He naturally knew how to help someone go from feeling pain until feeling ease, he just was able to do it with his hands so he was able to channel energy without any training and also remembered some of his past lives. So they have just the very strong level of intuition

CHAPTER 07 / 25 Discussion

Reincarnation Case Study, Four-Year-Old Recalls Past Life

Maureen Healy shares an anecdote about a four-year-old boy who provided specific details about his mother's grandmother that he could not have known through normal means. The mother verified the details with family members, leading to the belief that the grandmother had reincarnated as her son. This case is presented as evidence of consciousness existing beyond the physical senses.

reincarnation· past lives· intuition· childhood memories· family history

11:27 The past lives thing, I mean i find that really interesting. I hear a lot of people making the case for that and I always love to hear stories of people that do recount some information from some previous life Can you tell me the details? his realization from a past life or his memories? Well, what... yeah. I mean he was telling his mom and saying hey mom don't you remember when we did XYZ and you know he's four years old so there is no reason that he would remember something that this was the woman's grandmother her mother his grandmother that had passed So it appears to be from all the evidence that she reincarnated into her son. And she called everyone in the family after he was giving her all these details and said, hey did you ever have you ever said this? She really did her due diligence to be like how did this child know was it a dream? Was it and he was just giving so many details and real information there was just no other way

12:26 For him to know this, so you know whether of course we cannot be definitive but it was just all the evidence appears that OK there's something here going on. It's clearly beyond what our senses can tell us. Yeah, that is wild. I've heard stories like that before so it's not totally anomalous...it's kind of crazy. You mentioned they seem to have this defiant or angry energy to them Do you think that's part of the indigo kid package? Or is that anger, that defiance more a reaction to being just a young enlightened being in society full of unenlightened, uninspired working class adults who might make them feel alienated

CHAPTER 08 / 25 Discussion

Fierceness and Resistance, Indigo Kids vs Programmed Society

Indigo children are described as having a "fierceness" that is often mistaken for defiance by mainstream society. Healy argues that these children are not programmable like previous generations because they rely on an inner wisdom rather than external authority. This resistance is viewed as a hopeful sign for those concerned with societal manipulation and global control.

defiance· programming· inner wisdom· societal systems· resistance

13:06 Well, certainly that doesn't help but their energy is running faster than a lot of people's energy and it's more intense. And that intensity to them you know adults who have indigo children or adults who are indigos themselves they know that intensity they have this intensity to them and it is a fierceness when they want to do something they want to do something where if they don't wanna do something then they will refuse so there incredible fierceness to them and when that's channeled for good great things can happen in the world. So they are given that intensity and fierceness because one of the collective reasons that they came is to help break down systems that don't work in our world, and create ones that do

13:50 Yeah, one part of a... One anecdote of intensity from your book is that there was one kid who was being bullied at school and his parents came to you because he had said if you send me back to school I'm killing myself. That is the end discussion? Is that the kind of...? I mean that's definitely an intense statement! I mean I've heard this a lot in work with parents and children regarding this but I think that intensity or refusal to do something what most of the mainstream world would call defiance is how that energy appears. What it really is, is fierceness and just energy that they need to channel for good but it will come out as refusal. I refuse where 30-40 years ago kids might have felt that way but they still went along with it because their parents were like you gotta do this and there's no other choice. Nowadays when parents say that it just doesn't work out. Kids say forget it, I'm not doing it. They're not programmable the way kids were in previous generations. They just say I'm not doing it

14:45 Yeah, you know that's the most enlightening and hopeful aspect of it You know if you if you're in the conspiracy wheelhouse And you feel like things are manipulated and people are programmed The fact that they're resisting that I mean. That's a very hopeful thing yeah, I mean They have an inner wisdom so they're not looking to be outside world all the time to say okay What's true? And what's not true? They really rely a lot on what's inside of them And they don't care if you're their principal or parent. If they think it's not right, they won't do it." So of course they still need our guidance but there is some wisdom that they come with. That's super interesting! Can you give us a couple more anecdotes about indigos that would highlight their differences from regular kids?

