About this episode

Dr. Alexis Cowan joins the program to expose the systemic suppression of light biology and the intentional blue-shifting of the modern environment. A PhD in molecular biology from Princeton, Cowan details how laboratory protocols strictly protect the circadian rhythms of mice while exposing human researchers to damaging fluorescent bulbs. This dichotomy led her to investigate the sunspiracy, a gatekept reality where mitochondria function as electromagnetic antennas that require full-spectrum sunlight to regulate metabolic health and prevent cellular decay.

Recent findings from the Light Lab and researchers like Dr. Jack Kruse suggest that modern LED bulbs and standard window glass create a near-infrared deficiency that blunts mitochondrial melatonin production. Cowan explains that UVA exposure on the skin is essential for nitric oxide production and cardiovascular health, while UVB light triggers the POMC prohormone to regulate cortisol and dopamine. The discussion also addresses the work of Kevin McKernan regarding SV40 promoters in mRNA vaccines and Dr. Sabine Hazen’s research on microbiome depletion, linking environmental light toxicity to broader systemic health crises. Further evidence suggests that pulsed radio frequency radiation from Wi-Fi and 5G increases blood-brain barrier permeability, allowing toxins to bypass natural biological defenses.

Dr. Alexis Cowan describes the human body as a light-emitting system that produces its own biophotons and metabolic water through deuterium depletion. The conversation touches on the historical suppression of hemp and home-distilled fuel as a blueprint for the current incandescent bulb ban. Between mentions of radiotrophic fungi in Chernobyl and the biophysics of a grounded cold plunge, Cowan offers a masterclass in reclaiming energy independence from the technocratic indoor paradigm.

CHAPTER 01 / 32 Discussion

Dr. Alexis Cowan, Molecular Biology and Circadian Health

Dr. Alexis Cowan, a PhD in molecular biology from Princeton, joins the program to discuss the intersection of light biology and systemic health. After overcoming personal health challenges and studying biochemistry, she transitioned from conventional medical paradigms to exploring the foundational role of light. Her work, influenced by Dr. Jack Kruse, focuses on how light exposure regulates mitochondrial function and overall biological well-being.

00:12 Let there be light people from the sunshine state. I'm Greg Carlwood, and when you see the sad state of our society obesity rates chronic disease in general unwellness coupled with the advice of our arrogant white lab coat class within the mainstream medical establishment who regularly mock alternative health

01:21 You gotta conclude that they're either wrong about a large number of very important things or this system of sick, overweight chronically tired citizens where nearly every measure of health is showing a concerning trend is something they're proud of. Either way, it shows their advice should be heavily scrutinized and sometimes it is. The health conscious among us usually start with eliminating the industrial chemical covered frankenfoods in exchange for organically grown local crops and more ethically sourced animal products Maybe we also pay better attention to the quality of the water we take or avoid plastic with things that we consume

01:59 And a lot of us do all we can to avoid the harsh products of the pharmaceutical industrial complex, recognizing that everything from shots to SSRIs often come with new problems that can make us even worse off than when we started. But when it comes to light, the conventional doctrine tends to go unchallenged – sunlight is definitely deadly and artificial light is essentially harmless. Well, when almost all the other conventional advice is wrong maybe this is too and today's guest Dr Alexis Cowan is here to address just that like many bright minds who found their own way it started with her own personal health journey being chronically sick at a young age then fed medications that caused obesity paired with eating the wrong things and it all resulted in a long process of correcting where conventional medicine went wrong

02:44 Along the way, she got a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and mathematics and a PhD in molecular biology from Princeton. But like myself it was finding the work of Dr Jack Cruz that really awakened her to a foundational pillar of health that goes largely ignored in an area conventional knowledge has gone unchallenged our relationship with light. Now she pays it forward sharing all she's learned through her website where she offers courses, protocols and takes on individual clients as well as on her podcast Undoctrinate Yourself where she talks to other awakened health experts who have also seen the light on a wide range of issues

CHAPTER 02 / 32 Discussion

Princeton Circadian Studies, Laboratory Light Dichotomy

During her doctoral research at Princeton, Dr. Cowan observed a significant contradiction in laboratory protocols regarding light exposure. While researchers strictly used red light at night to protect the circadian data of lab mice, they remained under harsh fluorescent lighting themselves. This realization led her to investigate the "sunspiracy" and the gatekept information regarding how light environments impact human mitochondrial health.

03:19 It's a true honor to have her here, the sunspiracy exposer screen sickness educator and true light bear in an age of biological darkness. Dr. Cowan welcome to The Higher Side. Hey thanks for having me this was a great intro I'm really excited to get into it with you today Yes, I'm psyched we can do this because across the board with friends and family. I see the same thing absolute paranoia when it comes to bare skin sun exposure and then absolutely no care or thought whatsoever to blue light screen use or indoor lighting And i have small kids so it comes with a lot of judgment that

03:55 I'm just not worried about sun exposure enough. At almost any gathering, the difference is very noticeable between my behavior and my family's and everybody else's. And I'm sure I'm not alone in almost second-guessing myself sometimes because I feel like I'm on an island with this and really wanting to have someone at a high level like yourself break it all down so I can feel more confident with this issue in the face of all this kind of peer pressure stuff. So tell us how the light issue got on your radar and

04:31 just how it really changed the way you approach health when it's not on anyone else's radar? So I think, I had my first realization that something was very wrong within the centralized paradigm. When I was doing some circadian studies at Princeton during my PhD and I had to do all these crazy time points so like 2am 6am 2pm 6pm uh...so my own sleep of course was getting tanked in a process of getting this data from the animals And, you know when I had to go and get these time points late at night let's say 2 a.m., I'd go into the mouse room and in order to actually do what I had to do and take blood samples from the animals, I had to turn on lights but I could only turn on red lights in the room because institutionally we knew that if you put on bright white lights in the middle of the night that your actually impacting the data that your receiving, your impacting the animal's health and circadian well-being

05:24 And so I would put the red lights on, take my samples and then bring the samples back to my brazenly lit fluorescent light lab and prepare the samples or whatever. And put them away. Part of me was very stirred up around the dichotomy here like why am I making an effort to only put on red lights for the animals at night but when it comes to my own health I'm not taking that same consideration. So, that was like my first little inkling that something was up here but i didn't really fully fall down the circadian and light biology rabbit hole until spring of 2023 so just over two years ago now when I found Dr Jack Cruz's podcast with Rick Rubin and Andrew Huberman for me that like oh my gosh there's so much that I missed here

CHAPTER 03 / 32 Discussion

Light Lab, Decentralized Science Funding

Dr. Cowan is currently establishing the Light Lab, a privately funded, decentralized research facility dedicated to studying light biology. The initiative aims to bypass the incentives of three-letter government agencies to provide transparent data on how environmental light affects metabolic health. The project seeks to democratize health information, allowing individuals to reclaim their well-being through natural light exposure.

06:18 for whatever reason, has been gatekept from those being trained by the centralized model. So I remember learning about circadian biology tangentially during my graduate training but never really felt its importance in like my day-to-day life. Like we did have red lights in our home before I even found Jack's work um...we weren't really on the blue blocker train. I was naturally always inclined to like tan outside it always felt like intuitively that felt good for me but never connected the dots scientifically. So it wasn't until I found Jack's work that all of those dots started to get connected and I realized that this was not only like a portal into understanding my own health and how to take things to the next level, but it's also a portal into questioning absolutely everything and realizing that we were basically sold a bill of lies

07:11 which is very disconcerting as somebody who has gone to some of the top institutions for training, realizing that we are being sold half-truths. and not really paying attention to some of the most important and critical aspects that regulate our biology with regards to the light in the environment being this incredibly important aspect to mitochondrial function. And I was in one of the top metabolism research labs at Princeton, so mitochondria is like at the heart of what we are actually interested it but we weren't talking about the light conversation whatsoever despite there being decades and decades have data that this a really important aspect not only the visible light they were exposed too

07:50 but also the non-visible, non native EMFs and native EMF that are present within the environments that also play critical roles in regulating metabolic and mitochondrial health, circadian biology. And overall the health or disease of an organism. So thats kind of my journey that led me up to where I am now where Im just like 100% all systems go on light biology I'm in the process of building out funding and structuring the Light Lab. So, I want to start a decentralized privately funded lab that studies light biology and can ask all the questions that we need answered in a way that three-letter agencies will never have the incentives to fund. And so, that's kind of what I am oriented towards now is really building out this vision and helping to democratize this incredibly important information so people can reclaim their health.

08:42 I love it. And yes, obviously if you can just go outside and heal yourself or feel better when you're sick than a lot of people lose a lot of money so there's not a huge incentive to even tell people about this but i think that would be one of the things that surprises them is that the literature and data is clear and then its been clear for a long time because they are confronted with that conventional knowledge that there is no healthy tan, all sunlight is dangerous. You must protect yourself well in your quantum health ebook you have obviously many parts of it dedicated to just this and I learned a lot from it but take us through the composition of sunlight and why each part is important because this is really stuff that should be taught to us in kindergarten but we're still learning at 40 years old

CHAPTER 04 / 32 Discussion

Sunlight Composition, Infrared and Radio Frequencies

Sunlight consists of over 50% red and infrared light, with the ratio increasing during sunrise and sunset. The spectrum includes the full visible range (ROYGBIV) alongside ultraviolet UVA and UVB rays. In contrast, modern environments are saturated with man-made radio frequencies like Wi-Fi, 5G, and Bluetooth, which are not naturally present in the environment and have been known to impact biological systems for decades.

infrared light· ultraviolet· electromagnetic spectrum· 5g· wifi

09:34 Yeah, I actually find it quite interesting that within the centralized landscape there is this explosion in popularity and red light therapy. And most people who get super into that don't also realize that sunlight is over 50% red and infrared light. And that actually increases as we get towards the beginning and end of each day, so if you look at sunrise and sunset lights were looking at 80 plus percent red and infrared lights and as that sunlight approaches midday or getting increased in amount short wavelength blue UVA and UBB rays And so when we're talking about the spectrum of sunlight, we're really looking at the whole visible spectrum. So the way that actually people can verify this for themselves let's say because if you look at sunlight it's not intuitive that there is ROYGBIV red through violet light present in some light but if you know your outside and you look at something red or you look at something green, you'll get a green plant The reason that plant looks green is because green light from the environment is being reflected off that plan into your eyeballs

10:35 and that actually involves some really cool things about like DHA, which maybe we can get into later. But that allows you to perceive color right? So whenever you can actually see a color that is an indication that that color light is present somewhere in your environment. And when it comes to sunlight we have the full visible spectrum red yellow orange green blue and violet and then on the end of violet we have ultraviolet UVA and UVB. And above red we have infrared, which is broken into infrared A and infrared B within the infrared a we have the near-infrared rays that get um a lot of attention today I would say. And then the infrared

11:11 the far infrared A and out into infrared B, we have these longer wavelengths that are edging towards microwaves. And radio frequencies are way down the line there wavelength-wise which are the rays that we use in Wi-Fi 5G Bluetooth etc., these are the radio frequencies and they're not present naturally in the environment this is a manmade kind of an environment that we're receiving In nature, we get a very small fraction of radio frequencies in the environment. But I only mention that because I'm sure we're going to talk at some point about non-native EMFs and how they've emerged as this incredibly impactful feature of the modern milieu that is causing a ton of harm and it's been known to do so for 70 years

11:57 But with regards to the composition of sunlight, that's what we're really talking about. Infrared through ultraviolet and each wavelength within sunlight has important features and functions so maybe we can start at the infrared in red as it is typically the least controversial I would say and move towards the most controversial in UV rays. So infrared and red light are known to be basically nutrients for mitochondria both near infrared and red light can directly interact with mitochondria to increase mitochondrial water, energy and light production. So I guess i should just give a little brief overview of what mitochondria are responsible for people may have heard about it in high school biology classes as being the powerhouses of cells but they actually do a ton more than simply making

CHAPTER 05 / 32 Discussion

Mitochondria, Biophotons and Endogenous Light Production

Mitochondria function as electromagnetic antennas and emitters, producing ultra-weak photon emissions (UPEs) or biophotons. These internal light emissions occur primarily in the UV and infrared ranges, suggesting that the human body is naturally adapted to these frequencies. As endotherms, humans produce significant infrared radiation, which can be visualized using thermal cameras, confirming the body's role as a light-emitting biological system.

mitochondria· biophotons· upe· infrared radiation· endotherms

12:45 power or energy, I really like to conceptualize mitochondria as electromagnetic antennas and electromagnetic emitters. And so what i mean by that when we say electromagnetism that is what light is both the visible and the non-visible parts of the light spectrum fall into the range or the category of electromagnetism And so when we're talking about electromagnetic emission from mitochondria, we're really talking about biophotons. So a lot of people don't know that biophotons are a major feature of all biological systems and what I mean by that is that all biological systems make light in some form And we've known for multiple decades now that mitochondria make a ton of these, what are typically called UPEs, ultra-weak photon emissions. The reason they're called ultra weak is because these photons are not readily lost from the body instead they're retained and absorbed by key molecules within the system

13:38 So although they're hard to detect from the outside using a photomultiplier, which is the typical tool that would be used to measure these things. There's a ton of them made inside they're just kept within the system and the primary wavelengths there's a range of them but some of the most important wavelengths of biophotons made within the mitochondria are in infrared and UV range and in particular the UV wavelength Many of these biophotons actually falls within the UVC range, which is UV light that's stronger than what we receive from sunlight. So the sun does make UVC light but it doesn't make it through our atmosphere so we don't actually receive it here on Earth surface But UVC light is even stronger higher energy waveform than UVB light meaning that has a lot of high-energy

14:23 There's a lot of energy stored within those waves. And so our bodies are making those and so that was like one of the first things I learned, that's kind of first principles thinking being that if our body is making UV light that stronger than the sun how could it possibly be toxic? Like there must be more to this story here and we'll get into that more in a little bit but suffice is say for now The body is making UV and infrared light a ton of it and its really important from bioenergetic standpoint People can prove to themselves that the body makes infrared light. If you ever have an infrared camera or you see any infrared camera footage online, You can look at somebody on an infrared camera and that's because they're emitting a ton of infrared light aka heat So infrared radiation is just another word for heat

15:09 And our bodies make a ton of heat because we are endotherms, meaning that we have to produce our own heat to regulate our body temperatures. Unlike the exotherms like reptiles for example that bask in the sun in order to take on that infrared rays And so we are literally light beings making a ton of light. We just happen to not be able to see this light because both UV and IR rays are in the non-visible parts of the spectrum, So we can't perceive it with our eyes but its very much there So this is mitochondria. They're making a ton of biophotons, they're also making energy in the form of ATP but they're also making something else that's called deuterium depleted metabolic water This is all inherent to what's called the electron transport chain which is the pathway by which the mitochondria actually make ATP Which is the thing that people will probably be most familiar with which is this like chemical energy reserve

CHAPTER 06 / 32 Discussion

Deuterium Depletion, Mitochondrial Water and ATP Synthase

Mitochondria produce deuterium-depleted metabolic water as a byproduct of the electron transport chain. Deuterium, a heavy isotope of hydrogen, can "gunk up" the nano-rotors of ATP synthase, impairing energy production. Clinical trials suggest that reducing deuterium levels can improve insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes and slow the progression of certain cancers by restoring mitochondrial efficiency.

deuterium· atp synthase· metabolic water· cancer research· diabetes

16:05 And so as a byproduct of making ATP, you are by default making UV biophotons infrared light and You're making this deuterium depleted metabolic water and many people probably haven't heard of deuterium Some people may have heard of deuterium in the context of deuterium depleted water that you can buy But just briefly deuterium is a heavy form of hydrogen Water is H2O. So there's two atoms of hydrogen one atom of oxygen and When we're making water within the mitochondria, the hydrogens that are being put together with the oxygen to make this water are only light hydrogen. So protium which is just one proton and one electron, the smallest element on a periodic table in the top left corner

16:52 But there are different what are called isotopes of hydrogen. So deuterium is a heavy form of hydrogen that has a neutron added into the mix and so because Hydrogen is only mass unit of one, so if you look at like the atomic mass it's roughly one And when you add a neutron into the mix to get deuterium, you're actually increasing the mass from one to two. So you're doubling the mass and when you double the mass of something it increases the size of that thing as well and it turns out that part of the electron transport chain that is required again to make this energy water and light um is called ATP synthase and it's the last step that allows for the production of ATP

17:32 Now, a little bit complex but hopefully people are bearing with me here. Mitochondria essentially work as a battery separating positive and negative charge so negative charge being electrons positive charge being protons. Protons are hydrogen without the electron presence so it's just an H+. So part of this electron transport chain's job is to pump protons out of the inner part of the mitochondria, to separate it from the negative charge, the electrons. Then the electrons are pumped through this chain. The protons then can come back into the inside of the mitochondria through ATP synthase but the reason I bring this up and the reason its important is because only light hydrogen can fit very well through the pore in ATP synthase that allows the gradient

18:18 the gradient to be decreased. That allows for actually, if you look at an electron microscopy video or image rendering of ATP synthase it's literally a rotor, a nano-rotor that spins and as it spins it makes ATP And the reason it spins is because these protons are coming back into the inner part of the mitochondria through this pore. But only light hydrogen can fit through that pore well, and so the reason I'm even mentioning this is because when deuterium starts to get into the mitochondrial environment it starts gunking up the mitochondrial engines and impairing the production of light, water and energy at the level of the mitochondria. And so when we look at like the deuterium depletion studies using deuterium depleted water that's you know go by

19:05 Those studies are really what we're seeing from that is mitochondrial improvement, which is highly relevant in basically all chronic disease states. A couple of the major areas that it's been primarily studied are in cancer and diabetes so in some 12-week clinical trials in humans we see dramatic amelioration of type 2 diabetes and insulin sensitivity as well as decreased cancer like grading and reduction in the rate of spreading of cancers, and increased remission rates as well. So deuterium-depleted water helps to restore mitochondrial function which then facilitates the production of endogenously produced deuterium depleted water so our cells are mitochondria making a ton of their own deuterium depleted water

CHAPTER 07 / 32 Discussion

Indoor Lighting, Near-Infrared Deficiency and Window Glass

Modern indoor environments are characterized by a severe deficiency in near-infrared light due to the prevalence of LED and fluorescent bulbs. Standard window glass exacerbates this issue by blocking nearly all near-infrared and UVB rays while concentrating blue light. This "blue-shifted" environment deprives the body of essential light nutrients required for deep-tissue mitochondrial support and cellular repair.

led bulbs· blue light· near-infrared· window glass· artificial light

19:55 but it's just a matter of how well they're functioning is going to dictate how much we make. And then, of course the bio photons come along for the ride as well So anyway, to zoom back out to the red and infrared light story. When we're talking about red and infrared lights supporting mitochondrial function, we're talking about all these things. We're talking about the production of light inside, we're talking about the production of energy, and we're talking about the production of deuterium depleted metabolic water inside of ourselves. And we're meant to be bathed in red and infrared light from sun up till sundown no matter what time of day it is if the sun is up there's an abundance of red and infrared light The near-infrared component of infrared light is particularly important because it has the most penetrance. So, it can penetrate the deepest into the body, it can go through the skin, it can go through bone, you can go through hair, and even clothing. And so near infrared light is particularly important when we're talking about bathing even the deepest mitochondria in our body with these healing frequencies that facilitate mitochondrial function

20:53 Modern indoor environments are completely devoid of near-infrared light. So if we look at energy efficient quote unquote light bulbs, we're thinking about LED and fluorescent bulbs as well as our device screens or laptops our phones our desktop computers our TVs tablets these are all highly shifted towards blue wavelength light and away from red infrared light because infrared light is seen as a waste product because it is not contributing to the brightness of the device or the light bulb And there's no recognition that infrared light is actually an essential nutrient for the body by these government entities that are deciding what the standards should be for indoor artificial lights. And so, the result is we're sitting in indoor environments 90% of Americans' time is spent indoors or more in fact in some cases and

21:45 While we're talking about the indoor milieu, we're talking about a very blue-shifted light environment that is absent in red and infrared light as well as UV light. And this is exacerbated as well by the window glass that is used in standard window panes which blocks almost all near infrared light about 30% of UVA light and all of UVB light. So simply by sitting indoors behind glass you are already concentrating the blue part of the light spectrum from sunlight So anytime anybody tells me, oh I have great natural light in my home. Unless those windows are open or your doors are open that is not natural light in fact that is artificial light already without even adding any of the light fixtures into the mix and so that's kind of the red and infrared part of the story we are highly deficient in it as a species as a modern indoor living species

CHAPTER 08 / 32 Discussion

Circadian Rhythms, SCN and Light-Dark Cycles

The suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in the brain regulates the body's 24-hour cycle based on environmental light and dark signals. While midday sunlight reaches 100,000 lux and provides a balanced spectrum, indoor lighting is significantly dimmer and lacks the necessary frequencies to properly trigger daytime cognitive and metabolic functions. True health requires both high-intensity full-spectrum light during the day and total darkness at night to facilitate cellular regeneration and autophagy.