CHAPTER 09 / 25 Discussion

Giftedness and Creativity, Non-Traditional Talents in Children

Indigo children often exhibit off-the-charts creativity and giftedness in specific areas that may not align with traditional school subjects. Healy cites Michael Phelps as an example of someone with ADHD who excelled in a non-traditional setting. She shares a story of a six-year-old client designing a birdhouse with skylights to illustrate this advanced creative thinking.

creativity· giftedness· adhd· dyslexia· michael phelps

15:29 That's a good question. You know, I think that giftedness and creativity are two other things that are off the charts for them and when I say giftedness, I don't mean that they're A students. They have typically at least one area or one subject that they're really gifted in. It might be like Michael Phelps it might be swimming you know? It might be something that doesn't line up in traditional school setting and they may actually be deficient in certain subjects, like Michael Phelps was ADHD or dyslexic. He had issues with traditional school so they have this high intensity, high energy level and at least giftedness in one area and they also are creative and when I say creative, I don't mean just regular creative their creativity is amazing! Oftentimes I hear parents and teachers and adults with indigos say you know I've never seen someone as creative for example

16:24 I had a client who was making a birdhouse, and in her little six year old world the bird house had skylights. It has all sorts of incredible creative things to it that other kids just didn't think up so their creativity is off the charts So if you've run into parents who have seemed to identify that they have an indigo child, do you try and steer them away from a traditional school system? Because it seems like it could be trouble for them. I would put them, my recommendation you know making that school match as we all know having gone through school is so important right? You know that's the first place you feel like you can either be yourself or your like oh I can't be myself. So you really want to make a good match where they feel like they can be who they came here to be and often times indigos and sensitive kids in general their gifts

CHAPTER 10 / 25 Discussion

Alternative Career Paths, Innovators and Square Peg Jobs

Traditional "square peg" jobs and 9-5 routines are described as painful for Indigo individuals who require freedom for creative expression. Healy suggests that even in traditional fields like medicine, Indigos like Dr. Oz find ways to innovate and work outside the box. The focus for these individuals is on doing things differently rather than following rote memorization.

career· innovation· dr oz· 9-5 jobs· creative expression

17:17 don't line up with traditional school systems, so I don't always recommend that. Certainly charter schools in Waldorf and Montessori and other schools are oftentimes a better fit but it depends on the school, depends on the community, depends on the child but i do recommend places where they really feel like they can be who they are and they don't have to just try and fit in because the goal is really to help them develop their gifts and share their unique light here Yeah i mean it seems like the things you call in the book square peg jobs no doctor lawyer traditional things it seems like if a person with this type of energy got shoehorned into one of these types of square peg jobs that would be pretty

18:00 miserable life for someone like that? Well no, they would just have to do it in a way that worked for them. For example Dr Oz might have some indigo energy certainly he's on TV and he is doing things all over the place so they would never be able to do it like you know sort of like 9-5 they would be doing whatever they did an extremely creative way that wasn't done before. That's another thing about these indigos, they're real innovators right? They really want to do things differently that sort of in their heart and core and soul and going into something that is just root or memorization is painful for them so they want that freedom to be creative and express themselves and be able to do things outside the box whether they were a scientist, scholar, artist whatever it is they would need that freedom to do things differently

CHAPTER 11 / 25 Discussion

Global Resilience, Tibetan Refugee Children and Happiness

Maureen Healy discusses her time working with Tibetan refugee children at the base of the Himalayas, which inspired her book Growing Happy Kids. She observed that despite extreme life experiences, these children possess a universal resilience and a desire for happiness. Healy emphasizes that sensitive and Indigo children are found globally, not just in the United States.

himalayas· tibetan refugees· resilience· growing happy kids· dalai lama

18:47 Right. I mean, how do you deal with that encouraging parents to give their kids that kind of confidence because you really have to reach a certain level of success before you get that type of freedom in your career? That's true but you know what I do believe is the world is changing in many ways and I think that with technology and the internet and just the universe Children are coming into themselves earlier or people are you know it used to be like where you had to take a job yet just stick with your job until you know you made it like you're saying to a certain level and then you could really do you work but I think nowadays kids can really. Express themselves in unique and creative ways and there's enough,

19:29 Creative organizations out there that they can find a way they can make away. They can connect with other like minded people that can support their success so I think kids are really having success earlier with sharing your unique gifts and I don't think they need to go down a path that they don't feel like it's who they are. I think they need to stay in the flow and be who they are, and i'm not saying don't take a job to pay the bills, i'm just saying to always be cultivating their unique gifts and to be working towards their dreams is very real and possible I agree with you. Something, and I wanted to step back to your bio a little bit because the part where I put in the introduction that you lived at the base of Himalayas and worked with Tibetan refugee children... Can you give us some insight into what those kind of kids are like? I feel like they've had some pretty extreme life experiences that have probably made them quite different from American children. Right well my first book is called Growing Happy Kids And that book is about confidence and resilience and a deeper type of happiness