circadian rhythm· scn· melatonin· autophagy· lux

22:37 The next part of the spectrum I'll talk about is blue. So, I mentioned that our indoor environments are very blue shifted. Blue light is very important from a biological regulation standpoint so blue light is the primary input that is regulating our circadian rhythms so many people probably heard of circadian rhythm but just briefly the circadian rhythm is the 24-hour cycle in the human body and it is primarily dictated by cycles of light and dark in the environment. So those are the two primary inputs that are allowing the master clock in the brain, the SCN, super charismatic nucleus to understand what time of day it is and then send all of the endocrine signals to the rest of the body about okay this is what time it is we need to engage in these behaviors

23:22 because if it's bright out and there is lots of blue light present, midday sun is about 25% blue light but its always balanced with an abundance of red and infrared light which is important because blue light in isolation actually impairs mitochondrial function. And actually side note I know we'll talk about melanoma little bit later but there is published literature going back many many years showing that exposure to fluorescent lights can actually increase the severity and risk of developing melanoma So take that for what we will, we'll get back to that a little bit later. But that blue light in isolation impairs mitochondrial function in the skin eyes and proximal brain regions where it's reaching and you know that's not something you want to do. And again in nature we always receive blue light with an abundance of red and infrared because that red and infrared actually helps to buffer the effects of blue light on mitochondrial function so blue light midday 25%

24:17 Combine that with the brightness of sunlight, if we're talking about the brightness of indoor versus outdoor environments. Indoor, we're looking at max a couple thousand lux which is a measure of brightness outdoors on a sunny day and we're talking 100 000 plus lux so the brightness of the light is much much much higher outside and light brightness is also a very important aspect or input to circadian biology to help turn on the processes that are supposed to happen during the day. And those include cognition, digestion movement metabolism these are all functions that are important to be able to upregulate during the daytime when we need to access these faculties

24:59 Contrast that with night time, at night we're supposed to get dark darkness that is devoid of blue light. That is devoid of bright light and that also I would argue includes non-native EMF's because again these are sources of light in the environment whether we see them or not Our cells are looking and expecting to receive darkness at night, which is what allows the other program to turn on in the circadian system. Which has to do with regeneration cellular cleanup autophagy mitophagy cellular turnover very very important part of the day So, in summary there with regards to circadian biology both bright full spectrum light from the sun and dark darkness at night are equally important when it comes to having a healthy circadian rhythm. Not one is more important than the other and that's why nature is a decentralized system There's no one single controller It is controlled by two

CHAPTER 09 / 32 Discussion

Subcellular Melatonin, Blue Light and Mitochondrial Antioxidants

Near-infrared light exposure is essential for the production of subcellular melatonin within every mitochondrion, acting as a critical antioxidant. This mitochondrial melatonin is distinct from the melatonin produced by the pineal gland for sleep. Chronic exposure to artificial blue light without infrared balance blunts these protective mechanisms, leading to mitochondrial damage and preventing proper mitophagy and biogenesis.

melatonin· pineal gland· antioxidants· mitophagy· near-infrared

25:50 different things, light and dark at the same time. And so we need both of those if we want to have health in general and also have a healthy circadian rhythm as well. So blue light is the primary input that is telling that master clock in the brain hey it's daytime We need to activate daytime functions which also upregulates sympathetic drive you know movement drive cognition these types of things however the blue light that we're receiving in indoor environments is not natural. It's very alien because we're not receiving it in the proper balance with other wavelengths of light and so instead, we're kind of getting pushed too far in that direction where we're actually leading to burnout and sympathetic overdrive and elevating cortisol levels...and we'll talk about

26:32 the palm sea story when we talk about UV light also kind of relates as well to blue light exposure, but I'll link it back later. But suffice to say for now that when we're exposed to a lot of these artificial lights during the day but especially at night, we are directly blunting melatonin release from the pineal gland which is responsible for helping us to get sleepy, to fall asleep and get good quality sleep throughout the night. That blue light directly impairs that release furthermore if we didn't get enough bright full spectrum light during the day we don't even have the serotonin available to convert to melatonin to make that you know melatonin available for us to get that good quality sleep and fall asleep easily so again this is a two-factor story we need both the bright light during the day in the dark darkness at night if we're looking to optimize sleep quality

27:19 And so the blue light that we're getting in our indoor environments is a problem at nighttime for sure from a sleep quality perspective, from metabolism perspective. From a mental health perspective all of these things but then during the daytime we're not getting any of that near infrared light like I mentioned which is actually responsible for making melatonin and every mitochondria within your entire body and it turns out the melatonin within the mitochondria is very special and distinct from the melatonin made in the pineal gland, the mitochondrial melatonin acts as a major antioxidant within the mitochondria to help maintain the proper balance of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species.

27:56 and that is actually an important part of the biophoton story as it turns out, but it's also an important part of the mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis stories. So those are the processes by which our bodies are able to deplete the damaged mitochondria and expand the good quality mitochondria. And so when we're missing a lot of that near infrared light in our environments, as all modern humans are for the most part, we are missing the creation of this incredibly important subcellular factor melatonin that is actually allowing our cells to maintain quality control mechanisms. Um, I'll move on to UV light, but I don't know if you have any questions first before I continue ranting. No, no. I feel like you've talked about this before, but I do have just a couple of things in my notes and this is UVA and B related which are going to talk about,

CHAPTER 10 / 32 Discussion

UVA Light, Nitric Oxide and Neuropsin Receptors

UVA light exposure on the skin stimulates the production of nitric oxide (NO), a vasodilator essential for cardiovascular health and the prevention of hypertension. The body expresses Neuropsin, a specific UVA light detector, in the skin, eyes, and testes, where it influences testosterone production and local circadian regulation. Avoiding UVA through excessive sunscreen use or clothing may contribute to NO deficiency and related conditions like erectile dysfunction.

uva· nitric oxide· neuropsin· hypertension· erectile dysfunction

28:47 UVA light is a primary stimulus of nitric oxide production in the body and NO is a free radical that stimulates the blood vessels to dilate allowing for the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to tissues. And the removal of metabolic waste products, NO is produced whenever UVA light touches your body. In other words, the more skin you can expose, the more benefits you will receive. And then you say in the book Side note, NO deficiency in the blood vessels of the genitals is a primary defect in hypertension high blood pressure and erectile dysfunction don't know anything about that. And then UVB in addition to vitamin D production UVB light also stimulates the production

29:30 pro-hormone in the skin and brain called Palm C which you mentioned. Palm C promotes alpha, beta and gamma endorphins and those endorphins boost mood cognitive function support healthy immune function improve memory reduce anxiety reduce compulsive behaviors and addictions and enhance baseline dopamine levels which increases capacity for critical thinking empathy and open mindedness and you can only max the palm c if your Your skin and eyes are being exposed. So there's the sunglass component as well, but yeah what did I miss there? No that's beautiful and that's exactly where i'm heading next so it's a great preface for that so when it comes to UV light we have these two subsets that were exposed from sunlights so UVA and UVB. With regards to UVA you mentioned one really important part of this story which is

30:21 the nitric oxide production part. So UVA light directly supports the production of nitric oxide in the skin, then that nitric oxide is able to diffuse into the bloodstream where it exerts its effects on the blood vessels creating vasodilation facilitating blood flow nutrient oxygen delivery waste tissue removal from tissues as you mentioned um nitric oxide is also the primary defect in cardiovascular disease and particular hypertension high blood pressure And so, I mean it makes perfect sense when we see every time people are going outside you know they're typically if they're not wearing clothing covering their skin they're slathering on sunscreen to prevent that UVA light from interacting with their skin and so they're missing out on this incredible cardiovascular support mechanism in the form of UVA light exposure onto the skin. There's also another part of the story though

31:07 which is a photoreceptor or light receptor that's expressed in the body called Neuropsin. So, Neuropsin is specifically a UVA light detector so it's looking for UVA light in the environment which another side note I challenge all the ophthalmologists and dermatologist to answer me this why would our bodies express a receptor all over our surfaces for UVA light if we weren't meant to receive it? Think it's a great question yeah Neuropsin is expressed in skin, eyes, testes as well. So that whole trend about sunning your balls actually scientifically back because neuropsin in the testes actually relates to testosterone production and fertility rates

31:50 So you actually need to get UVA light directly on that tissue to stimulate the neuropsin in that tissue. Obviously, again we're going to talk about UV light exposure doesn't mean to go outside and like fry yourself to a crisp We're gonna talk about as it relates to UV light building up the solar callus coined, which means that you're gradually building up your tolerance over time. But you're also modulating your lifestyle to decrease your risk of burning because a lot of people think, oh, I'm just going to burn because I have fair skin or something. But that's not the case. A lot of the behaviors that modern humans are engaging in are setting them up to burn. It's not an inevitability. So those are the two main portions of UVA light story, the nitric oxide part of the story as well as the neuropsin part of the story

32:36 And norepsin also plays a role in local circadian regulation. So we mentioned the master clock in the brain, the SCN there's also peripheral clocks throughout all of the tissues in the body that are regulated by that master clock but they're also looking for signals from the environment to regulate themselves at a local level and so this UVA light via norepsin is another important lever in this story Now let's talk about UVB light probably the most demonized of the light spectrum of the sun, but also arguably among the most important. Funny how that works out! I know right? It's funny how that happens

CHAPTER 11 / 32 Discussion

Vitamin D Supplementation, Vital Study Limitations

Large-scale human trials, such as the VITAL study, have shown that vitamin D supplementation provides minimal benefits for preventing cardiovascular disease or cancer. Dr. Cowan argues that blood levels of vitamin D should be viewed as a biomarker for sun exposure rather than a nutrient to be optimized via pills. The health benefits associated with high vitamin D are likely derived from the sun's full spectral effects rather than the isolated hormone.

vitamin d· supplementation· vital study· cardiovascular disease· biomarkers

33:14 So UVB light is, people probably know a bit about it from the vitamin D part of the story. And so UVB light is the only part of the solar spectrum that's able to catalyze the conversion of 7-D hydrocholesterol into pre-vitamin D in the skin. So UVB rays are the ones responsible for making vitamin D we're going to talk about the vitamin d story probably in a little bit Actually, I might as well just get into it now. So vitamin D a lot of people are supplementing with it right and they think oh You know I'm doing a good thing getting my vitamin D levels up with the supplement I mean some people also struggle to get their levels up with the supplement But that's kind of another story all of the data in the literature up through now including some major major large human trials Including the vital study which took thousands of people and gave them high dose vitamin D supplements to look at health outcomes