20:33 I start that book in my experience over there in Asia. To answer your question, these kids are resilient kids. These kids like most kids have that inner strength and ability to want to be happy. That's what ties us all together everyone wants to be happy so we look for it in different ways which is why I wrote the book Growing Happy Kids adults do some more conscious parenting and teachers and people like that. But children, wherever they are in the world want to be happy, want to express their unique gifts. And indigos and sensitive kids are everywhere! You know it's not a US thing or... It's really I have worked with parents over Skype wherever they're located and they've all asked similar questions so it's pretty incredible. As far as indigos are concerned

CHAPTER 12 / 25 Discussion

Higher Sense Perception, Children Seeing Angels and Auras

Some children exhibit higher sense perception, such as seeing angels or energy fields, which Healy encourages parents to nurture rather than suppress. She argues that traditional schooling often "drums out" this natural connection to spirit and intuition. Maintaining this connection allows children to navigate the world while staying open to their imaginative and spiritual gifts.

higher sense perception· angels· auras· intuition· traditional schooling

21:25 Give me some of the most extreme examples you've seen of intuition, high energy, those types of fringe energetic things. Intuitive, you know kids often will tell me things before they happen. I've had parents call me and say hey my daughter is seeing angels can i bring her to you? You know what I mean? Kids are able to tap into a world that not everyone can see they have what I would call higher sense perception they develop that you know they come in with that and whether they shut it off or they continue to cultivate of course depends on their

22:04 family and surroundings and experiences. But you know I'm a believer that if you are connected to all that there is, I would encourage you keeping that connection um and that involves intuition. Intuition is a very natural thing. I think that you know if any of us have gone to traditional schools it was sort of Drummed out of some people because they were told you know hey we have all the answers you don't but if you can learn how to trust yourself and To really be open to creativity in your imagination And spirit I think that you can stay connected and that you can learn how to navigate our world and be that sensitive Yeah, I mean. I really do think most people will have a few examples in their life of their own intuition But it seems

CHAPTER 13 / 25 Discussion

Developing Intuition, Awareness Exercises and Group Practice

Healy provides practical advice for developing intuition, starting with calming the mind through breath and awareness. She describes a group exercise where participants focus on one person to receive intuitive impressions, which often results in significant personal confirmations. Like a muscle, intuition can be strengthened through regular practice and the removal of self-judgment.

meditation· intuition· awareness· breathing· group exercises

22:51 kind of random. I mean, how would you suggest someone harness or increase that intuition? I think with kids and adults...I mean the first step is really to get in touch with yourself meaning to calm down and sit still. It doesn't have to be a closed-eyes meditation at first but you can do a walking meditation to just develop a level of awareness Being able to direct your feelings and get in touch with how you feel. And it is through our breath, and it's through our feelings that we get to really develop our intuition. There are certain ways for teachers and classes and all that stuff for developing your intuition. One example

23:36 that I've recently gone to is a group of people, you know. You have- you sit in a circle and one person said, you know we... One person, we all focus on one person and you just get whatever you receive intuitively! And you don't judge it, you don't interpret it, and that person says yes. And oftentimes they come back and say oh my god that's a tremendous confirmation for me, I was thinking X Y Z So sort of like exercising your intuition like you would exercise your muscles? And as you realize how connected you are and how that you often do have the ability to tap into all that there is in the wisdom of the world, by doing it more and more you build your confidence. You build those muscles. That's really fascinating! I mean that whole area is kind of foreign to me. I've explored a little bit. I've gone to a Reiki master once before but I didn't feel much of an effect. I haven't gotten much out of meditation

CHAPTER 14 / 25 Discussion

Energy Healing, Reiki Training for Children

As a Reiki master, Healy teaches energy healing to children, noting that they are often more "tuned in" than adults who require more explanation. Children in her classes report seeing colors and feeling energy, which helps build their confidence in an internal power greater than themselves. This awareness is presented as a tool for persevering over life's obstacles.

reiki· energy healing· children· confidence· spiritual power

24:31 With the people that do in my life that I know they're very grounded and they seem a lot more well-rounded So it's pretty interesting to me, especially the area of energy healing Can you give me some examples about young kids are discovering? They have these types abilities or how far these abilities can go Well, yeah. My background is a Reiki master and I do provide healing sessions hands-on healing to adults and children but i often teach classes where children are involved usually over the age of seven and you know it's interesting because they're just tuned in they're connected where oftentimes when I teach adults

25:09 I don't want to say you have to convince them, but you have to explain energy and how it works and how the body works. And talk about it kids are like oh I got this so oftentimes they'll see color coming out of their hands they can feel it they can see angels in the room. They're really sort of tapped in helping them understand energy which everything in the world is energy but helping can be a wonderful thing because it builds their confidence and it starts them thinking from the get-go, wow I can there's a power within me that is greater than me. And when you really believe that when you know that and you know that you know that you can persevere over any obstacle in your life You don't have to think XYZ is bigger than me or that's bigger than me. You can begin to realize that there's a power greater than you and to grow up with that awareness is incredible

CHAPTER 15 / 25 Discussion

Seeing Auras, Lifestyle and Higher Sense Perception

Healy explains that anyone can learn to see auras by practicing at dusk or in soft light, focusing on the energy fields around plants and animals. She emphasizes that a healthy lifestyle and a mindset of love, rather than ego, facilitate the development of higher sense perception. Personal validation through direct experience is described as the key to moving beyond theoretical belief.

auras· energy fields· consciousness· lifestyle· nature

26:05 Yeah, I mean it seems like they have such a jump on developing themselves as well-rounded person than even most adults do. It might be sometimes off putting if the kids seem to develop faster than their own parents That puts the dynamic in a weird place. Well, it's interesting because you know every family is everyone's growing together right so in olden days of parenting people would think oh your parents have the answers and they're gonna teach the kids or something like this nowadays It sort of more of an enlightened way of thinking like, you know We're all in it together we're all learning we're all growing And that's a really healthy way to think of it as well as To realize that these kids not just you know psychic insensitive and indigo kid

26:47 You know, they came to us for a reason. We're here to learn as much as they're here to learn So that's a really powerful thought. Yeah, that's a good way to look at it too I would love to see colors or auras...I mean I just don't is there anything I could do to develop that kind of ability? Or am i just kind of stuck No! You can certainly learn how to see auras not complicated It's just a matter of practice and I think your lifestyle whatever anyone's lifestyle really impacts your consciousness So the healthier you are in all ways, the easier it is to develop higher sense perception. But if you were outside and it was maybe dusk when the sun is setting or it can be bright light but

27:35 You know when you close your eyes to more of a fuzzy feeling, like you sort of see things but it's a little out-of-focus? Yeah. And you can start to see energy around plants! You can start to see an energy field around plants because all the aura is is your personal energy field so um...you're just learning how to see the energy field either around plants or animals and people and if you continue to do that and you continue to come from a place of love and not wanting like ego, like wanting I want to see it. I want to see because it's cool and I can tell all my listeners that you know I'm seeing horrors now. True! This is really come from the place of this just something I wanna develop in experience You know? It'll happen And then you say oh yeah this stuff is for real Because I think it is when you have direct experiences with this stuff Right

28:25 Hard to debate it. I mean you certainly can debate it, but then you've had your own experience You go oh this really does work Oh, I totally agree and that's why you know I'm looking for that personal validation. I like to explore it I like to hear about it But it's all just kind of theory until I have some type of experience so I'm still looking haven't had it yet but um But it is one of those things also that, you know I don't want to say be careful what you ask for but if you do ask for it the universe will always bring you the people and books and places that would be perfect right step for you. That's something I heard before too! The universe tends to unfold as it should

CHAPTER 16 / 25 Discussion

Laughter and Wisdom, The Benefits of Comedy

The conversation shifts to the importance of laughter as a stage of wisdom and a biological tool for health. Healy notes that spiritual leaders like the Dalai Lama maintain a natural sense of joy regardless of outside circumstances. The segment also explores "laughter meditation," where groups force laughter until it becomes a natural, contagious release of endorphins.

laughter· dalai lama· comedy· endorphins· laughter meditation

29:04 Well, back to kids. You know it's funny to me because everyone likes to just see kids being kids the other day I was actually in traffic court and a lady had to bring her son who is like this little four-year old kid and couldn't sit still and didn't understand the seriousness of Court And it was it was just hilarious because when she was dismissed the kids stood up on his chair and yelled goodbye everybody and like totally quiet room you know and Sometimes I wonder if that mindset of children, just being light-hearted super friendly and having fun everywhere. I sometimes wonder if those things really fade away naturally or as we grow up or if that's the natural state of people there and it has to be aggressively weeded out by the eight hours a day five days a week for a lifetime