34:02 and particularly they were looking for outcomes in cardiovascular disease and cancer, and find next to no benefit from supplementing with vitamin D. Despite the fact that Adequate vitamin D status is associated with protection against cardiovascular disease and cancer, multiple cancer types. And so the takeaway from that for people should be that vitamin D in your blood is actually a biomarker of your sun exposure habits of your time spent outdoors and it's not something that should be optimized via supplementation It's not actually evidence-based anymore to supplement with vitamin D What is evidence-based is all of the benefits that you get from sun exposure, even independent of vitamin D which I want to get into now because when you learn about the benefits of UVB light outside of vitamin D it becomes very clear that you can't simply take a pill for this. It actually has to be from UVB light itself and so that's where the POMC story enters. POMC stands for proopio melanocortin

CHAPTER 12 / 32 Discussion

POMC Prohormone, UVB Light and Cortisol Regulation

UVB light exposure to the eyes and skin triggers the production of Pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) in the hypothalamus. While blue light can stimulate POMC in the pituitary gland to produce cortisol (ACTH), only UVB light unlocks the full repertoire of ten cleavage products. Chronic blue light exposure without UV balance leads to extended cortisol levels, which can promote catabolic tissue breakdown and systemic insulin resistance.

pomc· uvb· hypothalamus· cortisol· insulin resistance

34:58 It's this complex prohormone that is made in many tissues, but the two I'm going to focus on here are the brain via UVB light exposure to the eyes as well as in the skin. The immune cells also make POMC and it's also interesting to note here that the immune cells—the brain and the skin—also all come from the same embryologic origin which is called neuroectoderm. So if anybody took a developmental biology class this is one of the primary tissue within a developing organism that then splits off to make different tissues. So the reason I bring that up is because it's important to realize that the skin, brain and immune system are tightly linked because they share this same origin together. And so when we make this POMC in the skin and eyes via UVB light exposure, POMC gets cleaved into 10 different hormonal products

35:46 I want to actually give a little bit of nuance here. Depending on what tissue is expressing palm C depends on how many of these cleavage products become unlocked when you're exposing your skin and your eyes UVB light again, when I talk about eyes exposed to UVB light it don't mean staring directly at the sun i just mean allowing the ambient light to come into your eyes unfiltered not coming through sunglasses uv blocking prescription glasses uv blocking contacts allowing your naked eyes interact with ambient light When you do that, that triggers the production of POMC in a specific part of the brain called the hypothalamus which is like the thermostat for the entire body. It regulates energy expenditure, it regulates appetite, it regulates body temperature metabolic rate all these things so that's a unique aspect to hypothalamic production is that all 10 POMC cleavage products are made in the hypothalamus when POMC is expressed there same in the skin when you make POMC in the skin you get the full repertoire of products

36:44 In contrast, when you make POMC in the anterior pituitary gland which is another structure or gland within the brain. You can actually make POMC in the pituitary gland from blue light exposure however you don't get all the cleavage products. And what's worth noting here is that one of the cleavage products that you do unlock from blue light exposure into the eyes in the pituitary gland is called ACTH, so ACTH is the stimulator of cortisol production in the adrenal glands So when you're exposed to blue light in the absence of UVB light

37:20 you now are making cortisol and cortisol is kind of gets demonized. I mean it's not all bad right? It's an important circadian biosensor, it's supposed to be made in the morning and upregulated in the morning to help liberate glucose and fat from storage so that your organs and your brain in particular have this energy to come online and start to wake up for the day But most people are sitting under artificial blue light that's completely devoid of UV and infrared light all day long, which means that they're becoming... I don't want to say cortisol dominant but their cortisol levels are higher and more extended than they should be. And cortisol is very catabolic so it can lead to the breakdown of tissues, break down of skeletal muscle, it elevates glucose levels, it elevates insulin levels in a fact its creating more insulin resistance within the system

38:06 which is actually a physiologic mechanism to spare resources for the brain, which is what it's meant to do in the morning. But if it's elevated extended all day long to a certain extent now you're actually creating and fomenting insulin resistance in your system because if you're under that light all the time you're literally creating that state moment-to-moment So, that's the blue light story as it relates to POMC production in the pituitary gland. But as it relates to hypothalamus and skin, UVB light is the primary stimulus for POMC production in these tissues and then we get the full repertoire of products which I want to get into now. So three of the cleavage products of POMC in the hypothalamus on the skin are alpha beta and gamma MSH or melanocyte stimulating hormone

CHAPTER 13 / 32 Discussion

Melanin Superpowers, Human Photosynthesis and Chernobyl Fungi

Melanin is a sophisticated pigment capable of absorbing a wide range of electromagnetic frequencies, from radio waves to gamma radiation. Dr. Arturo Solis Herrera's research suggests melanin may facilitate a form of human photosynthesis by splitting water to create free energy. This theory is supported by the discovery of radiotrophic fungi in Chernobyl that use melanin to thrive on nuclear fallout, suggesting similar energy-harvesting capabilities in human biology.

melanin· photosynthesis· chernobyl· arturo solis herrera· gamma radiation

38:53 As the name implies, these hormones are responsible for triggering the production of melanin within the melanocytes. So these cells that make new melanin. Melanin is a very deep dark hormone pitch black pigment and absorbs all wavelengths of light from radio frequencies out through gamma radiation. And I want to talk about melanin a little bit as well because it's actually like, a superpower and the more i learn about quantum and light biology the more I realize that this there's no such thing as a healthy tan propaganda and also the demonization of having darker skin and thinking that it's like dirty and bad and it's like socio-economically

39:29 at a lower status if you have darker skin is a total sigh up and we'll get into the, we'll get into why in a little bit like the actual powers of melanin that it has. It's so incredible But suffice to say for now that alpha, beta and gamma MSH allow our body to make new melanin in response to UVB light exposure. So the new melanin that's produced by melanocytes in response to UVB light can take up to three days to manifest when you go out for like a single sunning session and you feel like you look more tan at the end of that session what that's really result of is uva light exposure so uva light can change how melanine granules the size of them and where they're diffusing too

40:07 And so when you acutely get more tan from UVA light, you're really just changing the density and the positioning of the melanin granules but you're not increasing the total melanin amount in the body. UVB light is what makes new melanin that's only frequency that's able to do that And so melanin is really important. We're going to talk a little bit about why in a minute, but I want to talk about alpha MSH in particular really quick which is one of these cleavage products that I mentioned because outside of supporting melanin production alpha MSH also directly interacts with the hypothalamus and the brain to decrease appetite and increase energy expenditure So for anybody who's hearing that should

40:47 be kind of like a mic drop moment because when you look at this ozempic craze and the GLP-1 agonists, they're actually working on the same pathway which is what a lot of people don't know. GLP-1 stimulates the production of POMC in the hypothalamus to create POMC in the hypothalamus which gives you this alpha MSH which can then suppress appetite and increase energy expenditure so what I'm saying is naturally just by getting enough UVB light you're activating the same pathway actually It's incredibly important from a metabolic health standpoint, body composition and fat loss standpoint. With regards to appetite suppression as well... We're going to link this back to the Melanin story in just a little bit.

41:32 There's a researcher called Dr. Arturo Solis Herrera who has this hypothesis of human photosynthesis whereby he purports that melanin can split water to make free energy and actually if you look at the neuroendocrine response to UVB light, that would actually support that right because if you are able to leverage high-energy waves in sunlight aka uv light in the sun to make free energy the natural response of the system should be to decrease appetite and increase energy expenditure because now you have more energy on board to deal with. And what he's saying is actually not unprecedented either, so if you look back into the 90s researchers at Chernobyl went into the reactors and found all these pitch black mushrooms within Chernobyl! They did some research and they found out that these mushrooms were actually using melanin to make free energy from gamma radiation from nuclear fallout

CHAPTER 14 / 32 Discussion

Beta-Endorphins, Dopamine Burnout and Critical Thinking

UVB light exposure produces beta-endorphins, which naturally elevate baseline dopamine levels and enhance critical thinking and empathy. Modern society suffers from "dopamine burnout" due to constant social media use and artificial flicker, making individuals more susceptible to manipulation and addictive behaviors. Maintaining high dopamine through natural light exposure strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing for better peripheral vision and a broader perspective on complex issues.

beta-endorphin· dopamine· parasympathetic· social media· addiction

42:27 Like how amazing is that, right? So we actually have proof of concept in the fungal kingdom that this is very very much possible and it's likely happening in humans. So this is actually one of the major points I'm looking to study in the light lab as well as further flesh out exactly what's happening when melanin in our skin and our eyes and our hair are interacting with UVB light So, going back to POMC. There's another really important cleavage product that I want to highlight here and that is beta-endorphin so people may have heard of endorphins in the context of like exercise for example but endorphins are endogenous opioid molecules just like the drugs that people like to abuse

43:05 And the opioids not only make us feel good and feel kind of satisfied and content and happy, but also help to raise overall dopamine levels. Which as you alluded to a bit ago, you mentioned that when these dopamine levels go up, you can actually think better. You can critically think better. Most people are suffering from a case of dopamine burnout because we're constantly scrolling on social media on these blue light devices that totally burn us out and activate our sympathetic nervous system that is leading to this, you know draining of our energetic resources and That's not even to mention the flicker from these devices that is exhausting the eye muscles That help to actually control the pupil contraction and expansion which is completely just like off-the-rails when we're in high flicker environments Which is the case for all of our device screens essentially as well as fluorescent light bulbs are a big source of flicker as well LEDs are also a problem

44:01 And so the modern human is very, very in a very low dopamine state which means that they're easily manipulated. They're easily sold propaganda let's say and will assimilate that as just fact without looking into anything themselves And so when you're getting enough UVB light and getting these endorphins and the dopamine that you get as a result of them, that's actually allowing you to kind of see the bigger picture better. It's able it's allowing you to also get more parasympathetic so that you can see the bigger picture more readily when you're getting... When you have the proper balance of parasympathetic to sympathetic nervous system tone You can not only literally like you get access more access your peripheral vision So you can literally see more

44:46 But you can also, in your higher mind let's say you can see the bigger picture more readily as well. So you're able to connect more dots, you're able to think more clearly You are also going to be much less likely to fall victim to compulsive and addictive behaviors right? Because if you are getting your dopamine at a consistent rate from your environment via UV light now you aren't gonna feel the need to reach for junk food reach for pornography, reach for drugs or alcohol whatever people get their hits on Because you're already getting your you don't need a hit. You already have the baseline elevated Basically, the way I like to think about dopamine is you got to get it one way or another So if you're not getting from your environment? You're gonna go looking for it through these compulsive behaviors that give you this quick hit and then a crash of dopamine so instead of Cruising at altitude you're on the dopamine roller coaster which is you know, you're just asking for burnout and

CHAPTER 15 / 32 Discussion

Blue Light Weaponization, MKUltra and DARPA Patents

The prevalence of blue light in screen technology is framed as an intentional outcropping of psychological control programs like MKUltra. According to theories involving Dr. Jack Kruse and patent attorney Nicole Shanahan, DARPA-linked patents for screen technology were distributed to companies like IBM to influence human behavior. By removing natural light frequencies and utilizing blue light flicker, these technologies allegedly create a state of suggestibility and addiction in the user.

mkultra· darpa· ibm· blue light· nicole shanahan

45:38 bad relationships and you know, a short fuse and all of these things as a result of that. Yes. And let me jump in here just to say on this topic of dopamine burnout and all these effects that she just laid out. I mean, you are crushing it. You don't even need me here. But what I want to talk about is how these effects that she just ran through the list, these effects were intentional. The cultivation of these effects were intentional. This is basically something I got from uncle Jack But the story of screen technology, it's not an accident that it emits blue light and only blue light. This was designed from the get-go as kind of an outcropping of MKUltra The way this story goes is he tells it is the CIA saw what was happening in Vegas casinos like how are they getting people to give their money away and making so much? And they realize there controlling behavior by

46:31 getting rid of the windows, having these big flashing screens and these machines, slot machines that are emitting blue light. They got good looking women with their tits out and they're feeding them alcohol as he says like these are the components to keep people sitting there giving away their money to essentially the mob in the CIA wanted us see what was going on? That's one piece of the story but then You know, as project paperclip was happening and they're bringing these Nazi scientists in MK ultra there. They're transporting a lot of data then they go down to Mexico to see if they can control bowls with

47:08 a The story is they make all that, that goes to DARPA and then DARPA hands out the patents for screen technology. It goes to IBM. IBM's worked with Nazis before not unfamiliar and they start making screens that emit blue light because they want these very effects. And now today in the smartphone world we know that it's a dopamine hit all these little red notifications

47:51 It's not just the design of the apps and social media, it's the screen itself. So you can't even say well I am just not, I'm just going to avoid the notifications and I'm just gonna turn that off and not let the social media affect me that way? No it's the screen itself so that was just really eye opening to me but where it gets weird and I hope maybe you can shed some light on this but now Google was founded in 1995. They get the part, the patents for the search algorithm from DARPA and Google and Meta apparently have the blue light screen patents This is what Dr Jack talks about and Nicole Shanahan of course was the patent attorney for Google so she

48:35 As I understand, sought Dr. Cruz's help with her autistic son they start talking she has this extra insight a lot of people don't have and i'm assuming that this relationship is how Dr. Cruz got a lot of this information about the patents of blue light and the history of the screens being used as a weapon essentially but But did I miss anything in that story? Because people worry so much about the sunlight, 100% concerned about sunlight. 0% concerned about the weaponized technology they're using every minute of the fucking day and did I miss anything laying that story out? Also when you say it like that it becomes very obvious why you would need to demonize the sunlight if you're trying to control people with this technology because if they use it outside and their balancing those frequencies with natural light your no longer getting

CHAPTER 16 / 32 Discussion

Non-Native EMFs, Alan Frey and Biological Control

Researcher Alan Frey demonstrated that pulsed radio frequencies could alter animal behavior, making rats docile or even stopping a frog's heart. His work showed that non-native EMFs can increase blood-brain barrier permeability, allowing toxins to reach brain tissue. These findings suggest that the wireless technologies integrated into modern homes, including Wi-Fi and tablets, may be exerting unintended biological effects on both adults and children.

alan frey· emf· blood-brain barrier· radio frequency· mkultra

49:24 effect on like hooking them to that device and being able to, I mean independent of just being addicted to being on the screen itself. We have no idea what kind of subliminal messaging can actually put into your subconscious mind using the flicker or pulse waves that are used in non-Native EMF part of this story as well and thats another thing i wanted to highlight is you cant really separate the blue light from the non-native EMFs in this story. And if you look at Jose Delgado's studies and for MKUltra back in the day, they initially were using radio frequencies and these things and using this wireless communication via the non native EMF to control the bull but then I really want to highlight Alan Frye's work as well as Robert O Becker's work so both of these researchers were active from

50:08 Starting around the 1950s onward, Becker ended up getting cancelled in 1977. But both researchers were looking at non-native EMF's The difference was that Becker was not only looking at the harms of them but he was also looking at the regeneration pathways to teach people and to teach himself and find out how you can actually heal from these exposures On the other hand, Alan Fry was only looking at the harms of these frequencies and his information and findings were actually what ended up being weaponized. And actually he's still alive! I don't know how cogent he is...I would die to have an interview with him apparently he's in Maryland which isn't too far from me so like hopefully i can make some headway on that front but his research was very astounding with regards to what effects could be had on biological systems from non-navy MFs

50:57 He did some work in rodents and frogs, but he showed that you could basically make rats more docile by exposing them to non-native EMFs. So more suggestible, more calm even in the face of threat which is very interesting. He also found that you could stop a frog's heart using non-native EMF alone at sufficient intensity And so he found all of these different effects that could be had wirelessly on organisms now somehow is packed into the technology that we're all relying on 24-7. The modern human is not only getting issues from 5G towers, let's say but everybody has a mini 5G tower in their house in the form of a Wi-Fi router. So we're all consciously... I mean, a lot people don't know the harms

51:49 We're bringing this stuff into our homes, into our spaces. We're putting our children on tablets from like age two years old not realizing what this tech was actually designed to do and what it's actively doing like you don't need to actually know the conspiracy behind the issue you can just look at a two-year old with an iPad and try to take it away from them they throw tantrum right like there is a very very addictive quality to this technology that is also tied up with this non-native BMF part of the story because also hijacking our biology in different ways so yeah I think it's also something on but I'm gonna be exploring in the course that I am starting next month so it's already in like prelaunch but

CHAPTER 17 / 32 Discussion

Science Silenced Course, Flexner Report and Institutional Capture

Dr. Cowan is launching a new course titled "Science Silenced" on July 3rd, which examines the historical hijacking of medicine and science. The curriculum covers the Flexner Report and the systematic removal of light biology from medical training. Additionally, she is working with school superintendents in New Hampshire to educate them on the harms of blue light and EMFs in educational environments.

science silenced· flexner report· institutional capture· light biology· education

52:30 our first lessons on July 3rd. It's called Science Silenced and it's literally we're unpacking Jack's history lesson with like all the receipts and the primary references and resources, and we're going to dig a little bit deeper into certain things like the Flexner Report and specifically were interested in how medicine and science were hijacked over the past several decades or centuries, you could even say. And so that's going to be the focus of the course but it should be very fun to unpack that with people and see all the light bulb moments happen. Yes indeed and I also would advise people to go to your Instagram. You use Instagram in a very interesting way its aesthetically pleasing and you have these like kind of deep dive rabbit holes that go just through slides and thats how I learned about Dr Alan Frey because I knew about Obecker

53:16 We've talked about that before with some guests, even on the more esoteric side. The regenerative properties of this stuff and like what could the upper limits of that really be? There's some really interesting conversations there you put an electrical current through a wound and it heals faster. Nobody is doing that! You know where is that being implemented in society but Yeah, also it's just very telling that they've jammed the iPads into the schools because I have a three-year old daughter gonna be getting up into kindergarten age soon. And it's like good luck finding a school that doesn't use these technologies and if they're weaponized, well designed to create the effects they want then make sure you're using them at every possible instance that has anything to do with the state

54:01 And that's true. If we look at grade school kids, they get less outdoor time than maximum security prisoners. Like what are we actually doing here? And that's why I'm also excited in two weeks that I'm gonna be going to New Hampshire to give a talk to all of the principals and superintendents in the state to teach them about light biology and the harms of blue light non-native EMFs and hopefully encourage them to reshape their in school environments not only for the health of the kids but also the faculty too everybody is being affected by this

CHAPTER 18 / 32 Discussion

Pulsed RF Radiation, Blood-Brain Barrier Permeability

A 1975 study by Alan Frey proved that pulsed radio frequency (RF) radiation significantly increases blood-brain barrier permeability in animals. This effect is specific to pulsed waves, which are the primary delivery method for modern cell towers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and smart meters. This mechanism allows substances that are normally excluded from the brain to enter, potentially contributing to neurological degradation and dopamine system destruction.

pulsed rf· blood-brain barrier· cell towers· smart meters· alan frey

54:45 Yes, indeed. And to go back to Dr. Alan Frey a little bit you say in those Instagram posts that for two decades he was funded by the US Army and Office of Naval Research and He was probably the most prolific researcher on radio frequency effects on biological systems. You could make rats docile like you said alter their behavior heightened their heart rates and this was with pulsed RF frequency that is about 10% of what is now in a normal household which is crazy. And you also say that the

55:22 Important study to know is in 1975 he published a research study where a fluorescent dye was used to study RF radiation and the blood-brain barrier permeability. In animals exposed to RF, significant amounts of dye reached the brain tissue so people always speculate does it cross the blood brain barrier or not? I'm telling you right now this is the study that you can tell all your friends about but the effect was pronounced when the radiation was pulsed compared to continuous wave and all cell phone towers, Wi-Fi Bluetooth and smart meters used pulse frequencies so not just half or one or two all of them because as we established there is a history weaponizing technologies to get the desired affect and as Dr. Jack says it really destroys your

56:14 dopamine systems entirely. And then we are, yeah like you said more susceptible to making bad choices overall because our dopamine is destroyed as we're wrapping this thing up I just wanted to ask you about recommendations so obviously there's the people you talk to on your podcast a lot of them I haven't heard of and I follow this space pretty closely but when it comes to the health pillar of what i consider this to be a conspiracy show You hit on a lot of people that I'm unaware of. And so that alone is interesting, I'm curious who you think has been most impactful in terms of your podcast guests but also products that can help us in these areas like I have looked online for a non blue light emitting screen. I know you might recommend this other thing but just