29:47 Well, I think laughter is the first stage of wisdom. So if you and if you look at any brilliant teacher on this planet like You know his holiness the Dalai Lama or people that I can think of other people too They have a natural sense of joy and laughter, you know They've been able to cultivate something within them that isn't dependent on outside circumstances To be light-hearted, you know there they come to it from not just their heart but also their mind. They understand that when you're happy and you're joyful, that stuff increases in your life and that when we focus on a negative, that stuff increases so doing it from sort of this enlightened self-interest learning how to be lighthearted about things is really healthy happy thing and it does lend itself to developing intuition. Yeah I mean that's so well said because I've always

30:41 Thought you know it's cliche that laughter is the best medicine, but I've always enjoyed comedy amongst all other things It's how I've dealt with every frustrating aspect of life And they and then I just recently a friend showed me videos of this laughter meditation and it looks really weird and off-putting But just groups of people forcing themselves to laugh until it becomes contagious and natural. Um...it's very goofy but I can understand how that would release endorphins and make someone actually happier Absolutely. I haven't done the meditation, but just the idea of it makes me want to laugh because it's true that laughter really is one of the best medicines and certainly from a biological perspective like you just said, it really lifts your body up

CHAPTER 17 / 25 Discussion

Tech Savvy Kids, The Hundredth Monkey Effect

The discussion covers the innate technological proficiency of modern children, relating it to the "hundredth monkey effect" where a critical mass of consciousness leads to instinctive knowledge. Healy mentions a school in White Plains, New York, that has transitioned entirely to digital textbooks. This shift is seen as a positive step toward engaging children in a connected, global learning environment.

technology· hundredth monkey effect· digital textbooks· white plains· social media

31:26 And another thing in the book that you have that I thought was interesting is, you mentioned that these new kids, Indigo kids are a lot more tech savvy right out of the gate and they have like this innate knowledge of how to use modern technology. That's pretty interesting because i've recently been thinking about the idea that I know a lot of people who have kids who are just picking up iPads and iPhones and really getting it and I sometimes wonder if validation for the thing they call the hundredth monkey effect. Are you familiar with that? Yes, yeah like for people who aren't it's you know The idea that scientists were watching monkeys teach their kids how to wash food in a river and once a number of Monkeys who learned how to do this hit a critical mass in the proverbial 100th monkey could do it Instinctively without needing to be shown and I wonder if that's what's happening with technology or is with indigo kids Is it to a stronger degree

32:15 Well, I think you know children are born of the consciousness in which they come into so you know we are a Connected planet right now and they are born connected They just get technology and oftentimes You know children are borne in for sometimes for a reason that we can't even imagine maybe they're gonna be a spaceship mechanic Right. So so the idea is that they are just naturally tech savvy in particular indigos but mostly most kids of course But it's just a fascinating idea. I just tweeted, on the Twitter at MD Healy and i just read that the first US school went all digital in their textbooks so I thought that was pretty great! Whoa that is great we know where this? I do its in White Plains New York

33:02 Interesting. Yeah, and I thought at first I was like really because you know that's not how I went to school so we had that experience of change like can that really work? And then as I was watching the video and I was thinking about it I'm like this is a wonderful step in the right direction because we are all connected and these kids can access any textbook of their school So if they're really interested in something or they want to look at the year before them and clarify an issue I mean It really allows him to be engaged in learning in a whole new way I agree. It can be such a distraction, especially video games and that kind of thing but it's not going away so if you can harness social media and harness the ability to use these tools at an early age you could do some pretty creative stuff Right! And it forces teachers to be on top of their game They gotta watch kids they gotta get engaged they gotta make sure they're really doing there work like you said

CHAPTER 18 / 25 Discussion

Digital Culture, Unplugging and Communal Internet

While acknowledging the importance of unplugging in nature, the hosts discuss the communal benefits of internet culture and social media. Platforms like Twitter are praised for their "flat" structure, allowing direct interaction between people and public figures without corporate filters. This digital connectivity is viewed as a potential component of a broader human awakening.

facebook· twitter· digital divide· nature· community

33:57 Yeah, I mean i know people my age that are in their late 20s that still don't know how to use Facebook or Twitter and they just don't care. And it's like you know that's fine but you're going to be one of the very few 50 year olds in twenty years who don't know this stuff. You're just cut out of that section and its a huge section of our social interactions Well, from my perspective it doesn't matter if you use it or not but as long as your aware of it and at least something that you can try and decide works for you because it is a great way to get information. And you can turn off like everything I'm all for days where there's no hook up technology when you go out in the woods or beach wherever it is

34:37 Yeah, I do think that's important too. You have to unplug once in a while but internet culture though it's uh...I really love it because some is very goofy sometimes but at other times also is communal you know way more communal than we get in our capitalistic society and I think that might be part of the awakening as well And I like the idea how flat Twitter is. connect with people in a great way. Yeah, you cut out a lot of those middlemen I think that's part of the appeal people love the idea that some celebrity might say something to them or at the very least they get to hear the thoughts of people they admire without it being filtered through The Tonight Show or something like that

CHAPTER 19 / 25 Discussion

Indigo Governance, Partnership Models and Bureaucracy

Healy speculates that a government run by Indigo children would prioritize partnership and equality over hierarchy and unnecessary bureaucracy. She warns, however, that without proper guidance and mentorship, the intensity of these children can lead to depression or anxiety. The potential for positive change depends on channeling their "warrior energy" toward the greater good.

government· bureaucracy· equality· leadership· mentorship

35:31 So, that's interesting. Judging by the most common personality traits and values that you see in these kids if you gave control of the government and society to a group of say 10 or 20 indigo kids what changes do you think they would make? Well, they would cut out all the nonsense. I mean these kids are... Say we got the best and the brightest of 20 of these sensitive indigo kids. They would be really clear that it wouldn't be hierarchical it would be more partnership there'd be more equality equanimity

36:09 And they would also be really focused on things that mattered to them. You know what I mean? They're not as much, they're not very good with bureaucracy for example they hate rules so if they put rules in place you'd be sure that it was for a reason. They wouldn't have rules to have rules it would be like okay we can't do that we want streets and blocks and... They would move things forward in a way that worked for more people So I think that's really the opportunity in our consciousness now meaning that these kids were really watching consciousness in action, we're watching our evolution and these children many of them with the proper guidance and mentorship and support things like that have the opportunity or potential to do great things but I will say they also can be very challenging too. So kids that

36:57 Have this intensity and the sensitivity if they don't get the right guidance You know, they can become depressed and they can become anxious and making it. They cannot use their intensity for good means So it's really important that when we see these kids that we can see their potential in health Yeah I mean they could at least probably do better than a government shutdown But if they shut down it would be for a really good reason It wouldn't be for just you know It would be interesting to see and it'd be nice if we elected the best and brightest of anything, you know Like we don't elect scientists or biologists or sociologists like our politicians are literally experts in nothing Right. Well I mean, I think you know there...I forgot the name of this school I should look it up But there's a school that is run by the children And it's a wonderful example of what would happen I think for government I mean in schools their school works! It really really really works

CHAPTER 20 / 25 Discussion

Alternative Education, Homeschooling Cooperatives and Waldorf

The segment explores various alternative education models, including homeschooling cooperatives, Waldorf, and Montessori schools. Healy argues that because Indigo children are not "programmable," the delivery of education must change to be more active and project-based. These models allow children to follow their interests rather than being held back by rigid grade-level structures.

homeschooling· waldorf· montessori· charter schools· education reform

37:53 So they have board meetings with all the kids. It is a great idea to see what would change. I wonder about that with my own kids, my girlfriend and I sometimes talk about the idea if we had kids what do? Sometimes we think about homeschooling but then I worry about all of the pressure on myself to do that, you know it's a lot and also their interaction with other kids so it's like I don't know if i want to do that but then public school to me seems like a joke but then at the same time, maybe they should go to public school and ill give them a real education because I want my kids to be able to interact with normal people still even if they understand we're being put through the ringer in all these weird ways

38:34 Well, it's interesting because there are some places on the planet in the US where homeschooling doesn't just mean their parents are teaching them at home. There is homeschooling groups where they've organized different teachers and such so that homeschooling is more social and if done correctly they can really get wonderful things from there where they're not held back by grade level stuff You know what I'm saying? They can be more engaged. They can work on things that they're really interested in, and they can have education in a way that you really want to learn. You go to school like okay great! I'm working on XYZ project. I really want to work on this versus saying oh no not math again

39:11 So there is ways to make homeschooling work depending upon where you live and what's available. But there are creative resources for adults with children who have that intensity, and the sensitivity, and the intuition that we're talking about Yeah, I mean do you have any other examples of alternative schooling? Because that's really interesting to me. Yeah, I think there is homeschooling cooperatives and I think there is Waldorf. There are a lot of charter schools and I know a lot of other schools that are really doing their best to help children learn in ways that work for them because since Since these children are not programmable, they're going to do what they want to do. Of course there's times when it's non-negotiable you need to brush your teeth or go to bed and whatever it is we can work with them on. The way that they learn needs to be engaged and active. They need to study things of interest even if the subject isn't interesting for them. They have to learn in ways that makes them feel engaged