CHAPTER 19 / 32 Discussion

Daylight Computer, Incandescent Bulbs and Sauna Therapy

Recommendations for mitigating light toxicity include using the Daylight Computer, a blue-light-free tablet that utilizes ambient light similar to E-ink. For indoor lighting, Dr. Cowan suggests incandescent bulbs from healthlighting.com, which provide a continuous spectrum of infrared and red light. She also advocates for full-spectrum red sauna bulbs over standard LED red light panels to better mimic the sun's natural healing frequencies.

daylight computer· incandescent bulbs· red light therapy· e-ink· healthlighting

57:05 Before I just ramble into all this stuff, let me turn it over to you in terms of recommendations for the thought leaders and the actual products that can improve our situation. Um, yeah, so daylight computer is making the world's first blue light free tablet that's actually renders at the same rate that like a normal tablet would. So it's literally just like using an E Ink Device but you can use it outside with ambient light so you don't need to use like a blue lit backlight However, it does have an amber backlight So if you wanted to use it at night You can use that and you know I'm too worried about the blue light. So that's great for you know For kids and for adults alike And you can do work on that and I think they have an update coming this month That allows you to connect a third-party webcam so you can even do like zoom calls on it Um, so that's a really really good

57:52 for people who are looking for devices that are made by people who are aligned in their beliefs and values. And so they're doing really good work over there with regards to light bulbs, I really like healthlighting.com they make incandescent bulbs of varying wattages So the higher the wattage, the brighter they are and again we want that bright full spectrum light indoors during the daytime And incandescent bulbs have both, they have a ton of infrared and a little bit of UVA. I actually like to use their UVA reptile bulbs inside in the house They're pretty bright and they also have more UVA and still a ton of infrared but they have like a bright white light color So there are really good option To help round out the indoor light spectrum if you have to be inside They also make nighttime red incandescent bulbs as well Which are like a dim red color so that you can use those at night as needed

58:44 They also make a red sauna bulb. So I really like, you know, red light panels have a time and place but i really like the full spectrum saunas bulbs as red light therapy because they have a continuous wavelength spectrum so they have... You know, a red light panel may have four wavelengths but a red sauna bulb may have 600 nanometers which is the beginning of red 601-602-603 dot dot all the way out to 3100 nanometer far in front light So you're getting the full spectrum from red out through far infrared that you would get from sunlight. I really like to use those sauna bulbs in lieu of most traditional red light therapies, i do still use like red light panels um i have mito-red brands in particular that i'll use if i'm on my peloton and it's raining out and i want to go on the peloton or work out inside i'll use that

CHAPTER 20 / 32 Discussion

Incandescent Bulb Ban, 2028 Lighting Standards

Despite rumors of a reversal, the ban on incandescent bulbs remains in effect, with even stricter standards set for 2028. These upcoming regulations will likely prohibit warm white LEDs in favor of cool white bulbs, which are more heavily blue-shifted. Advocates like Scott Zimmerman are working to generate petitions to revise these standards, arguing that the removal of infrared light from indoor environments is a public health crisis masked as energy efficiency.

incandescent ban· led standards· scott zimmerman· energy efficiency· epa

59:37 But it can also help, you can just add some of that red and infrared light back into your environment. That's also what the incandescent bulbs will do By the way, the incandescent bulb ban is not reversed. There were some influencers online that said that Trump reversed that ban when he first started his term recently and that's not the case and actually in order to reverse this ban we have to go back and revise the 2000 I think it was seven or eight bill that was written that set the standards for indoor lighting because that's actually where the problem lies because incandescent bulbs produce a ton of infrared light which is non-visible The standard set for light bulbs starting in 2028 is going to be so stringent

1:00:18 that not only are incandescent bulbs not going to be allowed, but even warm white LEDs will not be allowed. Everything is going to be cool white according to these new standards so we need to reverse that before that is actually enacted and so we have you know a couple years to make that happen and I know Scott Zimmerman is somebody who's been working on generating petitions and getting the word out there and he's been on my podcast a couple times one time with Jack one time solo So he's a good resource, but we got to make some changes in that department before this bill gets enacted and we're all being forced to bathe in this cool white LED light which is again even more enriched and blue light than the standard LEDs would be. And that's what makes it the cool color. And so we need to do something about that obviously there will probably still be some ways to get incandescent bulbs from overseas even if that were to happen

1:01:11 for the general population that's not going to be possible and most people don't even know that like incandescent bulbs are actually very beneficial on the best form of light bulb that you can use indoors. And, you can really think about incandescent bulbs kind of as like a filament on fire so it's more similar to firelight than anything interesting versus the led and fluorescent bulbs they use completely different technologies right um that work in an entirely different way as energy efficient bulbs and what makes them energy efficient again is the removal of infrared heavy light from the spectrum and the concentration of this blue wavelength light that increases the brightness but decreases the total spectrum that's being emitted.

CHAPTER 21 / 32 Discussion

Cold Plunge Biophysics, Semiconductors and Morasco Forage

The human body contains semiconductor networks that operate more efficiently at lower temperatures, a concept originally hypothesized by Albert St. Georgi. Using a grounded cold plunge, such as the Morasco Forage, at temperatures between 54-56 degrees Fahrenheit allows for the efficient transfer of photonic and electronic energy. This practice, combined with Epsom salts and sunlight, supports biophysical health by dropping the core temperature without the risks of extreme hypothermia.

cold plunge· semiconductors· morasco forage· albert st. georgi· grounding

1:01:50 So that's on the bulb front. What else do I want to say? What other kind of products are you thinking, I'm sure I have more just becoming brain dead rapidly. Well, I've heard on my list, I've heard you talk about the grounded cold plunge tub from Morasco forge. And then also these methylene blue trochees, I went to their website. I mean the marketing definitely sucks me right in as to how do I want to feel in this moment? We got something for every possible mood and feeling you would want a, like that But these are rabbit holes on their own, but they do seem to be things that you've implemented into your overall life. Yeah, methylene blue is like an occasional thing. The prescriptions ones are pretty low dose so you're not really having to deal with any

1:02:38 potential issues there with occasional use, but for the higher dose methylene blue usage it's something that Jack talks about quite a bit and it's not something you'd want to mess around with without really knowing what you're doing. So that's what I would say about that but with regards to cold I'm obsessed with my Morosco Forage Tom Seeger who is the co-creator of Morosco was the first guest on my podcast back in 2023 So it was really cool to be able to get access to this product. It's amazing, it's fully grounded, it's a metal tub and all of the electrical components are grounded. So there's a contact there so that when you get in the tub it's kind of akin to going in the ocean, which is also fully grounded and I keep mine around 54 degrees um...so it's not like an ice bath but I stay in there for 25-45 minutes three days a week on alternating days. We're talking a little bit higher temperature but longer time periods and that actually allows the biophysics of your body to work better because one of the things that Becker found

1:03:39 which was initially hypothesized by Nobel Prize winner Albert St. Georgi in 1939, was that the body is full of semiconductors and semiconductors people may know or may not work better at colder temperatures. So if you look at like the big tech industries when they're studying and doing research on semiconductors, they do it a very cold temperatures because semiconductor is work differently and better at cooler temperatures so by the same logic when you go into a cold plunge and can stay in there long enough to actually begin to drop your core temperature that is allowing all of the semiconductor networks throughout the body to work more efficiently to transfer photonic and electronic energy

1:04:18 because, you know that's what semiconductors do. They move photons they move electrons and so things can move more effortlessly in your system when you're able to drop that temperature a few times a week and the 54-56 degree temperature point is low enough to get you there in a reasonable amount of time but also high enough not pose a risk of hyperthermia and also not make the experience completely miserable if it's too cold you cant really stay in that long 54, 55 degrees is like a really good sweet spot for that. That you can stay in long enough to actually get those benefits but it's not going to be a drag to do so. So yeah we love our Morasco and we have it outside in the full sun too when I'm using it its also like I am getting beautiful sun on me at the same time and it's like a very nice experience. Also put 8 pounds of Epsom salts into it

CHAPTER 22 / 32 Discussion

Sabine Hazen, Microbiome and COVID Vaccine Research

Dr. Sabine Hazen of Progenibiome is collaborating with Dr. Cowan to study the interaction between light and the gut microbiome. Hazen's research has faced censorship after finding that COVID-19 injections may deplete beneficial Bifidobacteria, leading to increased gut permeability and inflammation. The ongoing project aims to determine how environmental light exposure can mitigate or influence these microbiome changes.

sabine hazen· progenibiome· bifidobacteria· microbiome· covid-19

1:05:08 Um, which is also very helpful. Yes. So there are a lot of opportunities if there's entrepreneurs out there to align with this stuff we're changing the customer's mind they're going to be demanding things that are different and there are opportunities to jump in there so just real quick would you name drop? A couple I'm sure like me they're all your babies But podcast guests that you think are most impactful or more off the radar. Do you have a couple names to drop? Well, I mean it's because it's on top of mind kind of Sabine Hazen, I did the podcast with her and Jack and that was the first time we all connected together. And it was really special and now we're working on a research project together with her lab Progenibiome which she has fully funded herself. She's also going through a ton right now being censored and having her papers redacted by people who are basically trying to hide the results that she's finding with the COVID jabs. She found out that the COVID jabs are harming bifidobacteria in the gut

1:06:08 depleting them and setting the gut up for more inflammation and more permeability, and lots of issues in that department. She's a microbiome researcher so this is her area of focus. And we're doing some collaborative projects looking at the interaction between light and the microbiome, and so really really excited to see how that plays out I've had lots of you know incredible guests on my podcast basically everybody that i have on is somebody that Very much respect and appreciate their work, and I've incorporated into my life in some way. I mentioned Tom Seeger was the first guest he's like a cold exposure expert Jack has been on many times obviously he is.

CHAPTER 23 / 32 Discussion

Kevin McKernan, SV40 Promoters and DNA Contamination

Genomics expert Kevin McKernan, a former researcher on the Human Genome Project, has identified SV40 promoters and DNA plasmid contamination in Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. McKernan is currently sequencing "turbo cancers" globally to investigate if these DNA insertions are intercalating into human nuclear DNA. His work, which also includes cannabis and psilocybin sequencing on the blockchain, provides a verifiable link between vaccine manufacturing flaws and potential oncogenic risks.

kevin mckernan· sv40· dna plasmid· pfizer· turbo cancer

1:06:44 the primary lighthouse for my work and like, my personal development as well. But yeah I don't know was there anybody in mind in particular that you wanted me to highlight? Uh well not really I know we can't let this go on forever but there was the guy got him his name is in my notes somewhere but I take so many notes it's hard to find things on the fly but What do you think remember what he does? Well, yeah You know I know that you like Bernice Eddie and I know that whole story because I had Ed haslam on the doctors Mary's dr. Mary's monkey story of Andrew Moreno there you go well I'm curious The guy is is he the one who thinks that or seems to have found sv40 virus in the Kovac jab because you've had him on the podcast Kevin MacLeod care

1:07:37 In the covid jab. So it's not the virus, it's specifically the promoter which is one of the worst parts of the virus so it's still a problem and that's been further validated by even centralized scientists. So it is absolutely 100 percent in there. It's in the Pfizer job in particular he's also found a ton of DNA plasmid contamination in both Moderna and Pfizer. Pfizer was worth worse than Moderna. And the problem with the plasmid contamination is that if this DNA makes it into cells, which is made more possible by the presence of the lipid nanoparticles, it can intercalate into the nuclear DNA and can cause cancer in that way so actually what Kevin is working on now is looking at turbo cancers from around the world sequencing them and finding SV40 and or DNA plasma contamination insertions

1:08:28 in labs across the world, in Germany and the US. This is a developing story but he's been finding some very alarming things yeah and he actually initially worked on The Human Genome Project He's like very very credible dude he runs his own lab now but actually in the weed industry he does cannabis sequencing and also psilocybe mushroom sequencing as well and they're building a repository on the blockchain of like the sequences of these different plants He did work on the Human Genome Project back when it was first a thing, working with the most credible scientists of that time who were top tier. So he has incredible training and so yeah whatever he's finding this is like hardcore stuff that's very verifiable. Interesting yes! He's high on my guest pursuit list because he has both components-the marijuana stuff

CHAPTER 24 / 32 Discussion

Boot Camp Reboot, Quantum Biology Educational Resources

Dr. Cowan offers several educational resources, including a comprehensive quantum health ebook and the "Boot Camp Reboot" course. These materials cover light biology, circadian rhythms, deuterium depletion, and seasonal eating. She is also developing a protocol for detoxing from COVID-related issues and is currently writing a formal book proposal to bring these "baby basics" of light science to a wider audience.

boot camp reboot· quantum biology· ebook· detox· seasonal eating

1:09:18 Uh, which is near and dear to my heart. And then also the conspiratorial what was in the jab thing? I mean it's just a perfect recipe for me, but yes check out Your podcast, I would tell everybody to do so lots of great guests. I will include your links in the show notes you got the Instagram where you're very active and the website itself where you have courses like the one you mentioned. You also have one about detoxing from COVID slash the jab but the science silenced is the one i'm definitely going to be paying attention too Any other links or anything to leave people with before we say goodbye? Um, so you mentioned my ebook That's like a really good place for people to start if they're brand new to all of this it outlines everything in like You know the baby basics but in a way that is very comprehensive With also like recommended products and services at the end as well. They kind of help support you and these lifestyle changes I've even had like middle schoolers do book reports on this book that I wrote this e-book So it's digestible for everybody whether you're like

1:10:16 12 years old or 82 years old, you're going to be able to assimilate the information and be able to use it to create actionable changes in your life and support your health and cognition. So I definitely recommend that for people who want more in-depth knowledge about like the science behind these topics. I would recommend my course Boot Camp Reboot which also provides access to the ebook so if you know And the more in-depth thing, I would just recommend getting the Boot Camp reboot because then you get access to both. And that was six lessons, four guest lectures and a Q&A. It's all self-guided now because we wrapped up but very comprehensive in everything from like light and circadian biology quantum biology exercise and exercise programming and how to get the most out of your fitness routines diet and like seasonal eating and deuterium biology and all these different things We got into in gut health and microbiome lots of different things

1:11:16 So that's a very comprehensive course that I'd recommend for anybody who wants to kind of dive deeper down the rabbit hole. And yeah, I guess that's mostly it for now. I'm also working on an actual book now—the proposal at least—so hopefully that will be actualized in the next year or year and a half or so, so people can stay tuned for that. Heck yeah, well I really appreciate your time. You jammed four hours worth of information into a two hour podcast It's a beautiful thing and like you and Jack have said we have a real economic technocratic World War three shitstorm headed towards our way And a lot of people would say oh you should do shows on that well What are you gonna? Do about that

CHAPTER 25 / 32 Discussion

Light Pilling, Protégés of Dr. Jack Kruse

The discussion concludes with a reflection on the "light pill" and the importance of health optimization as a defense against technocratic shifts. Dr. Cowan is highlighted as a prominent protégé of Dr. Jack Kruse, following in the footsteps of previous guests like Jackie Jolie. The host emphasizes that while geopolitical issues are pressing, personal biological optimization through light and nature is a more actionable and vital pursuit for the individual.

jack kruse· jackie jolie· light pilled· propaganda· health optimization

1:11:55 What you can do something about is preparing yourself to be optimized, to deal with as many challenges as you might have independently outside of the system. So I think in a way this is way more important but it's been a pleasure. I hope we broke the spell for some people. You are amazing and take care and keep up the good work! Thank you so much for having me Yes people Dr Alexis Cowan, you can't say she isn't educated on the topic right? This really just kind of came out of me loving Dr. Jack Cruz's work so much and wanting to have on another one of his protégés, similar to Jackie Jolie who really broke us in initially and did a great job right off the bat You can see I'm still messing around with the home setup trying to get it dialed in And I don't know why it's so hard for me to find the right distance from the camera To make myself feel like I'm not in an awkward position and all this stuff you know 99 problems but

1:12:56 The show must go on. So I didn't even really have to ask much going into this, you know? I really did want to know about the various parts of the light spectrum and, you know, the known light spectrum and just pointing out the cascade of positive effects. And that took a good chunk of the show as it should We're trying to go up against a very aggressive campaign of propaganda and a psyop that has captured a ton of people. Think about everyone you know who really does think the sun is probably the most deadly thing in their lives, or at least the attention that they give to it. The attention they give to avoiding it is greater than the attention a lot of people put into diet, or as I said on this show,

1:13:45 the phone. So to just say, tell us what you know about all the health benefits of all the various parts of the light spectrum? Yeah I guess it took 40 minutes to get through but that's because there is a lot there and she knows the material well so i got no complaints A typical question that I get when people hear what I do is, what's your favorite conspiracy? This is what I was thinking driving home from this interview. It isn't an oddly worded question because there aren't exactly a lot of favorite conspiracies these aren't really positive things so

CHAPTER 26 / 32 Discussion

Prohibition History, Energy Monopoly and Hemp Suppression

A historical tangent explores the theory that alcohol prohibition was primarily designed to secure an oil monopoly by banning home-distilled fuel. Similarly, the suppression of hemp is viewed as a move to eliminate a versatile competitor in the textile and energy industries. These legal maneuvers by "robber baron" industrialists are framed as the ultimate conspiracies that stripped the public of energy independence under the guise of safety.

prohibition· hemp· alcohol fuel· monopoly· robber barons

1:14:21 I wouldn't call them favorites, but I get what they mean. What's the most provocative? What's the furthest out least talked about mind blowing? I never thought of that sort of thing And to me, there are really two. The prohibition thing I love the take that prohibition was never about consumption that it was always about alcohol as a fuel that anyone can make with the simple alcohol still and their kitchen scraps you can't make oil the same way so clearly they wanted that monopoly and then you just also segue that into the weed conversation in the hemp conversation and the argument

1:15:01 That was also a fuel but also a textile application and those applications are so vast. And anyone can grow a huge crop in three months that it has the same mindset behind it, taking the power away from the people in terms of providing their own energy production and masking at all under laws about keeping us safe from the bad stuff and the consumption of it when they approved aspartame. So it's not really about our health right? And the proof is that they could have kept hemp, the male part of the plant excluded from the law if it was just about consumption but no

1:15:39 Anyway, that is a fun loop I like to go through when people ask because they expect something like 9-11 but instead you see the wheels turning about something that they've taken for granted for a long time. That has drastically altered the course of this society and really hooked everybody up to a wealth extracting machine and it's not so fun is it? What's your favorite conspiracy what aliens are living among us They probably are, but they haven't fucked you like the robber baron industrialists did. Anyway all that just to say that my new favorite to cite is light. It certainly isn't expected and it hits people right in that same spot that this seemingly mundane manipulation has had profound effects on every person you know and suppressing that information has sent probably millions of people into a premature death

CHAPTER 27 / 32 Discussion

Digital Hardware Engineering, CIA Fronts and Screen Manipulation

The host posits that the engineering of digital hardware, specifically the choice of blue light in screens, is a consequential conspiracy linked to intelligence agencies. Drawing parallels to MKUltra and the history of casino design, the segment suggests that tech companies act as partners or fronts for the CIA. This framing suggests that the hardware itself is designed to manipulate human biology and dopamine systems, regardless of the software or content being consumed.

blue light· cia· mkultra· hardware engineering· digital technology

1:16:30 And you most likely don't even have enough control over your life to take this new information and make a proper adjustment, right? That's another factor because it really is three things. Not getting enough pure unfiltered sunlight sitting under too much artificial light inside and staring at your screens too much I think it makes sense to break up the last two because we can look at our phone less. Sure, do that not only is the software manipulative but so many people think they're smarter than that but you can't avoid the light from it So there's nothing you can do there really unless you want to wear those goofy sunglasses all the time But even if your job isn't sitting in front of a computer It's most likely inside under artificial light So good luck This is tough To make it actionable

1:17:20 But I think that just going through the motions in one's head helps people to realize how little control they have. And maybe that jumpstart some kind of change in their life, I don't know But if this was intentional, even if it was kind of found out somewhere along the way and just tweaked every so often towards our disadvantage. The implications are bigger than anything else. And I like that she folds in the legislation along the way Obama signing that thing to make all the analog TVs forced into digital like that is a component of this CRT TV put out different light then the digital screens

1:18:02 But the blue light from screens being specifically chosen for the desired effect, to me that's not even in question. It logics out pretty perfectly it's exactly what MKUltra was doing every tech company from computer makers to big tech seems to be a CIA front or at least a partner So this is the framing that we all expect around digital technology, the internet, the software social media, the data collection and every other aspect. That's talked to death but it's very rare to hear about the blue light and the actual hardware involved being engineered in the same way in the story of the casinos and the manipulation of the bulls and bull fighting

1:18:49 To Dr. Jack actually knowing the ex-wife of one of the biggest names in tech and knowing without a doubt what these patents are about and how they were distributed, to me it's kind of like the Tech Industries' Dr. Mary's monkey kind of story and the most consequential conspiracy of our day because of how much screen use everyone is engaged in But I know the sunlight being good and even an essential nutrient is going to be a harder pill to swallow. People are so convinced the sun is dangerous that it's triggering! In fact, I barely ever comment on Reddit you can see my account unless I'm thanking someone or talking to a listener specifically It's probably less than a comment a year