40:08 So the way we deliver education is going to have to change because we're just at sort of the tipping point where so many kids are sensitive that, you know, regular school system won't work. It will...you know I know a lot of kids they come home and say how was school today? And they go oh no it wasn't. You know what i mean? And parents, a lot of parents or adults would just say that's what it is but it doesn't have to be that way. There are other creative ways It's so sad that a lot of parents will say that to their kids you know kids they all school suck and it's like yeah well schools gonna suck and then there are coming home from my job that sucks now i get well you no one should know what school works can i suck in its like,

CHAPTER 21 / 25 Discussion

Identifying Indigo Traits, Warrior Energy and Sensitivity

Healy outlines the specific characteristics of Indigo children, such as high intensity, sensory sensitivity to lights and sounds, and a "warrior energy" focused on fairness. While many creative people share these traits, Indigos are distinguished by their persistent refusal to follow arbitrary rules. The goal of identifying these traits is to help parents understand and support their children rather than viewing them as difficult.

indigo traits· defiance· sensory sensitivity· warrior energy· creative people

40:53 for their own kids when the one they went through didn't make them happy. Right, right and the thing is there are a lot of indigos that have become adults now so there's adult indigos now although my book The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids focuses on indigo children but there are a lot of adult indigos and those people who were saying hey we're not dealing with this regular school stuff we're gonna do it in a way that works So will continue to see shifts in educational system and they will be for good And so as indigo kid kind of like I mean it seems like sort of a broad term, but is there any way to completely identify one? Like or is it all kind of vague.

41:34 Well, I mean, I think that the key pieces – there's not like a – I can't give them a blood test right now and say … Right. Yeah of course. But certainly if you have higher sense perception and you're able to see the indigo aura that would be a big clue but from a characteristic standpoint in my book The Energetic Keys To Indigo Kids I have page 28-29 they all talk about their descriptions and characteristics and adults who have children who are highly intense have this energy of defiance and adults know if their kids are like, I refuse to do this. They know if that's an everyday thing Also, with that sensitivity meaning bright lights and the smells and sounds of what people say to them. They know if they have a highly sensitive child who has that intensity to them and also has that sort of warrior energy and has it shared mindset where they want things to be equal and they want things to be fair and I can keep going down the list. They wanna be partnered with it or wanna be told what to do.

42:33 Adults know that fits their child or they have something else. But I've just seen so many indigo kids come into my office and I thought it was time to write a book, so more adults would realize there's nothing wrong with my child. Maybe I think they're challenging and difficult but when I really understand them better I can have more success with them and help them have more success with their own lives. So when you go through the characteristics, even though it's not black and white adults typically know if that they're nodding their head. If they've got an indigo child, they know from their experience of raising a child with their child just has occasional tantrums or if it's an everyday thing. Yeah because it seems a lot of those things on the list outside of the energetic stuff fit the profile for most creative people I know growing up

43:22 And I think, well like i mentioned there's that big umbrella of sensitive kids and creative blatantly creative people they're always under their sensitive kids umbrella but the indigo child in particular is the one who's highly sensitive and also has that intensity and fierceness to them. So you know they could, that's just their energy. So it's learning how to channel that energy whether its jumping on a trampoline whether its reading a book or playing soccer everyday they need to channel that energy or can go in the wrong direction It's really interesting because it's almost like the universe is manifesting what it needs. You know, kids that want things to be equal they don't like hierarchy they don't like rules they don't likes structures holding them down and its funny because you say there they're more resistant maybe because the universe put out some kids a couple generations ago and then their like well that one didn't work we gotta get kids are more intense in order have to have kids that are intense enough overcome this structure were involved in

CHAPTER 23 / 25 Discussion

Building Resilience, Role Models and Genuine Relationships

Building resilience and confidence is identified as essential for sensitive children, especially those facing bullying in school. Healy emphasizes that parents must act as role models by nurturing their own happiness and being honest about their mistakes. Establishing a genuine, non-authoritarian relationship is seen as the best way to ensure open communication as children become teenagers.

resilience· confidence· role models· bullying· communication

46:48 That, you know that it's not about us raising the kids as much as it is about all of us growing together and being able to help them be who they came here to be. And that might like we said be different than we think and help them connect with who they are and allow them to flourish in ways that work for them whether its their school whether it's their friends whether it's you know the unique interest that they have. I mean do you think the most important tools are probably just...I mean you want to get out of the way manifest their creativity in their own way, but it's pretty important to build their confidence. A lot of these kids especially in the book you have several cases of kids that are bullied in school. You gotta build that confidence so they realize hey I'm doing my thing and that's fine even though its different from everybody else and there was no one there when I was young to really say that just say the things your doing your creative, your doing things your own way and eventually thats gonna flourish into something for ya