CHAPTER 28 / 32 Discussion

Skin Cancer Myths, Ozone Hole and Genetic Adaptation

The host challenges the conventional link between sunlight and skin cancer, citing debates on the conspiracy subreddit regarding New Zealand's high cancer rates and the ozone hole. The discussion touches on the idea of genetic adaptation to local light environments and the potential for "crafted data" in peer-reviewed literature. Ultimately, the host relies on the intuitive observation that light is essential for life, comparing human health to the vitality of plants in full sun.

skin cancer· ozone hole· new zealand· uv light· peer review

1:19:36 But this material was fresh in my mind the other day, and I saw a thread on the conspiracy sub where someone was trying to make the case that the Jews do not have this historical claim to Israel because modern skin cancer rates among them are the highest in the world or something like that. Or at least the region right? And so I commented well all of this data works on the assumption that more sunlight equals more skin cancer and that might not be exactly right And a New Zealander chimed in to talk about the hole in the ozone over New Zealand and how high their cancer rates are because they get more UV light than anyone. And another guy says that if it were artificial lights and blue light, why do only white people in these areas get more skin cancer? I don't know. There's definitely probably something to adaption and being where your skin is genetically linked to the light of the area

1:20:33 but it's easy to craft data for any conclusion. I can't trust much other than my gut, this feels right to me. I'm sure that if you want to look through peer-reviewed papers and a bunch of data, you can find stuff that says the COVID jab was a good thing and we're all going to be dead in two years from climate change so i don't know... Like look at plants, not all species thrive under the same level of sun exposure. But generally speaking in my yard, the healthiest trees and plants are the ones getting full sun. They don't move they're not getting out of there light is life and all that as Jackie would say so I've read several books that break down The studies also on fluorescent bulbs and artificial indoor light. And it's pretty clearly health affecting to some degree

1:21:24 But it's easier to believe that it isn't because again, we have these indoor jobs and we can't really do much about it. And so let's not talk about or look at it which also is an interesting point because on that power of belief level maybe that is the move you know Kelly Brogan and Joe Dispenza and Bruce Lipton would probably tell me I'm better off convincing myself that blue light is the best medicine there is if I'm not going to change my habits? I don't know Why do we do anything, right? Just wish yourself healthy I guess. But either way going through the light spectrum and its range of cascading health benefits took almost three quarters of the free show. I had to jam in the blue light stuff because that is the true conspiracy and that was really all we had time for

CHAPTER 29 / 32 Discussion

Esoteric Health, Electrical Beings and Plus Membership

The second hour of the podcast explores protocols for repairing dopamine systems, the importance of Omega-3s, and the concept of humans as electrical beings. Topics include "EZ water," grounding, and the limitations of the modern medical system. The host encourages listeners to become Plus members to access the full two-hour discussion and support independent, sponsor-free media.

electrical beings· grounding· easy water· plus member· biohacking

1:22:13 In the second hour, we talked more about protocols for repairing the dopamine systems that have been damaged from the blue light. The importance of Omega-3 sources sunlight and melanin production, the medical systems limitations mitochondrial health and disease sun exposure and skin cancer myths, the flaws in modern medicine returning to nature for health decentralization of the medical system and personal responsibility. And we also talked about that notion of electrons and health or electrons as our energy, you know, you can get them from grounding going to the beach is good water easy water charged water I like that premise We are electrical beings and it's just a little more esoteric way to think about health is that You're really just trying to

1:23:07 keep your amperage up. I don't know, i like it! We also talked about kind of the ancient wisdom and the crossroads between that and modern science all good stuff you know? I really got to ask some of the deeper stuff in this second hour and I encourage anyone to become a plus member right how could I not And then I cut back before we got into the recommendations for health and wellness and all the products, because I find that stuff interesting. And maybe people are motivated to biohack their light life a little bit. She's very critical of the biohacking terminology

1:23:48 subculture, but there are still products that can nudge us in the right direction. Become a plus member and get the full two hours and support a truly independent platform that doesn't sell airtime to sponsors or donors. Donors who usually just want to promote their businesses anyway But good show amazing topic. I've been light pilled and I find it to be something that doesn't get nearly as much airtime as diet or vaccines, or germ theory. So I'm happy to spend some time with someone who is so well-educated on it. It's funny that the paleo crowd operates from the philosophy that we should stick to inputs that are most aligned with our ancestors and then they totally miss the light stuff. Hmm.

CHAPTER 30 / 32 Discussion

Apple AirPlay Approval, YouTube Algorithm Challenges

The host announces that the Higher Side's streaming site has finally received a Fair Play license from Apple, enabling full AirPlay support via the Safari browser. This technical milestone allows $12 tier members to stream Plus episodes to their TVs more easily. Meanwhile, the show's YouTube channel continues to struggle with algorithm suppression after a period of inactivity and multiple strikes, prompting a request for listeners to share videos to boost visibility.

apple airplay· safari· youtube algorithm· fair play license· streaming

1:24:30 I do hope to do this again when her medical system course is done. That sounds fun! I mean, I learned from her about the Robert Maxwell impact on the peer-reviewed journal system that's huge moving on in higher side news i actually got something quite positive to relay i have solved the apple airplay issue and finally gotten my application approved For those who don't know exactly what that means, I have talked about it in a few wrap ups. But I started this streaming site essentially to stream just my plus show for the TV tier and then I realized that you can't just build something and have it work because Apple has such a monopoly and such a tight grip on Safari that you've got to apply for a fair play license and all this jazz and

1:25:19 Dealing with a company like Apple is not fun, but I did it. I stuck with it. I got approved. I got their certificate in place and now you can use the Safari browser to stream the full plus episodes. It's a beautiful thing so great maybe as a small thing and only affects a handful of people but I know there are some who have said when you get that worked out, I'll flip over to the $12 tier So the ball's in your court now And, um, yeah. Outside of that I can't say there's much more to report the YouTube is still kind of in shambles. I don't like that being so public. I mean, I did it to myself, you know? Not only had a lot of strikes on YouTube and then I walked away from it for over a year and it's tough. The algorithm doesn't like that, but I would like to boost those numbers just so it doesn't seem so sad and pathetic

1:26:14 When a potential guest might look at that and think that our audience is smaller than it is, because that does happen. It's part of the game. So that is the only reason I care about that and I just don't want to hurt my options of interviewing who I want to interview because the podcast numbers obviously are way better but those aren't as obvious to someone So if you liked this episode or any recent episode, share the YouTube video. Let's get those circulating around a little bit just to boost those numbers if you don't mind anyway I also mentioned Kelly already but when it comes to The Last Show

CHAPTER 31 / 32 Discussion

Kelly Brogan, Parenting and Feminism Dynamics

Reflecting on a previous interview with Kelly Brogan, the host discusses the complexities of raising children in a "toxic" modern environment. Despite Brogan's controversial status as one of the "disinformation dozen," her insights into male-female dynamics and motherhood are examined. The host defends the segment as a way to bring the work of figures like Tom Cowan and Joe Dispenza to the audience when direct interviews are unavailable.

kelly brogan· tom cowan· feminism· parenting· disinformation dozen

1:26:52 It's a fair assumption that a show like that, that gets into parenting and relationships is going to get a mixed review. It's not relevant to everyone and there are some things that might be triggering to some people. Triggering is such an overused word but they might be reactionary to one thing or another it's a very delicate thing to talk about male female dynamics and all this stuff in parent kid dynamics you know everyone has their own opinion But I just thought it was interesting given how far down the rabbit hole she has gone and being one of the disinformation dozen, and now being open to questioning heliocentrism and germ theory. And all this stuff with that background that she has and being a conspiracy minded person, I think it's interesting to ask her about balancing those views with raising kids and all that because everything is so toxic and every trend tends to be negative for their development

1:27:50 But really it was also a way for me to get some Joe Dispenza and Tom Cowan content on the air because their stuff is interesting, but they just won't do an interview with me. So I try to find creative ways to at least touch on their work by interviewing their friends and colleagues once in awhile. But as for the rating... yeah 4.3 lower than i like lower than i ever want to see but i can understand it Some thought she was a bit of man-hater, I saw that in the comments but i don't really get that vibe. I think she rallies against this independent, I don't need a man feminism quite a bit and advocates for solid family unit even if she didn't exactly live that truth herself

1:28:35 She tries to empower women, right? That is her gig. So it's a balancing act between that strain of feminism and also the codependency that can happen—that whole thing about getting swallowed up in someone else's life or swallowed up in motherhood. And if you're with a person who isn't healthy for you... Yeah! It can be really hard to get out of that when you're in deep so I choose to interpret what she says as just trying to help women be strong enough to know when something isn't right and competent enough to know their worth and choose good partners. So that's all, but 4.3. I hope we can bounce back from that. I don't know how people feel about light either

CHAPTER 32 / 32 Discussion

Higher Side Meetups, Raleigh and Black Rock City

The episode concludes with a list of upcoming Higher Side meetups in Raleigh, North Carolina; Wainwright, Alberta; Austin, Texas; and Black Rock City, Nevada. These community events are promoted as essential for "energetic recharging" and building local networks of like-minded individuals. The show ends with a thematic song about the loss of the outdoors and the rise of a controlled, indoor society.

raleigh· austin· black rock city· meetups· community

1:29:19 Fingers crossed, but I'm sure people will not hesitate to let me know. So let's take a look at the meetup calendar. That's what we do right? You want to know where the next ones are happening? It's nice to get an energetic recharge from having these conversations with other people who actually live in your area, friends get made eggs, get exchanged joints, gets smoked. It's a beautiful thing higher side meetups.com but that's another one in the bag. Thank you for enjoying what I try to do around here and for sticking with me on the long road of curiosity and Hopefully at least self-improvement if that's all we can really control. 1:30:55 My mama used to tell us stories about playing outside That thing that we never had to do They say life is better since they covered the sky And got rid of all that pesky They had no protection from the sun back Just scary exposed out there I hear they fight over what they eat each night A burden we don't have to bear Because our factory meat cake Comes every way, tastes just right And we never have to get dirty in here Cause the pot is always white Just imagine the trouble

1:32:13 Finding some job to do Or finding your own The implants weren't made yet They aren't as connected As sometimes had to be Didn't get enough Trust them and let them care We have answers now forever Back then they I get none, I wake up I dreamt factory meatcakes didn't come every month