47:43 Right. Well, I mean, I think that you make a good point and that's why I wrote the Growing Happy Kids book first because that's all about how to develop a deeper sense of resilience and confidence and sensitive children need that more than anyone so the whole point is to develop that inner strength and that resilience so they can have the courage to share their unique gifts And also, you know to answer your other question that you had for me I think a big piece of the puzzle is of course happiness yourself becoming someone who's creative and engaged in the world and sharing your gifts. I think that being a role model for your kids is essential really realizing that the happier you are the better it is for your kids so taking the time to really nurture yourself as an adult parent teacher I think is incredibly valuable

48:31 Yeah, and I know it can be super hard. I'm sure as a parent because I have so many bad habits that you know We're just not having a great example in areas like diet And an early life consumerism And I think people just forget that every moment they're with their kids their kids are absorbing what they're doing and I'm going to eat fast food all the time, but my kids aren't going to be seeing that. And I just think that's pretty important you know? I am a lost cause but I can help inspire some young kid to be better." being honest with them and really doing your best. And when you make mistakes, we all make mistakes telling them hey I could have probably done that better. I think having a genuine relationship with kids will go really far because at one point in your life you might want them to call you when they're teenager and people are drinking getting into the car saying mom can you pick me up? You want to be able to have that relationship

49:34 them. It's really genuine that they can feel like, okay I can really talk to my mom or my dad it's not...they're not off limits so that's important. Totally agree some of the most authoritarian parents when i was younger their kids acted out hard you know, strongly against that opposition. And if you aren't putting yourself in that position of being a super strict authoritarian, you can be more of a guide. You know they can actually talk to you because if you're too authoritarian the kids like well I can't fucking talk to them right? They have no idea what I'm thinking! Right and also you want it...

CHAPTER 24 / 25 Discussion

Future Society, Compassion and Indigo Leadership

Healy expresses hope that as Indigo children move into leadership roles, their natural compassion will help transform society for the better. She concludes by sharing her website, growinghappykids.com, and mentioning an upcoming speaking event in Mountain View, California. The segment ends with a call to continue the "good fight" for a more enlightened future.

compassion· leadership· mountain view· growing happy kids· maureen healy

50:27 Be available to them, you know I mean good And I think that adults often parent the way they were parented until they take a pause and say okay How was I parented what worked for me? What didn't and whatever didn't work for you just drop it. Don't do that Do it differently I agree It seems so simple but it's so funny that we're in the position We're in Another thing, I've always felt like the people that are in charge and government making real serious decisions in society are of a much older generation who's completely out of touch. I think everybody has that experience when they're in their 20s and 30s but as indigo kids start to fill some of these roles in society where they're gonna actually be making important decisions how do you think society is going to change? You think we're gonna see a real benefit

51:15 Oh, without question. You know I mean Indigo kids that have been that have really started to nurture their strength and skills, and have the wherewithal to focus their gifts for the greater good. We'll see certainly positive differences. I mean not every indigo is going to be stellar let's be honest but certainly they all have that potential. And i know that the ones that focus on using their talents for the greater good will do that. They have such great compassion When they use that, they really can help transform things.

51:53 That's my hope. I'm with you, that is really the main reason why i have such an interest in the idea that these kids are changing and there is an awakening taking place it's a hopeful thought in a hopeless world but regardless its about time thanks so much for being here It has been great talking to you again the book is The Energetic Keys To Indigo Kids Do you have a website or any events? My website is growinghappykids.com And im on twitter at mdhealing Awesome. Do you have any upcoming events or anything like that? You do go on occasional speaking tours, right? I do! I'm going to be in Mountain View California in January but I am always adding new things to my calendar so certainly check it out and I think there's some free chapters on my website too so you might be able to download some things and take a browse. Nice. Alright well thanks again Maureen It has been a pleasure keep fighting the good fight Thanks for having me Take care Bye bye

CHAPTER 25 / 25 Discussion

Kids Don't Stand a Chance, Vampire Weekend Outro

The episode concludes with the song "Kids Don't Stand a Chance" by Vampire Weekend. The lyrics touch on themes of pinstripe vendors, Egyptian cotton, and the loss of history. The music plays through the final segments of the transcript as the show signs off.
